Wonder Woman: The Art and Making of the Film book review

After a successful art book for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Titan Books is back with one for Wonder Woman as well.

"Wonder Woman: The Art and Making of the Film" by Sharon Gosling is 192 pages of brand new photos, concept art, and behind-the-scenes images that show you how the first Wonder Woman movie was brought to life. It's not all pretty pictures, however. There's great insight from producer/story writer Zack Snyder, costume designer Lindy Hemming, production designer Aline Bonetto, Wonder Woman herself, Gal Gadot, and more.

The book even starts off with a foreword by Wonder Woman director Patty Jenkins. Here she explains what Wonder Woman as a character means to her and gives a shout out to the talented people involved who helped her tell this story. She concludes her words with the clever sentence "Hope you enjoy and thanks for your interest in our gal Wonder Woman."

The book is split into different sections, starting with Themyscira. Here we get to see tons of concept art of the island and the costumes for all of the strong Amazon warriors. The book seems to go in order of the events from the movie. So after Themyscira we are greeted with sections called "The Journey" and "Man's World", leading all the way to the end of the book with concept art from the battle with Ares.

My favorite part of the book is all of the never-before-scene photos it includes. Warner Bros. released about 75 Wonder Woman photos online, but this book has hundreds more. This is large hardcover book, and the picture quality is great. And as a bonus for Batman fans, it includes an envelope from Wayne Enterprises taped to the very back cover of the book. Inside, is a negative print of the photo that Bruce Wayne sends Wonder Woman in the movie. It's a cool collectible and an added bonus for what's already a great value.

The negative in the back is super cool. I've been going back and forth on purchasing this for a while. It was originally around $24 when it first went on sale on amazon.

Wow, these photos are awesome, definitely something I'd buy! One of my favorite things about the movie was how/when they revealed her armor. You catch a glimpse when she goes to steal "Godkiller" and they tease it again when she meets Etta in the department store, but when she finally goes to step out onto the battlefield, that moment feels so earned. Loved it!

This video is a expose on some of those malicious click-bait sites,fake inside sources(letter from ex WB employee etc) claiming Wonder Woman is a mess & finally, the blatant bias/hate against DCEU by popular YouTubers(Hypocrites, who have suddenly changed their colors after WW's release). I am so glad to see Wonder Woman do so well both critically and commercially !😀😀

Avoid that Film Gob channel at all costs.
It has a very immature behavior when they started the RedLetterMedia vs Collider nonsense instead of offering unique and entertaining content like those channels. Regardless of your view on these channels at least shows like RLM's Best of the Worst or Half in the Bag & Collider's Heroes & TV Talk are fun with different opinions that aren't fanboy rants.
I choose not to support or follow people who act like corporate slaves or advocate animosity in the geek community like that guy does with the Disney movies.

  I enjoy watching Collider Movie Talk and Movie Trivia Schmoedown, but this guy compiled some truth on certain biased(hypocrites) people/sites (on record) in this satirical video. I haven't so far watched all his other videos, but this one is lit. 😀

    "Amazon warrior princess defiantly chooses to help a world-weary soldier/spy try to stop an out of control war by travelling to "a new unfamiliar world" and defeat the 'God of War' Ares."
    Does any of this sound like Thor or Captain America?
    Even the plane thing isn't similar:
    "Steve Trevor destroyed the plane and its payload mid-flight. Steve Rogers, seeing no way to land the plane without the risk of detonating its weapons, crashes it in the Arctic."
    Sure, planes were deliberately destroyed to save people but their circumstances are no where near the same. By your logic, anyone who crashes a plane to save people is basically Captain America.
    I dont know what movie you watched but your description is nothing like Wonder Woman.

I still laugh when I see that box that Bruce sent the picture with, it's so typical "Bruce Wayne the billionaire". He could've easily sent the picture in an envelope but nope, that's not how he rolls. It came in an armoured truck, inside an exquisite box and encased in glass.

If the writers are trying to put across that he's probably trying to get Diana's "favour" then they're going about it all the right ways.... Or it could just be for security reasons and everything I said is for moot.
