'Mad Max: Fury Road' stunt team to work on 'Aquaman' in Australia

Aquaman begins shooting on the Gold Coast in Australia early next year, and the stuntmen are already training so that they're ready for whatever director James Wan throws their way.

"General stunt skills, fighting, if there is water sequences obviously being capable and competent in water," stunt director Keir Beck told 9News about their preparation. He and his team also worked on Mad Max: Fury Road.

The video piece above shows the stuntmen practicing a scene from another movie, not Aquaman. Still, those skills should carry over seamlessly for the action in Aquaman as well. Screenwriter Will Beall has stated in an interview that some of the best stunts take place on land, out of the water.

      Not really. It's really reaching. It would've been better if it was a Kirk Cameron joke because his Santa did kill or at least beat up people. Also, Santa murdering people has already been done in movies.

      All kidding aside, it wasn't a bad joke. You gotta learn to laugh it off, especially since DC has been killing it with the quality of their comic books (though Batman's been suffering as hell lately), while Marvel's comic book quality has dipped into oblivion.

      It's not the same joke, though. Martha's scene has been the butt of jokes, not Snyder himself as much. You are acting like they are making the same joke, but that's false, they simply are doing a joke where the subject is DC related. Frankly, I thought they'd be making fun of Jared Leto's Joker or Suicide Squad a lot more by now!

      And why not? It's not like it was offensive or in poor taste anyways, and why do you feel such an impulsive need to defend these products, especially from stuff like this? An innocent crack, at most. Things like RDJ getting upset at The Dark Knight for being more successful than Iron Man and then saying "Fuck DC" or Momoa writing "Fuck Marvel" are genuinely upsetting in a way, but not that terrible either. This? It's just for laughs, dude. It's a deadpool comic book, part of it, so it's not that bad... Deadpool has been making fun of his first live action appearance for a years as well, and has made some good publicity for Batman as well.

      I'd say he killed him, unintentionally... It doesn't really count, like you said, and like I said. It's just something that was an absolute necessity, and wasn't even what Batman wanted, but happened due to circumstances out of his control. If it were Snyder's Batman, he'd have broken Dent's neck in 3 different places, ripped his head clean, and handed the head to the kid, with the kid smiling and saying thank you, most likely.

    Batman basically killed in this week´s All Star Batman No.5, by Scott Snyder. Not that KGBeast will likely die from his Bat inflicted cliff dive, but still.
    It´s the 3rd time Snyder did it and Dr. Death even fully died. N52 Batman has canonical blood on his hands. He also crippled a few people, and a celebratory Tec issue -a remake of Tec 27- included another death by him, where the victim (Joker?) survived his chemical bath after the fact. Futures End Batman, the one in the current Beyond book, also decided to execute the Joker during the current Rebirth run, yet he survived that one too, kinda. These should be all "canon" post 2011 Mortal Kombats of Bruce. Unless you want to count the Talon and Parademons he offed too.
    Edit: The Beyond Rebirth Joker ended up dying, as this week´s No.3 revealed. That Batman fully iced him!

      Never forget, in Batman the Animated Series when Batman strapped Mr. Freeze to an armed Atomic Freeze Bomb and dropped it into Gotham Bay, knowing full well the thing was about to blow up. Of course Freeze survived because it's a kid's show, but still.

    That Batman didn't kill in Nolan's movies? Should take a look at them. He made a temple explode with a lot of ninjas inside (after saying he wouldn't kill), he let R'as die, he made cars flipped, he rammed cars, shot cars, led missiles to a tumbler, shot the driver of Talia's truck, made Talia fall to her death, and that's the only ones that come through my head now.
    Oh, and next time you want to critisize Batfleck for that, pay attention first to the movie and see that he only shoots TWICE and because he is shot at first.
    And he returns to his code after being inspire by Superman's death.
    Seriously, pay attention to the movie before you start saying things about it

      after all that long post you should realize that it can be clearly used to describe Batfleck too. In which apart from the knghtmare that he directly kills?
      Go and watch the movie again and see how he shoots TWICE to bad guys, once from the batmbile and another from the batwing. Look how he responds fire and doesn't shoot first.
      AND pay attention and watch how he NEVER directly shoots anyone.
      And the people who died on those scenes did because they didn't stop shooting and escaped when they had the opportunity. And well that would be only the ones outside the warehouse, because the ones on tje car died because theu didn, t stop the car and caused it to flip and explode. Batman didn't kill them directly, he just didn't give a damn if they were hurt because as we know from the movie he was more "cruel".
      And regarding the people who died during the warehouse, two did because one was stupid enough to not toss away the grenade and KGBeast got fried because the moron tried to fry ma Kent after the cannister was shot. As in the Dark Kinght with Two-Face, Batman just went for the one worth saving.
      As you can see the same logic applies for both Batmen. That you don't eant to see it is just hypocrisy

      By your logic, Nolan's also kill by proxy. He didn't shoot directly, but people were blown up. And yeah you say that those people lived, but is quite ambiguous.
      And in the end, as you say, it's just that you think it's quite direct, but I don't think it is and in the movie there is considerable proof for that. However, I totally agree on that we will see a redeemed Batman after being inspire by Superman and Affleck's film can be great. And don't worry, it was quite obvious at the end of the movie that they will refrain him, and yeah, I didn't see him as breaking his rule, just being very tired and hopeless, but he came back at then (and being honest here I really liked his period of "beast unchained").
      And I saw different gadgets there, only different: he uses a harpoon to drag a car, the drone mode, etc. Let's be honest, all the batmobile chases have been different, as it should always be.
      And for theblast point, c'mon I know you can be reasonable. Every Batmobile in history has got machine guns among another weapons. Every one of them. The difference between how Nolan's presented it and Snyder's is that the former was at the beginning of his career and the latter almost at his end, nearly falling into the dark side. Every Batman has used those weapons against other vehicles, never against people (well Burton's did).
      And as you say, if Batfleck's really a murderer, why doesn't he carry lethal eeapons with him? Why didn't he kill everyone on the warehouse? (funny fact: one of my friends who went with me to see this movie at the cinema and know nothing of these characters just asked why Batman wasn't killing everyone in the fight :p)
      Yes Batfleck bent that rule, but in the end he redeemed himself

      Again, he didn't shot straight to the people, and again, Nolan's fired EXPLOSIVES DELIBERATELY towards other vehicles too. It's all 100% the same.
      And really, go watch the movie again. Only shooting? Straight lines? Yeah sure. And make sure you also watch the documentary about the batmobile so that you can see all the stunt driving there were there

      Everything you say that happens in Nolan's also happened in BvS (flips, gadgetry etc). Dude watch the movie and the documentary, it's all there.
      And the story was aiding that too. He was investigating the White Portuguese for a good chunk of the movie. He finally discovered what it was and what it carried, of course he was going to get it. Planting a tracking device in case the truck went away is typical Batman, who always has a contingency plan, and it kinda was useful in retrospect, right?
      Superman was there to stop Batman, maybe he even didn't know what was happening because by the time he stops the batmobile, Batman was further from them after being stuck under the boat

      Your first paragraph is just you saying that you prefer one scene more than other. Okay, of course that scene was better. heck I even prefer the Batman Begins' chase before the TDK's one. But one thing doesn't negate the other. The BvS chase was well crafted too, independently that you like it more or less. They used props, gadgets and different levels too.
      The chase was plan A because he wanted the kryptonite ASAP, so the tracker was a clever contingency plan, which as we could see, it was useful after that. That he almost knocked it off just shows us that the chase was on several leves too, huh?
      The chase also fulfilled its role quite right in the movie too. It showed as this Batman goes full head on when he has his sights on a target, and also, as you said, to bring Superman face to face with Batman, soooo it seems it served to the story isn't it?
      Yes, surely Superman was attracted from all that, but he saw Batman as the greatest menace because, as he was tricked by Luthor, Superman thought that Batman was just a deranged dictator who got people dead because vigilantism. Why did he flew off after that not going against the others? As I said, they were just not there anymore. But this is just nitpicking, and if you do that you can find things like that in any movie. For example: why didn't Batman go back to Wayne's penthouse after saving Rachel? He stopped there instead of going back and aprehend the Joker. But this nitpick isn't even mine, it was from other people nitpicking TDK. I don't care, as both scenes served their porpuses in the movie, and I liked both scenes

      Regarding your first paragraph, let's be honest, Nolan's a better director than Snyder, of course his chases were more grandiouse! However I still say I liked what Snyder did, so we'll have to agree to disagree here.
      About the brand, I always saw it a mix between torturing the bad guys (remember this Batman was more cruel as Alfred pointed out) and to warn them to not do anything bad ever again. He was borderline crossing over the edge, so either he just didn't give a damn (honestly that happens in any prison and I don't think the people in charge of getting people in prison are going to worry about that, it's not their problem once they are in the institution) or he didn't knew. Remember everything was orchestrated by Luthor to trick Superman. Anyway, as we saw at the end of the movie, he didn't brand Luthor, so expect him to drop the gadget in the next movie.
      About your last part in the second paragraph, well another scenario where we will have to agree to disagree. it's true that aesthetics are the best part fom Snyder, but I don't think he sacrificed characterizations and storytelling, at least not in the UC, and we know it was WB the ones who wanted the movie cut shorter.
      You hate to hate the guy, so that mean you like him once, or like things from him. Let me remind you that before the BvS "debacle", he wasn't as polarizing as he is seen now. Dawn of the Dead is still considered one of the best remakes ever made, 300 was massively popular and Watchmen gained a cult status, and it was praised for the difficuty of having the movie made (almost everybody praised Snyder fo this). Sucker Punch was bad, that I admit.
      Back in the day even MoS wasn't so polarizing. I saw magazines and sites giving it good reviews although now they seem like they hate anything DC related!
      Let's just hope people give JL an opportunity and don't go along whatever the media is going to say. Being objective, we know almost every site has a grudge against him, and I doubt we will see real objective reviews once the movie is out

      hmm fair points. Two things:
      I liked the change of Watchmen ending. Obviously the film wasn't only for the fans of the graphic novel, and I think that helped the GA to get the ending. The alien thing would have been too much "out there", if you know what I mean. In general, I liked the final result of the movie, it was a hard task to undertake and I think he did well. It's true that the part of NY inhabitants was only hinted that, but I think the main characters were well developed and all of them had their moments to shine (Roscharch being the best for me).
      And second, because I liked Watchmen since the first time I saw it in cinemas, I always wondered how a Batman movie would be under Snyder. In the end he did it and I wasn't disappointed. I do believe he did great with the character. Yes the darkness is there, obviously, but the "wryly cool" is there also: his forth-and-back rants with Alfred, his playboy persona chasing after women, the paranoia, a little bit of detective doings (albeit not much as it always happens -.-), and don't forget about the fights (that was Arkhamverse channeled to live action in all its glory), and last but not least, the batsuit was spot on! (kudos to the custom department).
      The way you speak about Snyder, should relax and just wait for the Justice League movie. Everything points to Snyder being "reined in". For all the hate people have nowdays against him, I think we should admit his style is great for comicbooks, and with Goyer out of the equation, w could have a really good film JL.
      We will just have to wait until the release.

Only thing worrying me right now about this movie is the screenwriter. Has nothing to his name besides writing the 2017 TV show follow up to Training Day (shitty idea, but still unreleased), 5 episodes of Castle, and will write the Legend of Conan film with some more guys... Story is from Wan and Geoff Johns, so the ideas and story itself may be fucking awesome, but a bad screenplay can screw that all up.
C'mon Wan, you're basically our only hope.
