The 74th annual Golden Globes just ended, but not without Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice getting a shout out. Jimmy Fallon hosted the awards this year, and used Ben Affleck's BFF Matt Damon to poke fun at last year's giant DC movie.

"Of course, we all know Matt Damon from his greatest acting role... telling Ben Affleck that he liked Batman v Superman," Fallon joked during his opening monologue. Check it out in the video above.

On the topic of the Golden Globes, Suicide Squad star Viola Davis took home the award for "Best Supporting Actress" for her role in Fences. Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Amy Adams, and Chris Pine were all there tonight as well.

      I'm a BvS defender here, and I thought it was a clever joke.

      I doubt he's super hostile toward the movie; it was just capitalization on a trend.

        Right, that is more grown up. Why don't you start exercising and apply for a professional sports league? Watching athletes doesnt make you one you know.
        That said, BvS was terrible. Not because of the content but in how badly it was cut. Just a mess of a movie. I blame WB.

    It wasn't Batman v Superman related, but Ricky Gervais still has the best Affleck/Damon joke. From last year's Golden Globes: "He's the only person that Ben Affleck hasn’t been unfaithful to. Please welcome Matt Damon!". Even Damon cracked up!

            Read the lead up to "Bruce Wayne: Murderer" for example, or the "Omac Project". He was paranoid, treated his team mates with serious attitude and he ultimately stopped being Batman for 1 year, during the 52 maxi series, to retrain himself, when Morrison took over.

    To all those who still think Gal is not buffed up enough to be Wonder Woman, look at the picture with Chris Hemsworth. She is standing next to THOR (have you seen that guys arms?!) and is almost as big as he is. And Gals entire physical frame in that image looks mighty impressive. Look at her shoulders, waist and arms alone.

    Not right for Wonder Woman my ass.

      Gal is a total babe - tall and statuesque. She even has Scythian looks (owing to her Northern Middle Eastern ancestry) which fits right in with her Amazon character, since Amazons are a Scythian tribe. The nitpicky purists (a la troll pages on FB like Hack Snyder) and their disgruntlement at her lack of blue eyes/Near Eastern Mediterranean looks simply is a reflection of North American WASP-descendants angry at the fact that their comic book characters/JL members are no more vanilla looking white folks as they were drawn in an era where racial diversity and historical/ethnic accuracy was not even a formative thought in society's cultural fabric. Same holds for folks who want Aquaman to be a vanilla Swedish wimpy looking dude with the orange/green costume instead of the Jason Momoa look (which is basically Peter David Aquaman + Samoan motifs).

      I agree she looks amazing as Wonder Woman (just look at the new Justice League photo we got), but don't use images from the Golden Globes as an example. She's 4+ months pregnant...

      She is tall, is what you mean? Because otherwise, nothing really impressive there. Not that she should look like a bodybuilder or anything, my main concern about her is acting and carrying a movie, not her physique, but your comment didn't make much sense.

      it might not deserve the hate but BvS definitely earned its jabs and being at the receiving end of these jokes especially the elements that get frequently ridiculed like Martha, pee jar, Lex etc. Nobody takes jabs at Batman or makes fun about him in the movie because he is awesome. Nobody takes jabs at the action scenes or the visuals (well except Doomsday but that one definitely earned its ire) because they are awesome too. But the parts that are made fun of again and again definitely earned that.

        Couldn't agree more. The Martha bit in particular is so anticlimactic it borders on silly. And I wanted to love this movie.

    Wow, I still can't understand why some people don't like batman vs superman, I guess it's not everyone taste but I surely loved it and that all that matter👍👍👍👍

      True enough.
      To me, well, it was messy (the edit), full of unnecessary footage (mini trailers, dream sequence) that didn't bring anything to the main plot, lazy plot pushers & characterization (Lois being so helpless & behaving stupidly with the lance).
      Honestly, the script could have used a revision or two but I wager WB wanted it out yesterday and it wasn't polished as well as it should have.

    I saw the video before too. His point on editing is spot on, as 99,9% of audiences just have no idea what that is. Even i don´t, because i never edited a video.
    PS: That unfinished DD mini by Kevin Smith looked to be pure garbage from issue 1.
