on Warner Bros. wants to shoot 'Suicide Squad 2', 'Gotham City Sirens', or others this year

With today's news of Aquaman's release date being pushed back to December 21, 2018, there's an opportunity for Warner Bros. to release another DC movie earlier in the year. To do that, they'll have to start shooting this year, and according to Variety reporter Justin Kroll, Warner Bros. is currently weighing their options.

With Aquaman beginning production in May, Kroll says that Warner Bros. wants to put another DC Comics movie in front of cameras this year. And they have a handful in mind to choose from. Kroll says that Gotham City Sirens, The Flash, Green Lantern, Suicide Squad 2, and Dark Universe are all being considered to begin production this year.

Thankfully, Kroll notes that Warner Bros. is content with just shooting Aquaman if one of the five scripts above aren't ready to go this year.

Which of the five mentioned DC movies would you like to see begin shooting this year for a 2018 release? Let me know in the comments below!

Well for one, however the Justice League movie ends, it should end unresolved to a certain extent leaving an opening for the Flash Solo movie to finish the story.

Deathstroke can be a bobba fet type in the Batman movie, but shoudl not be the main villain, he should be saved for the Nightwing movie.

Would be great for Titans no doubt... but id really love to see the scene from Arkham Origins played out on the big screen between Affleck and Manganiello with the type of action from the warehouse scene in BvS. O.O

Sirens is NOT a good idea unless its made with a budget under 60 mil.

Justice League should end mostly with the heroes getting their asses kicked and losing, barely surviving, and then Flash takes this knowledge and attempts to inform Bruce again in the past, but THIS time he unknowingly alerts Bruce of a different earth. Earth 1 Bruce. DCEU in result is revealed to be Earth 2.

Yes, he's the fan favorite, and could become a huge draw if done properly. This is why I don't want them to rush it now after constant delays. It will need some time on post production.

They managed to cover almost every cliche thing that people complain about the DCEU. But he totally neglected the Martha scene! Hahaha! God this shits getting so old. People are so goddamn immature and no one will let themselves enjoy ANYTHING nowadays... they just live to bitch. CONSTANTLY. Ugh... society is so screwed...

Off topic: Gang watch Iron Fist now. The critics were wrong... again. 19% on RT, Jesus Christ.
Devoid of "originality". What? The pilot is a 9/10 and i will watch the whole thing today. It´s close to the comics too and i love how slow the story unfolds. You get to see every step, Nolan style.
Edit: Ep. 2 also rocked and already featured his magic fist.

I find it extremely boring, I'm constantly skipping scenes to see if it gets better but so far it doesn't seem like it.

The Netflix shows are the real deal. The best the scene has to offer but the second half of Cage had issues. The ABC slate is a mess though, outside of Agent Carter S01.
Stay far away there. Here is the Bingo stale for IF:

Eh... i wouldnt say the best the scene has to offer... Daredevil was pretty awesome and is def one of the best but not all of them are that great... :/

        1. residentgrigo Avatar
          residentgrigo

The second half of Cage was basically a middle of the road CW show and Jessica had too many eps., which lead to repetition, but what Netflix is doing (the cinematography alone!) is indelibly setting standards. All DC shows have way more problems, as the hight ep. count.
Riverdale is really good, but CW will kill it too by giving it 100+ eps. Just you wait.

The Netflix series are HIGHLY overrated in my opinion. Daredevil Season 1 was great, Season 2 went downhill though, Jessica Jones was bad/mediocre, Luke Cage was good until the second half, and Iron Fist has yet to catch my interest.

Marvel needs to do a lot to catch my attention...I just don't care anymore. It's all the same at this point.
Their greatest characters, Spiderman, has been rebooted so many times that I won't bother tuning in, and Wolverine, just came to the end of an era. Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine. There is no replacing him.

    4. Alan Conn Avatar
      Alan Conn

May catch it sometime... never did catch Cage or Jones for that matter... LOVED Daredevil but ive just lost interest in all these comic shows lately... maybe just too many to keep up w for my brain... i also do t like that he wont have his costume... thats some of the biggest reason people get into the comics, bc they LOOK awesome... i dont wanna see Danny Rand fighting dudes... i wanna see IRON FIST fighting dudes. They just dont get it. Daredevil was pretty sick tho. But alas i just havent even been keeping up w my DC shows and if im not keeping up w them Marvels shows dont even have a chance... my first love will always be DC. Hehe

Putting dragons and shit into IF season 1 would kill ANY room to grow. That´s what The Flash struggled with. S01 went all in and the rest is a gradual decline. No more of that please.

i dont care about any of those two movies and probably will be crap, SS 2 is just asking for trouble unless WB stays the fu*k away from any of it in ever ysense and Gotham Sirens is just stupid as an idea for a movie, besides the fact that they will turn the villains into heroes which is always retarded

  23. Alan Conn Avatar
    Alan Conn

But thats not a shared universe... i mean they dont have to force it but little nods are cool to have imo... sometimes the marvel films do get a little forced in trying to make it a shared universe so i get what your saying... one thing that bothers me w marvel is that the films are suppose to be leading up to infinity war but the only ones that seem to r gotg and the first Avengers film... otherwise its all disjointed and unrelated... whatevs tho i guess... marvel movies are great but so far im digging the DCEU more personally.

I thought it was obvious... A gritty, noirish, detective Batman film. Street level, real dark, detective Bats tracking something... serial killer? Oooh! Be cool if it started as street level detective story about him tracking murders which end up leading to the mother fuckin COURT OF OWLS MOTHER FUCKER!!! YEAH!!! But that may be hard to do in just one film... and im no writer or i totally wouldve already written a workup... :/
