on Kent Farmhouse from 'Batman v Superman' has been destroyed

The Kent Farmhouse, home of MARTHA!, Jonathan, and Clark Kent, was destroyed this past weekend, according to a report from Superman Homepage. The house was located in Yorkville, Illinois and was used in Man of Steel, and then rebuilt for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Superman Homepage's source sent in the photo below of the demolished house, which apparently is being monitored by security 24/7.

Does this mean the destruction is actually part of Justice League? Or are they just getting around to tearing it down now? We don't have the answers yet, but let me know what you think in the comments below

    Security = Justice League set. I've been around stadiums and arenas being demolished and there's no security trying to "secure" anything. This has me super excited...who destroyed it??

      That toon was such a mess. The original story is hardly better too. Thank Zod that Kara got borderline rebooted only a few years later by Sterling Gates. This version of "Doomsday" and Darkseid were nonsense too.

    From reading the comments on the source site, they've torn it down and rebuilt it before. Maybe they planned to use it for Justice League and didn't. I'd suggest a second unit was there to film the destruction, but supposedly Zack doesn't like to use second units ( although with principal filming in London I could see him using one for this). But I think the actual truth is that I have no idea and am just writing this because I'm troubled that there may not be enough words on the internet.

    The security seems like a dumb idea. What exactly are they supposed to be protecting? Maybe actors in the house? They certainly couldn't have protected themselves from being seen, so some part of the company has to accept the idea that rumors would spread about what they're doing. Maybe they just don't care about rumors--they probably make the movie seem more mysterious and promising, while also expanding the audience to people who frequent news outlets like this one, but who might have not been interested in the upcoming movie.

    I'm just interested to see their response, or lack thereof.

    "Please remember that the Kent Farmhouse was demolished after filming MOS (while sequel production was underway even prior to the premiere) and rebuilt for BvS in Jan 2014.
    Set / Prop houses are almost never kept up are kept up because they're not built to code as a dwelling / usable structure and create tons of liabilities to keep up between films (trespassers getting injured, security to keep people out, taxes, anti-vandalism, illegal usage, maintaining condition, etc) when they can literally be rebuilt in a few days.Tearing down a set is routine and par for the course, not an indication of story content.
    Keeping up a plywood movie-set house is an attractive nuisance and begging some fans to get hurt and sue Warner Brothers."

    I have a feeling that this scene is where Clark Kent truly becomes Superman to the audience. Don't know why. Just have a feeling. Snyder is really into symbolism, maybe even a little too much that he forgets about telling a story at times. But with Johns and Affleck making sure he does that, I'm not concerned about JL. However, because he loves Symbolism, The Kent Farm is the representation of Clark's childhood and the man of steel's humble beginnings. Now, the place in this scene will represent the beginning of Superman.
