Michael Beach is another 'Aquaman' villain for Jason Momoa to take out

Jason Momoa has Black Manta and Ocean Master to deal with in Aquaman, but today we learned that there will be more villains he'll have to take out as well.

Deadline is reporting that actor Michael Beach has been cast as Jesse Kane, a man who is part of a group of high-seas hijackers who has a fateful interaction with Aquaman. It doesn't sound like it's going to end well for him!

Aquaman production is currently on a break while Jason Momoa shoots more Justice League scenes in London. Aquaman is scheduled for a December 21, 2018 release.

  His character doesn't seem to be a part of DC lore, so yeah, he may not have a lot of screen time in the film.

I bet he'll be coming in for just a few short seconds/minutes, to represent all human criminals that Aquaman fights so that Jason Momoa can showcase his elite skills. Michael Beach will probably will get swallowed by a whale or something.

Doubt that. I'm guessing, by his looks and description, he's Manta's dad. Role that's pivotal to the story as flashback but short in length

So I was reading Aqauman #25 and it made me even more excited and I hope somehow MOST of this film takes place in Atlantis..... like 75%, I mean look at this... LOOK AT THIS! Also I know Aquaman isn't literally a fish, but sometimes I find it funny when he spends too much time on land, like a fish out of water thing. Also why does the DCEU have characters that aren't part of the lore, like who is Jesse Kane?? Why not just use someone from the comics?

The ninth is a new piece of lore like "the Narrows" underseas. This run feels innovative already.

  Not really. No.25 is directly based on the 90s run by Peter David. Even the newly introduced love triage with Dolphin originated there.

  It really does, this issue already had me hooked and I couldn't wait to explore all the other things we'd see. The visuals are stunning too and I love how fully realized Atlantis feels.

I hope some photos of the cast and maybe some art work. While I'd love some footage, the film is out a year and a half from now. I'd rather they wait at least six months with blessing us with a teaser trailer! Besides, given the CG heavy nature of this film, I think it could just as well take a while longer before we get to see some footage. It'd be better if our first impression of Aquaman's world are basically finished VFX don't you think?

The same happened with the equally early in production JLA. So at least a teaser scene and footage of the actors swimming, via wireset, should be expected.

So looking forward to this! I hope it's just as focused on Aquaman as Wonder Woman was on Diana. I think, besides the great casting and other talent involved in making this, one of the most exciting things about this film is that Romancing the Stone is a big influence. I think we're in for something great!

Scarecrow, Maroni, Lao, The Russian, Gambol, The Joker, Two Face. When used well, multiple antagonists can make the world feel way more lived in.Spiderman showed what happens without a clear lead villain tho.

His comic father is unnamed, so i expect the same. Manta´s family name is further unknown.
His first name is David and Kane sound menacing enough fit.
