'Gotham' star Donal Logue says his missing daughter has come home

After being gone for two weeks, Gotham star Donal Logue announced today that his missing 16-year-old daughter Jade has come home.

"Thank you ALL for the love and support. We are good. Kasey and I wish to thank the NYPD. FBI, @MissingKids and countless others," he wrote on Twitter.

“Jade is now safely back home with her family,” Logue’s rep tells People.

“Donal is incredibly thankful for everyone’s support, and especially to the NYPD and FBI for her safe return.”

Logue turned to social media to ask for help after his daughter didn't return home following an event at Brooklyn’s Barclay’s Center on June 26. New York City police said that they found no signs of foul play and considered Logue's daughter a runaway. Logue came out publicly to refute that claim.

No details about how or why she went missing for two weeks have been released at this time, but the important thing is that she's back home tonight.

    Be nice. You are not going to convince anyone at all by calling them names like that. Would you be happy if I called you "BuzzFeed garbage?" The answer is probably no.
    And he's not 100% wrong here. Just because you identify as something, doesn't actually make you that thing. There is no biological or physiological evidence that supports that you can actually change genders that you are born as according to your identity. And please, do not call me "hateful" or a "bigot," I'm merely stating facts. If one were to be trans, I would still care for them as people, despite me not approving of their choice.
    What if I were to tell you I identify as a squirrel? Am I a squirrel? No! Cause there isn't any real evidence of me being a squirrel. I'm not going to abandon facts for feelings. However, just because science, myself, or Zappy here disagrees with someone's life choice, doesn't mean they should condescendingly slam them like this.

      However, with my previous reply stated, I do agree Breitbart is a garbage news source. I don't use it or any other Conservative "news" source like it (such as The Daily Caller and The Blaze) anymore than I use a Hyper-Liberal site like Occupy Democrats or BuzzFeed. In other words, I don't use them at all. I use actual reputable news sources, like The Washington Post, The New York Times, NBC News, BBC News, etc.
      I also will state that I am impressed with your second paragraph, as uncivil as the rest of what you said was, except that you and the article seemed to ignore a crucial determining factor for gender: Chromosomes. Chromosomes, which I'm sure you already know about, biologically determine your gender far more than any other issue in that article or that you have mentioned. You cannot change your chromosomes after birth.
      Now another thing to mention: Just because I don't approve of their life choice, doesn't mean it affects me in any way. It doesn't. I do care about trans people. I don't judge them or misgender them to their faces, I agree that is wrong. However, I do not have any obligation to agree with their life choice.

    That's interesting, because no one mentioned anything about "the right". You have the right to say you're a space cowboy, that still doesn't change the fact that biologically you're male (or female).
    Technology is even the only thing that's allowing us to have this discussion. Were it 100 or 200 years ago, "changing" your gender would amount to nothing but wishing it so. Just because you now can surgically and hormonally muddy the waters, as it were, doesn't change that biological fact. You know, chromosomes and all that apparently unimportant stuff...
    That said, that doesn't mean I'm so socially inept as to pretend if I were to call him a man to his face, that that wouldn't be disrespectful given the context. Instead, I would respect his right to be identified as a woman and I would call him a woman and treat him as such. But I'd still know the truth.

      Yes, well, "right" or "no right" I know that person was born a male and decided to become a female. And being her decision not only I respect it because it doesn't affect me in any way, but I also consider her a she not a he.
      I agree with you, I know changing gender sex or whatever is a bold choice and only exists in this new technological era but it has been done so I 100% agree with your last paragraph

Once again, the capacity for some fans to be total dicks - even with a story that has a happy ending - knows no bounds.

Being happy for the Logue family, then proceeding to explicitly refer to a gender that she doesn't identify with anymore (because you can't deal with it) is an illustration of how pathetic fandom can be.

Can't people just be happy that a family has been reunited?
