Watch Gary Clark Jr. perform Junkie XL's 'Justice League' cover of "Come Together" live

Gary Clark Jr. was the musical guest on Late Night with Seth Meyers last night, and he performed he and Junkie XL's version of "Come Together" from Justice League live!

Gary Clark Jr. and Junkie XL collaborated on the "Come Together" cover for the Justice League trailer that was released earlier this year. Since then, Junkie XL was replaced by Danny Elfman, who will be taking over to work on the score for the movie. It's nice to see that it appears not all of Junkie XL's work will be thrown out completely.

Check out Gary Clark Jr.'s live performance of "Come Together" in the video above. Justice League hits theaters on November 17th.

I usually ignore covers for Beatles Songs (The Beatles are legendary), but I kind of dig this.

Not only do I dig it, but I heard Batreference after batreference. Weird...
Joker line obviously, Batfleck definitely doesn't wear shoe shine I feel like, I can almost hear Bruce saying, "I know you (he's been researching them for months) and you know me (he's the goddamned Bruce Wayne!)," he's got to be good lucking because he's so hard to see (I could see Bats in the shadows and just how he's covered so no one knows who he is and I could almost hear Joker or Gordon or Harley say this as a line in reference to trying to figure out who he is), and obviously it fits perfectly as they say come together. Wow.
After a second listen even the "one and one and one is three," made me see WW, Batman, and Supes in the last movie. Hell this could be written from Superman's perspective because, we "come togetherrrr, over me," since they're coming together because he's now gone. Plus the freedom bit. Truth, justice, and the American way and all.
I need to go to bed. Hopefully I'm not the only one seeing and hearing this.

It was done by a trailer music studio called Hi-Finesse, but they obviously took a lot of inspiration from the MoS score.

We're not going to GET Elfman's score until the soundtrack. The score is usually the last thing done, or close to it.

Elfman did took over but that doesn't mean Junkie work was thrown out. Mostly his stuff was kept, rewritten, maybe even a tempo change or two and compose for scenes that didn't have music in them. it's not a overhaul, just someone picking up the slack.

  yeah I agree none of us know, mostly it was reading the article and it said not all of Junkie music will be thrown out so it kinda triggered me. Someone takes over and it's considered a new slate and their work. Kind of like you're at work and you do your job, whatever it is, when you hit a sick day and someone else finishes the job and they take the credit like you never worked on it. It gets to me you know. And while the scenario is a bit from my ass it's a bit from experience, no big films just small stuff but from what I've been told it functions the same. it's a 50/50 or 65/35 thing, depending on time. Time is the big factor.

Despite the fact that I don't like Junkie XL at all (his music at least), I do like this cover... but that being said, no more of this song in the trailers please. We've had enough. I know this song pushes that "light" and "fun" tone they're going for, but I think it's safe to say we got that already. Really want to hear Elfman's score.

I'm excited! The '89 Batman theme and Sam Raimi's Spiderman are some of the best superhero themes ever. That's not excluding Edward Scissorhands and Beetlejuice. Elfman is by far my favourite composer. He'll do just fine with JL.

I like the Jam, as ab avid Beatles fan (at least it's better than the MJ version) But he's such a basic guitarist. In the intro he can't keep time. If anyone has seen his video soloing with John Mayer live, he sounds like he's never played before & has to get John to play over him.
