Despite an early lack of proper pacing and some shaky visuals, the issue really comes into its own late in the game. There’s some great character work throughout and some stunning pencils at times, and the sting at the end completely changes the narrative in the entire Nightwing series up to this point.

Bane: Conquest #4
Dixon has had difficulty presenting valid character motivations for the actions that the characters take. Add to that the fact that Dixon seems to have forgotten about elements that he himself established within the character, and it just provides a very uneven read.
