on Kevin Conroy: Warner Bros. has no plans for more 'Batman: Arkham' games

Rocksteady made it clear they were moving on from Batman after Batman: Arkham Knight (though they did come back for a spin-off, Batman: Arkham VR), and gave it a pretty definitive ending. Still, I expected Warner Bros. to continue with the popular video game franchise with some prequels by WB Games, just like Batman: Arkham Origins. But according to the voice of Batman, Kevin Conroy, Warner Bros. has no plans to continue with the Batman: Arkham series.

"I can't believe that they're not going to do another one, but they're not. Isn't that amazing?," Conroy told a fan at Wizard World Nashville over the weekend. "They made literally billions of dollars on those games, but no, there's no plan to do another one. Sorry." You can check out his response in the video below.

Hopefully we haven't seen the last of amazing Batman video games. There have been rumors that Warner Bros. is working on a Damian Wayne game, but there hasn't been any kind of official word on what WB Games will be releasing next.

    It's because Rocksteady is making a game of Superman and WB Montreal a Batman game without the "Arkham" in the title.

      That's what I'm expecting. A new franchise or something. But I really would've liked more Batman: Arkham prequels like Origins.

        I hoped for a prequel as well or maybe a sequel like Arkham Beyond with Terry McGinnis and an old Bruce Wayne.

          You can do a sequel to Arkham Knight, with a much older Bruce and having to go back to the cloak. Or they could make a true Justice League RPG...

            I don't see a JL RPG working but maybe a Arkham Knight sequel heavily inspired in The Dark Knight Returns could work but that could undo the whole Mythic Inhuman Batman ending of Arkham Knight.

        I want to see an actual Origins with the training with Ra's and other mentors from around the World. All forms of combat, gymnastics, escape artist things, detective work etc all things that made him who he is.

        Well theres rumor that the Damian Wayne game was scrapped into another prequel game actually. Taking place before Asylum but after Origins... but again being made by WB montreal as Rocksteady is indeed rumored to be making Superman... im hoping this is true as i would rather have this game than the Damian one tho both sound interesting... but who knows!

          Ohhh I didn't know that. I don't keep up on the video game rumors as much as the movie stuff.

          Actually the prequel "Batman: Arkham Insurgency" was debunked by Roger Craig Smith. There's still hope that the "open-world AAA title based on one of DC Universe’s most popular IPs" currently in development at WB Games Montréal is the rumored Damian Wayne game.

          I mean, I bet the new franchise will be it's own thing. A "reboot" I guess? It won't have anything to do with the "Batman: Arkham" series.

        Eh, just leave the DCAU to rest, IMO. It's been milked to death, including by the Arkham series. Even Conroy and Hamill are phoning it in now.

      There has never been any evidence whatsoever that Rocksteady are working on a Superman game. All we do know from their latest job advertisements are that they're building a small artist team dedicated to weapons, and that the game will feature an online component.

        Honestly no there's no evidence however Rocksteady put a shit ton of Superman nods in Arkham Knight including a phone call from Luther himself to Bruce, Rocksteady set up each new in Asylum and City so maybe that was them hinting at a Superman game.

          There's plenty of easter eggs in the Arkham games referencing the wider DC universe that led nowhere. The Cadmus poster in City for example had nothing to do with Knight.

    Well that's a shame, but I feel like they ended the series perfectly. I still get so much enjoyment from all of them.

      my only complaint is i would of loved to have a whole city full of people to protect, and being able to go into the batcave and fly the batwing

    I keep telling that to people, but no one is listening. A Damien game is rumored since AK was released, but it's nothing more. Such a game also would totally suck. It would only ruin the ending of AK and that's another reason why the Arkham games are great, because Damien doesn't exist in them.

    I truly hope this is not true... After all, I remember Conroy mixing up Arkham Origins with Arkham Knight, back when he said he was doing another (which people presumed to be Origins at the time). He later clarified it was not Origins he worked on, thus confirming development of another Arkham game. My point is, maybe Conroy doesn't know everything, as he hasn't been the most reliable source of information in the past considering his mistakes.

    Him and Rocksteady are now gone i guess, as he accidentally leaked Knight before Origins came out.
    I new Batman should be in order, so it´s either Damian or Terry.

    I'm sorry but Warner bros. recently have making some dumb ass mistakes when it's comes to the bat. And like I said before NOTHING WAS WRONG WITH WB MONTREAL. Origins was awesome. And the fact that, they might do that next game. I SAY DO IT. And MAKE IT BAD ASS

    That's because the next batman game will be made by WB Montreal and Kevin won't be voicing batman. The next game is either the first of a new series or another prequel

    They should work on a Batman Beyond game I don't believe that WB or Rocksteady won't make another batman game , but they should also work on other characters or make a JL or SS game

    I'm actually happy with this news. hope they actually focus on any future DC game with anyone what wasn't Batman in the future. It's already time for Superman having his own (good) game.

    I don't think they will make a Superman game or some dc character that is not conected to batman like i mention before nightwing and why the hell you guys want Superman game so much ? Superman is a BORING character he will get everything with one punch and he will die easily being shot by a kryptonite weapon thats why there is injustice game for. To have Superman and many others dc characters and of cuorse batman and all the batfamily and villains are just in case there is batman telltale game which is good and i getting to like a lot so they could make a batman fightting style developed by netherrealm. If i wold be involved with WB games i will suggest a batman fightting game called batman arkham kombat or something like what ever shit tittle wold be.

    I think they didn't make a nother batman arkham game because of the injustice 2 but thats just my opinion and the games i mean comic book games are triyng to make some great superheroe game wich is going to be spider-man

    I would hope they would do the Batgirl Origins story. From the time she was a cripple, then being healed in the Lazarus pit etc. Another game DC could do is the Damien Wayne trilogy from his start as Robin to his demise and then go on to show who will take his place. A Wonder Woman game would be great as well. She can fight both on land and in the air as well as take her invisible jet from place to place. They have endless possible options for games.
