'Batman: The Animated Series' is coming to Blu-ray in 2018

Batman: The Animated Series turned 25 years old this year, and Warner Bros. is finally showing it some love with a HD remaster on Blu-ray.

The announcement was made at New York Comic-Con yesterday at the Batman: The Animated Series panel. Polygon was in attendance and explained how it all went down:

Gary Miereanu, a Warner Bros. representative, held up a DVD box set of Batman: The Animated Series as a giveaway for the Q&A portion of the panel. He then announced that this would be the last time Warner Bros. would be giving away a set on DVD — because a remastered Blu-ray version of the acclaimed series is scheduled to be released “later in the year” in 2018.

Lots of CGI isn't the problem with JL, its thats its poor CGI what looks fake and CGI used in places where it wasn't needed (the Kent farm background for instance) that people don't like. As for music choice i don't really see people complaining about that, the song used in the latest trailer didn't go well but the actual trailer itself was fine, as for the films score weirdly enough its actually the DCEU fanboys what are complaining becasuse think Junkie is the "greatest" or whatever (Junkie is ok at best) and don't want Elfman a guy what done the best Batman score of them all and also done a amazing Spider-Man and Hulk soundtrack and theme.

  I still don’t see any problem with the CGI. Looks beautiful.
  As for the music, I saw a lot of people complaining a whole bunch about the song in the trailer, but I didn’t get why it was reacted to so viscerally. It was a fine, emotional/mysterious/eery sort of choice that fit well overall (except it was a little weird with some of the humorous dialogue). I think it was mainly Snyder fans complaining about that, too, though - only certain ones, though, but whatever. My point is that all the complaints were pretty blown out of proportion and unnecessary. We DC fans tend to be so whiny. It was a great trailer.
  Yeah, I don’t get people being upset about Danny Elfman either. He made the most iconic Batman theme ever. As long as there’s not a weird shift in the musical tone and some of the frequently used songs for the DCEU, this can ONLY be a GREAT thing.

Instant buy even if i do own them all on DVD. Honestly BTAS is easily the best depiction of Batman and his world outside of the comics and easily one of the greatest cartoons ever made, no Batman film or other Batman show comes close to what this show did.

My guess, they're using the same process they did for the MOTP blu ray, which sold well and received good reviews. Unlike Fox, Warner has shown to keep the aspect ratio as it was originally intended (4:3). The TNBA episodes should be easier to remaster into high def.

You moron aspect ratio has nothing to do with resolution the show was filmed on the same type of film as motp was filmed
