Ben Affleck tells funny story about his son's favorite superhero, and it's not Batman

E! caught up with Ben Affleck on the red carpet at the premiere of his new movie The Accountant this week. It's the Halloween season, so he was asked if he was trying to persuade his kids to wear Batman costumes this year. Affleck laughed and then revealed his son's favorite superhero. Spoiler alert... it's not Batman!

"My son told a friend of his when he asked 'who's your favorite superhero?' and he said his favorite superhero was Flash," Affleck explained. "And he goes 'what about Batman?' and he said 'Batman's just my dad'".

That's pretty funny. Affleck's son, Samuel, is just 4 years old. I think in a few years he'll realize just how cool it is to have Batman for a dad!

Hopefully Affleck shared this story with the Flash himself, Ezra Miller. It seems like there are going to be a lot more Flash fans after Justice League hits theaters next year.

When I was a kid, I didn't like Batman very much. Superman was my favorite because of the Superman TAS and Smallville (I was too young to watch Batman TAS). I understood know how cool batman was after Justice league unlimited. Now I'm a die hard batman fan

I mean damn, that shot of Flash backing away is so awesome and it's going to look even better in the finished film. Not to forget him actually running and fighting biblical amounts of Parademons! god so excited about this film!!!

My favorite superheroes are Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman and Green Lantern. I do hope we get to see Green Lantern in Justice League!!! ☹

It's great that the kid likes Flash, because I think he's a bit too young to read batman comics just yet. The overall theme of Batman is quite dark and violent...maybe give it a few years before he can appreciate Batman's awesomeness

  There are plenty of genuinely great Batman comics for all ages, though: anything related to pretty much any animated series, Batman '66 and Li'l Gotham to name a few. I understand the spirit of what you're saying, but there's still plenty of great Batman stuff for any and all ages.

    I know where you're getting at. Generally the silver age comics were all light hearted and kid-friendly, but I think the greatest Batman stories are still the darkest ones. Anyway I was leaning more toward the comics side, as for animated series, it's fair game.

      Fair enough. There are good dark stories; there are bad dark stories; there are good light stories; there are bad light stories. Tone is not indicative of quality, but we all have our personal tastes.

My top 3 superheroes: Batman (the Dick version should have lasted longer as i may prefer Nightwing), Punisher and Daredevil. They are all shades of the same character, hm. And only 1 has powers, kinda.
My first one was Spider-man, i was about 6 when i got introduced to him. 8 for Batman.

Ezra Miller's Flash is pretty awesome. I'm a Batfan through and through, but, from what I've seen so far, Flash is my favorite character from the JL's film.
