'Justice League' star Amy Adams to receive star on Hollywood Walk of Fame next week

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced today that award winning actress Amy Adams will be honored with the 2,598th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame on January 11, 2017 at 11:30 a.m. PST.

They might have to rename it to the DC Films Walk of Fame because just today Suicide Squad star Viola Davis was honored with a star. You can watch the full ceremony on YouTube.

Amy Adams will appear as Lois Lane for the third time when Justice League hits theaters this November. She also starred in Man of Steel and Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

She has like 4 oscar nominations under her name... pretty sure that means she isn't underrated.
But I agree though, she's great. And she seems to be a very smart and kind person.

  Oscar nominations are different from mass public perception. This is like telling me that one popular website's opinion of a movie represents that of the entire population of the world.
  I very rarely meet anyone outside of Superman fanatics that have any idea who she is - and even then, plenty of Superman fanatics trash on her undeservedly.
  Just saying. Glad she has those noms though.

    I think underappreciated would be a better term then. I don't think anyone is underrating her skill as an actress.

      I just described that some were indeed trashing her. Further, underrated can encompass underappreciated - they're practically synonyms.
      Any microscopic discrepancy between the two words is not even remotely dramatic enough to argue over. I think the point is pretty obvious, and the other 11 people understood just fine.

If you actually think her work as Lois Lane is amazing, I'd reccomend you watch some real films like Arrival, American Hustle or The Fighter. She'll blow your mind, then!

Still wish they cast someone else as Lois. Amy and Cavill have zero onscreen chemistry that could of course be pointed back to the lackluster writers guild the DCEU has. I always thought Alison Brie would be a great Lois and if Cavill can not hit it off with a girl like that he would have no one to blame but himself lol.

  Even those are borderline un-related but as you said, they were Batman (or Robin) and kinda made sense. But IMO this is just Amy Adams related. No Lois Lane, not an interview from Arrival where she mentions JL... it's just her as her. You'd have to start covering their whole careers, let let us know what other movies they are cast in...
  It's ALMOST like when you announced Gal Gadot's pregnancy but even then that could've meant something being delayed or recasting or who knows what (even though nothing happened). But as The Man in Black says, I'll just skip the click.

    If all Chris did was post news on the Justice League movie and Batman comic books and movies, things would be extremely slow around here.
    This site is still focused on Batman but has now stretched more to the DCEU.

      I think the number of comments may not be at all reflective of the number of views the articles get. I know quite a few people who come here and never look in the comments, and many of the heavily-commented articles get that way because of flame wars that are only tangential to the actual article.

      You aren't an a-hole and I appreciate the feedback! Comments don't necessarily tell the full story about traffic though. This post about Amy Adams did more than double the amount of traffic than some other movie news I posted this week.

      I want to take a moment and say that I completely agree with Mr Nobody and I already thought about commenting on it for several times, but then didn't. But today it feels right to do so at least once.
      It's been a while now I notice more and more Batman unrelated articles making their way on this website, especially when it comes to news that deal with female actors that - in my opinion - might do well to post in order to create clickbait. Be it the aforementioned pregnancy news of Gal Gadot, Margot Robbie in a bathtub, some articles mentioning jewelry or (batman unrelated) dresses someone wears, and so on. I'd have to check the history of articles to point them all out.
      The thing is, due to that I come here much less than I used to in the past, although I appreciate the work the creator of this website does alltogether, and like being able to read RELEVANT news about my favorite DC hero on here.
      Lately, it' seems to me though that the quality of "articles" here has dropped significally and it has become more about creating clickbait due to unconfirmed rumors, or (intentionally) putting too much meaning in simple phrases batman related actors mention somewhere in unrelated interviews without them probably thinking twice about their then made comment because it's nothing but smalltalk.
      And of course it's even much more likely to get many clicks and comments when you can post something ANYHOW related to a fine looking woman who ANYHOW has once made part of a Batman or DC Movie. I understand the website creator wants his page traffic to keep on going or boost it even, but if it's at cost of being able to take it seriously as a visitor who primarily looks for BATMAN news on batman-news.com, then I as a page owner would appreciate batman fans who tell me to maybe reconsider my way of posting articles to create the clicks I hope to get for my page. Even if "sex sells" is the good old guaranteed way of getting people to click my post because they see a nice looking, probably barely dressed woman on a website picture promoting an "article".
      What always amuses and baffles me most, be it here or on other sites, are then those people in the comment sections who tell others to stop visiting the page or not read articles that dare to mention any kind of constructive criticism.
      Although I even did that this time with this article, ergo not read it, and went straight to the comment section to see whether someone would point the very same thing out like Mr Nobody did, I'd like to tell those other "then stop coming here" commentators: Just as you are entitled to your opinion to like these kind of "articles" and discuss them, people who disagree with it are all the same entitled to their opinion and all the same to state that here. Because we like, or liked, to come here, too, if you believe it or not!
      I wonder why so many people seem to always take it personal when someone else has a different opinion to theirs and start to get all protective, defensive, or even personal. Like I didn't like someone just because he/she thinks differently than me and they need to tell me or others to therefore get out of here. That behavior is childishly ridiculous and proves of not much self-confidence or ability to handle simple criticism, in my opinion. Then again, I don't know the age range of most commentators here, but it's not neccessarily a matter of age either.
      Anyway, just my two cents on that "news" development on this website.
      Now the same old people can start again to post their "then stop reading/coming here" comments. Have fun if you feel inclined to do so, but you miss the point and maybe you can just take a second to reflect and realize you contribute to prevent other people from wanting to offer constructive criticism to topics we ALL love and ALL would like to enjoy in our way. That doesn't mean things will change exactly like we want it but we can try.
      But if you think it's either "enjoy it the way it is/ I want it or leave", then it's exactly that weird modern day mindset that proves why democracy is an outdated and obviously dying phenomenon.
      Have a nice batman time everyone and thanks to the website creator for taking his time to run this website to offer us a place to know more about Batman related stuff.

      All I will say is, not "don't come here" but, how about you start a website for diehard Batman fans? All about Batman. No filler, no fluff. If you two hate the content on this site so much, surely there are more people out there who agree? Who would benefit from content created by like(narrow)minded individuals?

      I'd be more inclined to agree with you if this were a print newspaper with a finite "news hole". But it isn't; it's a blog with essentially infinite capacity for content, so it's not like there's an "either-or" where articles like this one are keeping articles about a new artist on Detective from seeing the light of day. So... why is the presence of an article such as this even an issue? I can understand your lack of interest, but not your objection.
      So far as democracy goes, leaving aside the fact that this is Chris's blog, not a crowdsourced project, and he's under no obligation to listen to any suggestions however well-intentioned they may be, I'll point out that, regardless of the contents of the discussion, Chris knows how many hits an article such as this gets, and that's a better indicator of the interests of the site's visitors (voting with their feet, as it were) than whatever may be said in the comments.

This site is for all things Batman and DC, Adams is apart of the DCEU and getting a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame is a big deal for actors and news. It may not be news you want to read, if so don't click on it like you said you would do from now on, but it is news.
I know you're probably coming from a good place mate but this guy does this website for a hobby, we're lucky we even have a website to come to. You can say what you want of course and I know you will, and in the end I don't really care I'll probably forget about your comment in a day or two and forget your username in a few days, actually I probably won't even remember you tomorrow.
