Japanese toy company S.H.Figuarts has released three preview images of their upcoming Batman action figure from Justice League.
S.H.Figuarts did a great job capturing Ben Affleck's likeness, and we get a cool new look at the detail on his upgraded Justice League Batsuit as well. Check out the new images in the gallery below.

The figure looks well made but all I can think when I see this suit is what is the point of that super thin armor piece over the lateral deltoid. It would only protect him from attacks from 90 degrees and leaves the delicate shoulder joint completely exposed.
Perhaps you are overthinking it?
The people making these designs have a responsibility to think it out. We shouldn't have to suspend our disbelief or critical thinking over basic designs.
SH Figuarts are THE BEST 1/12 scale figures on the market today.
In related "news". The JLA manga is starting this week and WW is getting a special chapter that retells her origin. I don´t expect much and none of the Marvel anime projects really worked either but who knows.
Someone may crack the code that is needed to adapt US comics to manga and anime. Hello Kitty also teamed up with WB to promote her film, which is the first non-Japanese collaboration for that brand:

Damn this is really cool. If only ben looked like that in the movies. Concept art always looked really cool but it translated weird in real life. I find his bulkiness very unappealing

No! hated that too. Loved Bale in Batman Begins when he was bigger and the neck was a bit thicker but the super slim batman with extra thin neck from TDK and TDKR looks awful to me too. Somewhere in between Affleck and TDK would be good
I hate the TDK and TDKR suits as well, BB was awesome even tho he couldn't turn his neck and he clearly looked slower w/ 50+ lbs of rubber on him, but the reality is that Nolan shot the melee fights with lots of quick cuts so he never seemed as slow as he was in reality on set.
nolan batman fights look like fixed matches...its something like batman is paying goons to take beating from him...

The fights with bane are cringeworthy. It's like looking at the first lesson of a stage combat class lol.
Still Batman Begins will always be my favorite live action batman.
The second fight between Bane and Batman is my favorite hand to hand fight scene in all of cinema. It's like watching an actual boxing match.
I respect that, but to me it looked like a stage combat class. Especially, considering batman is the best martial artist in the world, you would think he could do more than boxing. And it makes no sense for Batman to go toe to toe with bane after he almost killed him, he shouldl've planned it better. Let me suggest John wick, it has the best fight scenes imo. Very realistic and flashy
Those aren't realistic. They're highly choreographed and stylized. I've done a little martial arts myself and am a casual fan of fighting sports.
Don't trivialize boxing. Holly Holm upset Ronda Rousey all too easily and I suspect we're about to see Floyd Mayweather do the same to Conor McGregor. Boxing is incredibly useful in real fights but it's not flashy.
Of course, as every fight scene in a movie, it's going to be choreographed. But I think they look more realistic than usual, at least there's some BJJ and other martial arts that are actually recognizable, just my opinion, man.
Holly used kickboxing on Ronda. And Mayweather will out box McG obviously, but in a boxing match. We all know what happens when boxers try MMA though. Just ask James tony if he wants to fight Randy Couture again.

I guess I should have specified, I actually use to do Muy Thai myself so when I say boxing I generally mean someone with well developed movement and striking, whether that be from American boxing or kickboxing.
gotcha. yeah, head movement and footwork come from boxing for sure and those are great skills but still think Batman can even better :P jk man. glad to meet a fan of fighting and comics as well though. cheers man
yeah, that bat symbol on BB was beautiful.
His neck looks slimmer because of the flexibility and because they thickened the cowl to make it more like a motorcycle helmet. I understand some people may find it less visually "Batman" but you've got to admit the functionality is well thought out.

Ben is thinner in Justice League than he was in BVS, so you may dig the look more. In BVS he was specifically emulating the Dark Knight Returns comic Batman who is big and bulky like a WWE guy, which is basically what Snyder was going for in terms of proportions. I think because it was so close to a perfect visual representation with the suit itself that's why the little things bother me, whereas with TDK and TDKR I thought the cowl just looked goofy to begin with and just accepted it as is because the movies were so well done.
agreed. TDK and TDKR cowls are ugly. And yeah, never liked the batman from dark knight returns so I guess that makes sense. It was a great costume in terms of execution, I just didn't like it.
In BvS he did look a little "fat", but in JL he looks slimmer with the new suit.

Bandai SHF figures typically pre-order at the $59.99 MSRP. Those prices are closer to after-market.

You don't know how Whedon is going to approach the JL, Snyder left for a good reason & Emmerich wouldn't be doing his job if he didn't and he was right about Suicide Squad incredible financial success but tragic narrative & Johns knows his comic book stuff I'm pretty sure he won't follow marvel & Affleck was going thru a lot of problems and it's better off with Reeves directing and Affleck starring & Comic will bring to light with a lot of things. Don't start thinking negative now.

Wonder Woman is on a tear right now, and deservedly receiving all of the attention. We'll most likely see a huge uptick in Justice League interest after SDCC.
Also, Matt Reeves is a great choice for the Batman movie (creatively, and professionally for Affleck's sake), in my opinion. The few words I've read from him have given me a lot of hope for his approach.

I guess it feels like that because right now all eyes are on Wonder Woman, and so they should. Pretty sure after comic con and the next trailer things for Justice League will pick up. THough I wouldn't mind if they took their time and even delay the release date.

It did, but it looks like will end up making more money than Man of Steel and Suicide Squad, at least domestically.

Because you're panicking? Get a grip and come back to reality where one of the DC trinity is having the most beloved reception to a DC movie since 2008 and stands as one of the most positively talked about superhero movies in general, ever. This positive attention on Wonder Woman can only help Justice League's momentum as there is actual positive speculation for a change instead of negative downtalking the DCEU by John Q. Public.
