Michael Keaton was a guest on Jimmy Kimmel Live this week to promote his new movie Spider-Man: Homecoming. Kimmel started off the interview by telling Keaton that Spider-Man was his favorite comic book character, and then hilarity ensued!

Keaton got red in the face and started to pretend to choke Kimmel! "I'm sorry, I forgot you're his nemesis," Kimmel said, referring to Keaton playing the villain in Spider-Man: Homecoming. But that's not what upset Keaton. "No, I'm Batman! What the f*ck are you talking about?," he shouted back.

When Kimmel tried to get the interview back on track and on the topic of Spider-Man, Keaton responded with "let's talk about Batman". Check out the funny exchange in the video above.

This is just another example of Michael Keaton being awesome and not wanting to let go of the character which he got to play back in 1989 (and again in 1992). Spider-Man: Homecoming star Tom Holland revealed in an interview earlier this year that Keaton would say things like "I'm Batman" on set during their fight scenes.

    Loved MoS, loved BvS, suicide squad I didn't like but I actually loved what little bit of Jared letos performance we got. Wonder Woman was just ok, a bit too simple and predictable, felt like the way marvel started out (marvel seems to be evolving with the most recent trailers.) can't wait for the batverse inside the DCverse. Loved Letos joker to reiterate. Love Cavill as supes and Ben as bat. Love Snyders talents just amazing and under appreciated ( don't understand why people are going so nuts over Wonder Woman and don't see the extended cut of BvS as an absolute masterpiece in the comic movie world. Are the majority of viewers really only able to appreciate "popcorn flicks"? I just wish they would stick to making "films" in their approach to DC Movies the way they did with MoS and BvS

      People goes nuts over Wonder Woman because they thought it was a great movie and some even think it was better than BvS, I really liked it but I by no means consider it a masterpiece, it's called having an opinion like you have yours.
      Next there is nothing wrong with popcorn flicks and there is nothing wrong with people who enjoy them but don't like deeper movies everybody has their own tastes.

      I completely understand why some were underwhelmed with Wonder Woman (that was one of my observations when I left the theatre), but I found it to be the absolute best way to present Wonder Woman in her first-ever major movie. It was a safe approach to make it more in line with Marvel's style, but it still maintained the DC-movie aesthetic. It did have a standard formula, but I think that is what's going to make the movie stand the test of time. Superman: The Movie was Patty's biggest influence, and it shows.

      The complexities, nuances, symbolism, and layers in BvS make it much more susceptible to division (even though I fully agree that it is an absolute masterpiece in the comic movie realm). Wonder Woman's easy-to-digest formula has only created a scale of "Holy shit it was awesome" to "Eh, it was okay." I think that says a lot about the movie's simplicity. And, to reiterate, I think that simplicity is what will keep it beloved and approachable. Patty didn't try to do too much, and I believe that was the best way to go.

        Considering that doing too much is usually met with misunderstanding or misinterpretation, I'd agree with you.

      Jimmy refers to all DC characters with some sort of aloofness that's a bit off-putting to me because he acts exactly the opposite way when it's a marvel character. His personal preference aside, when he's agreed to promote films on his show he shouldn't be biased like that.
      (BvS was different because of Ben.)

        I never noticed that, and even if it were true, let's not pretend the both of us aren't biased towards DC, so all of this pointing fingers doesn't really matter to me.

          We don't agree to promote marvel movies on our shows and half-ass it.

        Seems like a non-issue that only raging fans would ever even bring up in the first place... He debuted one of BvS' trailer, had that "deleted scene" which had millions of views, and has interviews for any of those movies, like any other talk show host... Care to present video as evidence of this or is it just him saying "Spider-Man is my favorite"?

          I just made an observation and made no claims of calling it an issue. I suggest a re-read.

          I already mentioned that all of it is because he's friends with Ben.

          There are videos where he literally said 'I'm more of a marvel guy' 'I don't know/care much about DC'. You're welcome to search for them if you like (because they exist), I don't remember what videos they were.
          I'm not saying it's wrong for him to prefer marvel but that there's no need to talk of DC with that disinterest—but all this might be too much for you and not enough 'black and white'.

            What disinterest? And if you don't have proof to back your claims up, it's really not my job to do so. He is doing his job, promoting and talking about the films.
            Also, nice ending point there, totally helps your case.

        Ah! That explains why all DC Films get promoted on Conan's show! Loved that episode for BvS with pretty much all is the core cast!

    I know Henry Cavill is Super busy filming right now but I really hope he gets lots of interviews for Justice League.

      Press tour interviews are part of a regular contract, but Black Widow deliberately lined up the filming of GitS to not promote Cap 3. Hups. The question should be how much time the JLA cast has for re-shoots. As it´s unlikely that all can be assembled at once.

    The Black Panther trailer is quite something, eh? To think that African Batman, to quote a top Youtbe comment, will get his solo film before Batfleck.

    My hope for Iron-man: Homecoming ain´t too high though and i frankly disliked Keaton in the trailers. Don´t fuck it up Sony.

      Sony? Isn't this pretty much in mickey's playhouse with minimal involvement from Sony?
      Venom with Hardy would be fully Sony's.
      Black Panther is the first marvel movie I'm excited for in more than half a decade, but it's still a teaser so I'm gonna tread carefully!

        Spidey is a 80-90% Sony picture, as they are paying and profiting from it. Disney only has say over how "their" characters are depicted, while supplying script doctors and so on.

        Turning Peter into a sidekick who has to step up may be their idea though (that´s how the new toons do it), to contrast with the top dog Iron-man. All of that completely mishandles his basic premise of Spidey being the first premier teen hero and not another Robin. We will see but i expect a passable 6/10 picture. Proof me wrong Sony!

          Are you talking about the ultimate Spider-man show?
          I thought TASM2 pretty much went that way with the deep ties to Oscorp which is loosely based on the ultimate Spidey comics, if I'm not mistaken!

            The only adaptation that has anything to do with the Ultimate comic is the PS2 game, his best game adaptation yet. Rhino´s (bah) mech suit is from that comic though.
            TASM2 adapted more sources that BvS... and with may less regard. The new toon is also "loosely based" on the new film. A Disney production btw.

    I know it will never happen but a Spider-Man/Batman movie would be so awesome.
