Everything you need to know about 'Injustice 2'

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment unveiled a new Everything You Need to Know trailer showcasing every element of the Injustice 2 package. The video gives players a closer look at the game’s Story Mode and the variety of Super Hero and Super-Villain alliances at play, including factions led by the Dark Knight, Gorilla Grodd, and others, along with wild card characters like Supergirl and Swamp Thing.

Players will also get an introduction to the brand new social experience that Injustice 2 is bringing to the fighting game scene. In the game, players will be able to form a guild with up to 50 other players to build their own team of Super Heroes. They’ll also earn gear and other rewards individually that are exclusive to guild gameplay in daily and weekly cooperative objectives as they collaborate with friends to climb the worldwide leaderboards.

This comprehensive overview has everything players need to prepare for the launch of Injustice 2 on May 16 – from an in-depth look at the new Gear System, to a sneak peek at Multiverse mode and even the Injustice 2 mobile experience.

I'll wait for the PC release announcement. If it doesn't come out after a year on PC I'll get a used console for as cheap as possible just to play this.

I called it -- the game washes off all 5 years of the prequel comic. In a way, it's kinda funny.

Injustice years 1-5 is still canon, hense why Black Canery has returned with Green Arrow from another universe and why Harley is all friendly with them in the game.

    The trailers and game clips have referenced it though, the Devs have confirmed the comic series is canon.

      I haven't heard them actually confirm that. I heard Boon say that he respects the comic and its popularity, and that it had influence on the game.
      Just wait till the game comes out, you'll that it adopts parts of the comic, but changes them significantly.

You'd rather play a straight up Superman game with the same attention to detail and dedication to quality as the Arkham series. There you go! :)

Hey, I'm with you man! I'd definitely play any superhero game on the same level of those Arkham games. I wouldn't be buying this one, but a Superman game with the quality of Arkham Asylum would be fantastic!

  That's not happening. I mean, don't get me wrong, that would totally be nothing short of greatness, but...yeah...Superman...It's probably the hardest superhero game to do. They can, oh IDK, have someone mass produce Kryptonite so that when Superman fights regular NPC's they can actually put the hurt on him. However, then people will more than likely complain how so unoriginal that is, always with the green rock, etc. You know how it is with Big Blue. Anyway, Injustice 2 is looking sweet! You getting? Do you have a PS4? If so, let's fight.

    That is until they announced another Batman at this year's E3. Heh-heh. Which I'm very much looking forward to. Hopefully the rumors of its development is true. I could go for another awesome Batman night. But I agree, out of the superhero games currently announced, I too am looking forward to Spider-Man the most. Hopefully, which seemed so, they give as great of a care as Rocksteady gave the Arkham series, if not better.
    I tell you, another game, that "Avengers Project" is bugging me from time-to-time. We still have no idea what exactly is it, but that it's an Avengers game. Hopefully not in same manner as that Marvel Alliance- thing...
    But yeah, I'm totally in support of a "triple A" Superman game whenever, if ever anyone has the cojones to do it.

I have my Ultimate Edition preordered, can't wait to be able to download and play it next week. Will be playing the mobile version of the new game starting tomorrow to hold me over till the console release day

I´ve cancelled the ultimate edition and only got the regular one.
The bonus dlc characters aren't worth it, i dont want MK characters (sub zero, raiden) and even black manta. they just dont do it for me and aren't worth 30 extra bucks

Yeah I won't lie I was disappointed to learn 2 of the 9 will be mortal kombat characters. Even though I love raiden and sub zero I was under the impression that all dlc characters would be from dc comics

  well you have to consider you pay 10 bucks for every dlc pack. We would pay 6 bucks for 2 mk characters and they are not worth the money in my opinion. The reverse flash is smth i would get tho but you can unlock him i think

    Reverse Flash skin is DLC only and so far you can only get him along with John Stewart and Power Girl with the Ultimate Edition, you can't get them in game at all.

      I'm pretty sure they will release them separately at a later date for a small price, don't know when though. Honestly Reverse-Flash is a big reason i pre-ordered the Ultimate Edition as he's one of my favorite villains, would have got all the DLC characters anyway so this just means i've payed for them all up front.

      iam digging reverse flash too, the flash is my favorite dc hero but i dont like how 2 of the dlc characters are mortal komat ones. I rather purchase them separately but 30 extra bucks and i dont even dig most of the characters they offer. I dont know it just aint worth the price in my opinion. Iam gonna purchase it separately

      Yeah honestly i'm not to happy with 2 MK characters either, i can just about accept one because NetherRelm love their guest characters and crossovers but 2 is too much, i would rather the guests were Watchman characters or Hellboy. I'm happy about Red Hood, Starfire and Black Manta though as i wanted those 3 in the main game.

      Its a shame Darkseid is pre-order only for now, i was always going to pre-order the game but it sucks for those who don't. Darkseid does look incredible though.
