Ben Affleck does his Batman voice for charity on NBC's Red Nose Day special (video)

Last week Ben Affleck said that he'd be doing his Batman voice on NBC's Red Nose Day special, and he delivered!

Red Nose Day is a charity that uses entertainment to raise awareness and money to help kids in need around the world. Last night, Affleck was part of a skit that took place towards the beginning of the show. It started with kids asking for sweet requests like nice schools and clean water, but then the comedy rolled in.

One kid's wish was for Ben Affleck to do his Batman voice. "Your wish is my command," Affleck replied. The kid was unimpressed, however. "Noooo! Do it the way Christian Bale does it," he complained.

"Your wish is my command!," Affleck said in a deeper tone. Still unimpressed, the kid just wanted Christian Bale to do it instead. Check out the funny exchange in the video above.

  Cast a non-white Batman and see what happens. Kids would probably be fine with it. Marvel actually did that the modern Nighthawk, to great result in the 00s.

    Where did you hear that D.C. wanted Will Smith to play Superman in Returns? Because I still remember that time and his name was never mentioned. Burton wanted to cast Nick Cage, McG and Brett Ratner both wanted to cast Matt Bomer if I remember right, and Synger went with Brandon Routh. Maybe you're thinking of The Matrix?
    Also, cast a black guy as Batman in animation and I'm sure no one will care. Cast a black guy as Batman in live-action and watch the ensuing uproar. Maybe not from little kids, like you said, but plenty of older fans would be livid.
    Me? I'd be upset if they made a casting change like that in the current iteration because I really like Ben Affleck in the role. I don't want anyone replacing him as Bruce Wayne. Sometime in the future under a different contuity? Sure. Go for it. But it doesn't necessarily mean he'd have a deep, intimidating voice. Black people with high voices totally exist.

Ben's Bat-Voice is so cool (Kinda reminded me of Kevin Conroy's voice).Maybe he could do this voice in The Batman instead of the voice modulated one(which I like). ☺️

  It shines through every now and then through the modulator. It's most noticeable in the JL trailer, when he's talking to Gordon

Sounds like one of the older Batman's. But now it makes total sense why his voice sounds like it does when the voice changer is applied.

that first voice sounded AWESOME. deep and threatening but not over the top. I hope at some point we can get some scenes where he is using that voice instead of the modulator. though i do really like the modulator

  Because it wasn't actually his. The only time we hear his real Batman's voice was through Batman Begins. In the last two movies his voice was altered in post-production, and that's why it sounds more robotic (in fact you can still listen to it in the second TDK trailer where it wasn't altered yet). Nolan himself said it ;)

    Yep! He messed up his voice doing it on his own in Batman Begins, so they helped out with special effects in the next two.

Off topic but WW soundtrack leaked and gotta say I'm impressed so far.
Update: Well no memorable track like Beautiful Lie or Flight and Goodbye My Son which is a little bit disappointing.

His actual voice is very Batman like but I like the voice modulator.
Adds more credibility to a secret identity and anyone that's ever been Batman in his place, like Grayson or any of the others ( I'm sure someone has filled in for him over the years )

LOL, cool to see them having fun with it. When I heard Affleck's normal, rugged Bruce Wayne voice in BvS, I thought it was a perfect Batman voice that needed no added modulator.

The absolute best Batman voice to me is, hands down, Adam West. Ben is my second favorite, then Keaton. But Michael is awesome in his other work. #shouldofwonforbirdman
