Gal Gadot is Wonder Woman on another Empire magazine cover

Yesterday we got an early look at the special subscriber cover for the April 2017 issue of Empire, and today the magazine has revealed the cover that will be on newsstands.

Gal Gadot can be seen striking her classic Wonder Woman pose on the new cover. Empire says they'll have 8 pages inside dedicated to Wonder Woman, which hits theaters on June 2nd.

The Wonder Woman issue of Empire will be on sale digitally and on newsstands this Thursday, February 23rd. Be sure to come back to Batman News then for all the new images and info!

  I love the way that, while her hair as Diana is a perfect $1000 'do (the sort of thing Gal sports on magazine covers), when she's Wonder Woman it's got this wild, primal thing going on. No more of the 3-cans-of-hairspray look from the Super Friends years!

"This weekend" yeah right. In my experience (in the US and outside a major city area), it shows up at the beginning of the month of the cover date... so start of April for me.

Sooo....curious, and just to get this out of the way now. From a non-fan of the DCEU, what is the acceptable Rotten Tomato score and BO that Wonder Woman needs to hit to be considered a success?

EDIT- I guess I should have been more clear. This was really a half-serious comment....more in good fun. After BvS, we all heard that it "shoulda made $1 billion bc of a built in fanbase" (lol, ok) and obviously the RT score was lousy (not important to me). I'm curious to see what detractors and non-fans of the DCEU will deem a success for WW and JL. I personally can't wait for both of these movies. I check Twitter every day, multiple times a day waiting a trailer for either of them. June can't come soon enough!

That only matters if you care about what rotten tomatoes thinks in regards to superhero movies. They've proven to wildly, randomly inconsistent when it comes to scoring this specific genre.

  As much as we can enjoy these films surely you want the rt score to be great. It's hard being a dc fan right now when everyone is screaming that the dceu is shit and pointing to the rt score. Plus I think dc needs to get critical favour to put the narrative back into a positive. If wonder woman gets 25 % amd justice league much the same it doesn't matter about b/O. Affleck will walk and the dceu will probably start again.

    When flipping through my Directv guide and see certain movies, I play the "I Wonder if This Crap Scored Better Than BvS on RT Game". I hit info to see how it compares. My last one was Wolverine Origins, RT score 38%

      I have a soft spot for Wolvy Origins too. It takes creative liberties (what adaptation doesn't/shouldn't?), much of which I found to be perfectly fine, but most importantly it has good character storytelling. Definitely gets an exaggerated negative rep for the Deadpool thing.
      Also some of the best acting from Hugh as Logan. Maybe it's not the best movie ever or impossibly perfect, but does it really have to be to be considered enjoyable or good?
      Sad that irrational bandwagon hate can tear down nice things so frequently... You'd think we'd be growing past that as a species by 2017, but we seem to be regressing even further lately.

Considering Batman Begins couldn't even get to $400 million (and that's the best of the trilogy), anything over $300 million will be well done for Wondy's first movie. My bet is, it will reach Suicide Squad's BO. As for RT, that has nothing to do with the quality or success of a film, so there's no goal for a RT score.

  Batman Begins had to fix a dead franchise so it had an uphill battle, not so much for Wonder Woman. Her popularity has been consistent and still remains the most popular female character.

    Begins was a reboot, it wasnt difficult to be received, a decade passed since Clooney, i remember going to the movie theatre hopeful just because it was a new version...
    WW gets the (unfair) pressure of saving a divisive franchise, only months after the last critical crucifixion, no small task being DC main heroes, and all the 'DC is doomed if this underperforms'...
    But is going to be a hit probably, WW first film ever has a global interest.

The simple fact that you had to go back with an exhaustive edit and make sure you were clear, as well as point out any possibly misperceived faceitiousness, kind of sums up the problem with society today - be it BvS/MoS detractors or political extremists.
The nature and meaning of your initial question should have been intuitively clear to anyone with a functioning brain. That we have to hold the hands of fully grown adults as though they were babies incapable of keeping up is depressingly eye-opening.

With this recent test screening. I'm not in the industry so I don't know, but it seems early. Do you think WB was willing to test it now because they have that much confidence in it? Surely they knew that people would reddit the heck out of it (which they have) and that "news" sites would be gathering reactions to post articles about supposed fan reactions (which they also have).

The anticipation for this and JL is killing me. I'm ready for a full on DCEU marketing plan for the rest of the year!

Whole point of a test screening is to see how people react and what kind of improvements they can quickly make before release. Not too early at all, timing matches up with pretty much every other test screening.

This is the second test screening they had. The first screening happened a few months ago. In the first one, the audiences did not like the 3rd act of wonder woman, so WB reshot it. The recent screening has had very positive reaction

  WTF??? Lynda Carter is a goddess and she was perfect for Wonder Woman as Christopher Reeves was for Superman, but she can't play Diana forever.
  Gal was amazing in BvS and I have great confidence in her. I don't care about WB wanting my money, if they deliver a great movie, I'll watch it several times. I love Wonder Woman foremost.
