'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life' trailer includes a 'Batman v Superman' joke

Netflix is bringing back Gilmore Girls for a four part mini-series titled Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, and the first trailer was released today. Several Batman News readers brought to my attention a Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice joke at the 23 second mark.

"There's a debate going on whether or not to take the phone booth out," Lauren Graham's character said. "But where would Superman change when he comes to save the town from Ben Affleck?," Alexis Bledel replied.

Ha.

Warner Bros. produces Gilmore Girls, so the small Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice reference isn't too surprising. And it's way more subtle than this cringeworthy Marvel cross-promotion on the Disney owned show General Hospital (via Superhero News):

It's not really a stab at BvS though. It was pretty funny. They're talking about the town wanting to get rid of the phonebooth and the daughter asks : Where will Superman change to protect us from Ben Affleck?". Or something in that line. Even they acknowledge Ben Affleck is Batman. :p

It was stupid. Just like all the humor from that series. And how was it not a stab at BvS?!?!?! Its a stab at how violent Batman was in the film. JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE.

    I really would love to cover ANY AND ALL things Batman, it's just hard because I have a full time job :\ The site is still a hobby, but one that I love and obsess over with every minute of my free time. I just had a little extra free time today, as you can tell ;)

Slow news day, plus it's a popular show so I was trying to cater to those fans too. Batman News is a big, mainstream site now that's read by way more than just hardcore DC fans.
