New 'Gotham' Season 4 trailer teases 'Batman Begins' moments

Gotham Season 4 premieres this week on its new night, Thursday, and FOX has released a four minute long trailer to get fans ready.

The first half of the trailer recaps the biggest moments from Season 3, before getting into the new stuff for Season 4. We get to see a fully formed Scarecrow and a Bruce Wayne who becomes a vigilante and fights criminals. There's even a moment with Lucius Fox that's straight out of Batman Begins where he shows Bruce his "suit".

This season of Gotham has the tagline of "A Dark Knight". It premieres this Thursday, September 21st, on FOX.

Looks pretty sweet, but about half way through the trailer I had the sudden realization that... "Oh shoot, I didn't even finish season 3", So I just shut it off. I reckon I'll go back and watch the remaining episodes before this premieres.

Magnificent! David Mazouz is getting closer and closer to resembling an adult Wayne, down to the confidence that's growing in his eyes. I don't know if it's method acting, or David is getting more at ease in the role of Bruce Wayne (he was a bit unsure and stuttery at the beginning), but all the pieces are falling together just at the right time. Love their version of Johnathan Crane as well, and am excited to see the evolution of Selina Kyle. That alleyway fight is right out of the comics :)

Minus the gimp mask everything else loosing amazing for Season 4 still waiting on their Solomon Grundy design. Also small nitpick and i know they go against the grain on pretty much everything but i wish Victor stuck to knives i feel he uses guns way too often.

This is pre-Batman, and I can't remember seeing him marking himself like he does later on. So maybe the knives come out when he stops being employed by the mob, and goes off on his own to kill for fun.

Who's that in the mask at 3:45? I don't think it's Bruce; it looks like a girl (and I don't think it's Selina, either).

I think that Scarecrow outfit's even creepier than Nolan's.

I know some people complain that this show doesn't follow current comics canon. I don't care; the people that produce comics canon don't care about it half the time. This looks like a version of Burton's Gotham and the show doesn't care that it's batshit crazy. That's more than good enough for me; bring on Season 4!

Looks VERY interesting! But i hope he becomes the Bat AT LEAST at the end... especially if this does end up being the last season... but depending on how well they do it may just pique interest again.

It definitely seems to be heading in that direction. If they've gone this far, I hope we get to see the true Batman at the end too.

So have they said how far they are planning to go with it? I never watched it because I assumed they would be teasing forever. If they are going to start putting costumes on I will go back and watch the lot of it.

They HAVE been putting on costumes, at least to the point of resembling comic book characters and taking on the named persona. To name a few - Penguin, Riddler, Jerome (he hasn't taken on the Joker personality, but he has the look down), Scarecrow, Zsasz, Poison Ivy is nearly there, Selina is almost there, Azrael, The Dollmaker, Ra's Al Ghul... and others I can't remember off the top of my head. They aren't just teasing, it's a full blown Earth 2 Batman origin tv series.

It feels like Smallville to me... I really don't like TV shows about comic books, they look so cheap... and as prequels it's even worst. They make happen so many things before the beginning of the super hero himself it becomes ridiculous. Bruce won't be even an adult and already would have fought every single Batman foes...

I haven't watched this show since the end of Season 1, which I enjoyed, but I just don't know if I can get into a teenage Batman. Also, I liked that the show was more about Jim Gordon and it seems like they are getting away from that.

I'm excited for this season. I think it will be the best yet. I'm hyped to see scarecrow. Looking forward to see how Bruce progresses and where this season will lead him going into season 5

Bruce can be a vigilante in training, but he can't call himself Batman or wear the Bat suit yet. That would be wrong and completely non-canonical.
