on The Flash's cameo in 'Suicide Squad' is officially online

Despite being spoiled by Warner Bros. a few days before Suicide Squad hit theaters, one of the coolest moments of the movie was the "surprise" cameo by Erza Miller as The Flash. He shows up for a few seconds as we're introduced to Captain Boomerang, and takes out the villain with ease.

Now you can watch that cameo again online, thanks to the latest episode of #Squadtroductions, which takes a look each Suicide Squad member leading up to the Digital HD release next week on November 15th. Check it out in the video above, and stay tuned for a really cool Batman News partnership regarding the Digital HD release of Suicide Squad soon!

Fun fact: Ezra Miller's cameo as The Flash in Suicide Squad was actually shot on the set of Justice League, and directed by Zack Snyder!

What the hell just happened? The United States presidential result has absolutely nothing to do with the Flash's Suicide Squad appearance.

This entire website is dedicated to something so completely unpolitical. It's supposed to be for fans of Batman and all of the related fictional characters we love.

This is a very unfortunate outcome for this website.

It will end soon enough, i have nothing more to say anymore for example, and the internet is the most political place there is. The US lastly survived a civil war, it will also survive 4-8 years of him.
No riots happened too. It´s the little things and we are also the Trump of movies:

Bats is a close second, but only recently since I started reading Flash comics again. That might change when I get into the new All-Star Batman run. Hearing good things.

The only thing I didn't love (from the initial skim) is the way Romita Jr's drawn Batman. I get what they're going for, but he just looks odd in some panels.

Yeah at first I thought the same, but it was more due to my missing Capullo than not liking Romita. Now I'm fine with that

I love Romita, I just find the cosplay anatomy to be an interesting choice. I read they were trying to humanise him a little more so I suppose there's that.

As much as I absolutely love Chasing Amy, and enjoy some of his other movies, he really has no business directing a big super hero movie, especially with all the crap he's been making since 2006, arguably his last enjoyable movie (Clerks II)

    1. OGmacrazy Avatar
      OGmacrazy

Oh sure, his flash episode was great. But a whole movie?
Directing a tv show (a cw one, mind you) that you are not the showrunner of is not nearly as grueling as directing a 200M dollar production. He has zero experience with it, and we've seen what he makes when people give him any kind of moderate budget (Cop Out).

      1. OGmacrazy Avatar
        OGmacrazy

Or, you know, get a director with actual experience and with a legit resume?

        1. OGmacrazy Avatar
          OGmacrazy

Because I don't want a director whose confort zone is in swear filled movies with little to no effects?
I'm sorry, and I love the dude, but no. He'd be the worst possible choice. The studio would have to make most of the movie, losing any identity and probably being another BvS/Suicide Squad fiasco, only worse. Sorry for not agreeing with your opinion, but damn. That mind's closed as fuck, my man.

    2. residentgrigo Avatar
      residentgrigo

1 was shown and it was good, but any run of the mill director could have done it, as it was just like the rest of the season order for Flash 02. It´s the Thor writer who you need to thank there but Smith doing guided tv jobs is the best possible outcome for all.
He also has no idea or experience how to direct effects films or big budget films.
He went over that on Fatman on Batman multiple times. The CW is THE place for him though.

you mean that terrible show that looks like bad fan fiction and bad cosplay? the only comic book based live action show that has not been mediocre in all the history of the comic book tv shows has been Daredevil, all the others are shit with little good stuff in it, also they are all smallville clones, already a terrible show, and all have stupid teengaers helping the hero (????)

Was it actually confirmed that Flash would get a suit upgrade/different suit? People seem to wholeheartedly believe that as a fact, but I don't recal it ever being confirmed. The initial set reports stated that the suit (that we see in the JL trailer and in SS) is comprised of something similar to space shuttle tiles/materials and other materials taken from Wayne Tech. I think this is where people are mistaken as it seems like Wayne supplied the materials, however it was implied that Barry went out and stole materials from various sources to use. Does anyone have a link to point me to that actually confirms a second suit (that isn't just speculation or rumor) and from a verified source? Thanks!

    1. residentgrigo Avatar
      residentgrigo

"That sci-fi/fantasy sensibility is present in many of the costume designs. The Flash’s suit is a prototype — and he apparently winds up in a more finished costume later — assembled from stolen tech, including from Bruce Wayne’s company. The idea is that Flash isn’t just moving fast, he’s moving through time and space in a way that exposes him to energies and subatomic particles. So, the costume includes little flaps like on an airplane for slowing and turning, swooping shapes to direct wind and particles away from his body, and coils to absorb and direct energy generated by his speed. It’s a beautifully strange design, and was probably the costume I’m most impressed with so far."

i hope so, the suit is good but it has too many details, which seems to be a problem in all comic book movies, more complex is not always better

I don't think they're correcting the source material, but it's definitely putting their own spin on it (just like every subsequent writer of the books does). In this world he's at least semi-mythical (witness the "I didn't think you were real" comment in the JL teaser) and so there has been no convenient "I'm Batman" given to the press to use. In one of the General Mills cereal box comics it's actually addressed with the idea that it's beneficial to him that the criminals don't know whether he's a man or creature. I also remain convinced that Perry's mention of "the Bat man" was using "bat" as an adjective, and not as part of the proper noun "Batman".

      2. jrvc Avatar
        jrvc

For me it was cool as in, people who don't know it treats him like it was this sort of urban legend. Something that comics usually tends to from time to time even today.

It's like in the dark knight trilogy, everyone calls him THE bat-man until the end when Gordon finally says "Batman" only

Yeah, I've got the same issue. My local online-retailer has a steelbook on their website but its not the Extended Version.

I had to ask them if the BvS steelbook on their site was the Ultimate Cut, the last time, because it wasn't described as such. They only updated it after my inquiry.

Anyone noticed that Flash's suit in this cameo is the updated version (Wayne's updates).
If this cameo happens at the beginning of the movie as a flashback, that means it happened b4 justice league, so Flash haven't met Bruce yet.

Or maybe, the beginning of JL happens before SS, then SS happens then JL continues.

Maybe I'm overthinking here a lil bit :)

In that trailer he was in a middle of a fight. So I assumed it is after he met Bruce as he was evading a laser beam.

To all of you who want to keep the Trump conversation "going" (it arguably derailed the thread), do it with the comic writers who now all have an opinion: http://www.bleedingcool.com...
