Even though Superman "died" in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Warner Bros. and Henry Cavill haven't hid the fact that he'll be back for Justice League. Cavill's latest Instagram post adds to that, but this time the Superman tease was for a good cause!

Last week, Henry Cavill showed that he's a real life superhero by dressing up as Superman for two kids from the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

"I had the good fortune of meeting some real Superheroes last week. Orin, your strength is exceptional and Summer your support is a rock that is irreplaceable. You are both inspirations to us all!," he wrote on Instagram.

The actor is posing on what could be the Warner Bros. studios set in London, complete with cardboard cutouts of the rest of his Justice League teammates.

Earlier this summer Cavill has teased what fans assume to be a black Superman suit, but as we saw in the official Justice League group shot, he'll be sporting his classic costume too.

            Was it really trunks tho? I always thought that it was just a colored part of the one-piece suit, which made it look like trunks. Or that belt was not really a belt.

          The trunks look way too silly, they worked for the Reeves-verse fine considering the time and the tone, but they'd look ridiculous in the Snyderverse lol.

            Thank you J-dog, we totally see eye to eye and I love it! How wild is it that some people think Superman wearing his underwear on the OUTSIDE of his outfit isn't the silliest thing ever?!! I mean the blue onesie is one thing since that's what Kryptonians wore, but no Kryptonian in their right mind would put their nut huggers on the OUTSIDE of their chainmail! People get arrested for much less than that here on Earth haha!

            I can't tell if your being sarcastic or not, cause if you are being sarcastic what your saying is basically, "aliens can where onesie, but if they wore their underwear on the outside, then I just can't whole heartedly believe in this world full of superpowered aliens who happen to look a lot like humans fighting over earth, one of whom is wearing a capes." I mean if you're talking about realism and necessity, then why does he have a cape? that's easily something that could be used against him and has no function what so ever and would be just a big target and something that could easily blind him

            I am being sarcastic. The reality is that underwear on the outside looks stupid and ridiculous (b/c it's underwear on the outside...), as the Kryptonian Knight states below, the Strong Man inspiration is why undies were incorporated from the get-go, and while I love the historical significance and can appreciate tradition, you have to evolve with the times. We've seen this evolution with every comic book movie franchise, and it's necessary to get rid of the banana hammock BECAUSE IT LOOKS SO STUPID IN SNYDERVERSE lol. I'm not saying you shouldn't like it, I'm just saying it doesn't fit the DCEU. I'm talking about altering ONE aspect of the outfit, not changing it altogether. Keep the blue onesie, red cap, S on chest, hell add some red trim which "Legendinmymind" tossed out as an option which seems really cool actually...but the boxer briefs on the outside are stupid and aren't iconic enough to keep imo as opposed to the S shield and the cape which you obviously have to have lol.

            "LOOKS SO STUPID IN SNYDERVERSE" its that reason which is why a lot of people really don't like these movies. He made a movie universe that got its head too far up its own ass, it can't even show the heroes the way they wear meant to be shown without it, "not working". At this rate he's just going to be wearing jeans and a blue t-shirt and people are going to be defending it by pointing out there were a feew comics where he wore that, or that its more grounded and believable. However the the red trim idea doesn't seem like it'd work as well, it would definitely be better, but if your curios they did do it in the new 52 comics, you know those things that you probably don't read. anyways, I think I'm done arguing why capes and blue onesies with giant letters on them are just silly as underwear on the outside.

            The Snyderverse is the DCEU now, so regardless of your problems with it...too bad, it is what it is, and this universe has no place for underwear on the outside of the costume b/c that would be idiotic and ridiculous in the DCEU lol but regardless, WB would have gone with the red boxers if they thought people wanted it, and the fact that they did not proves that they found nobody who wanted to see undies, thongs, panties or g-strings on their Superman...for obvious reasons which I'm sure you can agree.

Once again if this was flipped and WB said in JL he was getting trunks, you'd be losing it. As for the whole "thongs, panties or g-strings on their Superman" thing I don't even know where that came from, cause if you think thats what superman's wearing , then clearly you have never seen panties or thongs before....you know what that actually sounds about right. And the part about me "apparently have no originality or creativity" seemed really random along with the whole superman bean basket thing, just seems like you thought of some mediocre insults 10 min after you sent the first message and decided just to send a second one so you could seem funny by talking about superman dick. really sad.

            And no, most people are not as obsessed with Supermans jock strap as you are apparently. And from your comments and unrelenting need to see Supes bean basket, I already realize that you apparently have no originality or creativity (which saddens me, I hope I'm wrong) and that you can't possibly imagine a newly designed suit with red trim that is different than New 52, although disappointed I probably shouldn't be at this point lol.

            Yes, it's so dumb and silly looking a guy wearing that could never have any hope of becoming a cultural icon spanning the last 79 years. Yeah, what are these silly people thinking. A guy wearing red trunks and a belt? Who would ever pay to see that? Seriously, it's a good thing you're here to let us know how big of a failure it would be. They almost made a huge mistake. Red trunks, lol, a character wearing blue tights a silly S and red trunks won't last 5 minutes. There is not a single person who would ever pay anything to see that.
            just cuz it's the internet i feel obligated to mention there is a thing called "sarcasm" in our culture.

            You gotta have the onesie b/c it's the whole outfit and imo nothing looks silly about the traditional Superman look until I see him wearing his underwear outside of his pants...there's literally no functionality for that which is why it doesn't fit the Snyderverse. But I like your idea of adding some red trim around the waste area, personally that sounds cool to me as a compromise and I'd genuinely like to see a red accent around the belt area to "break up the monotony" as you put it, that actually makes a lotta sense.

            We need only notice that the cape is red and takes up the same area of his body despite not hugging to it at all points. The monotony is broken simply by acknowledging the full costume instead of just the spandex part.

            We can also consider the decorative lines and faux-belt a break-up of the blue.

        Two reasons. One exposing the trunks in an alien suit was hard, the trunks harkened to an era not many associate with anymore.

I'm not denying any historical/cultural significance, nor do I dislike them, it's just that in actuality, the briefs (and really superhero costumes in general) can be seen as pretty silly from practical standpoint. That's it. So yes, all those well-regarded Supermen are wearing red spanks over a onesie and that's perfectly fine

        sorry mate but the bright red trunks/spanks had to go... same as the colour of the suit!!! Superman had to be brought into the 21st century!! thats why Brandon Rouths superman just didnt work!! Henry Cavill is my favourite superman now, i loved christopher Reeve back then because he suited his time!!! and it doesnt take away from his heritage, the only heritage really is the iconic S and Red and Blue suit..... the rest is debatable!! he is from Krypton and so is his suit!!!!

        Honestly, I thought it always looked silly as all hell. I can understand the nostalgia and appreciate that it's part of Superman's original/traditional suit, but doesn't mean I want to CONTINUE seeing it, especially in the Snyder-verse where it has no place to be considering the tone and the world they've developed imo.

          I hear ya, like I said above I think there's a better middle ground where they can break up the solid blue with some red accents/trim around the waist area, in fact that could have been really cool if the red trim was some stylish Kryptonian design that flowed well with the suit, maybe they'll incorporate something like that later on. Ya think they're going with the black Supes suit in JL?? If they do, I'm curious how non-comic book movie goers (the majority of movie goers) are going to react to that lol it's a risk but could be amazing!

        most of them probably weren't even comic fans, they probably just got into comics after dark knight, watchmen,or maybe the arkham games. Comic culture really changed into people wanting realism, realism from a medium built on escapism.

      I never realized until this picture just how low on Cavill's body the "belt" sits. Short of moving the buckle up to just below the 6 pack if they were to put the trunks on this suit they'd be smaller than the ones they put on Routh. He'd basically be wearing a superthong.

      Compared to his suit in MoS and BvS, it looks like they added a lot of muscle detail to it. His abs stand out a lot and he also looks more "shredded" in this suit. I dig it, it looks great but also very alien.

        They seem to be goings backwards a bit. The Man of Steel suit and the
        Batman v Superman Batman costume were incredible!!! Superman's suit
        keeps getting worse. Why does Cavill need fake muscles? The guy is
        ripped and a good guy by all accounts....

      That's because it is. And why would you put underwear over a onesie? The truth is that fashion is a representation of the times. The underwear Superman wore was symbolic of the strong men era. When people saw the strong men underwear it was an artistic expression that Superman was really powerful! That was the reason behind the design. In today's fashion wearing a pair of underwear over tights doesn't represent a strong man, it represents a fashion faux pas. It's just very dumb looking and non-sensical. But it looks like when it comes to costumes your opinions are just that since across the board Batman's BvS costume has also received the most praise and wins every poll I've seen.

        As usual you missed the point. The purpose of his underwear was a fashion statement at the time, representing a symbol of strength. Today wearing underwear over let's say Under Armor leggins would be extremely stupid, it would make no sense because it would not represent strength in today's society but straight hilarity instead. For example the cape is part of Kryptonian fashion as it was explained in MOS. and if you don't think superheroes set fashion trends why are superhero tee shirts, pajamas, underwear, ties, socks... a staple of fashion across the globe? But being in the minority that you are in you just don't get what the rest of the majority does.

          all the excuses people are making for capes could be applied to the underwear. They could easily say it's "is part of Kryptonian fashion". And capes aren't exactly symbol of strength in todays society either. If anything, while admittedly silly, underwear on the outside is still thought of as a strong man thing, because you know a certain group of people have been wearing them for the past 80 years, you know superheroes.

            I think a LOT of people were really excited about the look of the BVS bat suit and I'm seeing mostly people like the old suit better than the JL suit. At least the Frank Miller fans got to see (a similar version) of this Batman. Moving forward I understand going with the classic look. It also speaks to his evolution as a character becoming less like the Miller batman in the future

          the great underwear over the costume debate. Calling them trunks def makes it sound better. I could go either way, I'm all for comic accuracy, but also enjoy innovation, and evolution. Casual fans still think underwear over the costume looks silly, and I can't say I really blame them.

            I love the yellow oval from Batman the Animated Series and TDKR. I think it's cool how in both TAS and TDKR they start with the Blue/grey/yellow oval then move to the grey and black with the big bat later on.

          You have a point but I think Millers Batman's suit was all cloth it was just the seasoned Bruce Wayne and his body was what fit the suit

            Afleck does a good job of carrying himself really bulky in the movie, and the suit obviously adds a lot but it's still supposed to be more natural and cloth like not armoured at least. I like how the suit just adds to the aesthetic where you aren't going to put prosthetics on Ben when he's playing Wayne.

        I agree that the suit didn't look fitting in all it's areas, but I favor its design over the JL Batsuit. It looked organic, which I prefer. Though I thought the cowl was fine, I liked it's bulkiness.

          It looks menacing without a doubt but just the cowl was bulky around the neck area as in JL it's more slimmer and more sharp, it has that little Nolan slim version cowl.

      You know that the one in the display above is the BvS batsuit right? you can tell from the absence of the rectangles on the abs and the design of the gauntlets. And I don't know about you, but it looks awesome on that display. Even if it looked kinda off in the movie.

      What suit are you referring to? I know he has a Tactical suit which I'm assuming is used in maybe one scene like the Armoured suit in BvS.
      But the regular BvS suit and the one in this image looking pretty much the same

        They are the same from what I can tell. But I was referring to the regular suit (I'm ok with the tactical suit, except for the shape of the googles). But the regular one, I think, is inferior in some aspects to the BvS Batsuit.

          I actually never noticed the difference at least in the trailer. I like the neck better in the JL suit but prefer the BvS suit overall. Also wish it kept the grey/black but I still really like the JL suit

            I also liked the neck better on the JL in this pic, but to me in the footage from CC it looked kinda bad. I hope it's because the film is still in early production but the scene where he drops the suit looks really out of place and weird. One thing that also worried me was the fact that in the last scene from the footage where he talks to cyborg he didn't move his neck when he looked away, it looked bad and gave me batman begins vibes. I really hope he can still turn his neck. Also I think the new ears look terrible in side view.

            I actually much prefer the new suit over the BvS suit. The gray could be lightened up but it's still gray, and because the neck is thinner it actually makes Affleck's shoulders look MUCH broader, wheras with the thicker neck the shoulder and collarbone region looks much droopier, although there is probably a better word for it.

            The ears on the cowl are also more streamlined than they were on the BvS suit, though admittedly that design feature, along with the goggles, actually makes him look more like Night Owl on the tactical suit than he would have had they not changed the ears.

            It's also subtle but if you look carefully they changed the shape of the mouth hole on the cowl as well. If you look at the lines on either side of the nose on the BvS suit they curve slightly up creating two curved lines meeting at a point. on the JL suit the lines are much more angular which, combined with a more exaggerated scowl, makes him look more fearsome.

            The only thing that the BvS suit has over the JL suit in my opinion is the color scheme. While I don't have much of a problem with the darker gray in this picture on film it'll likely look much closer to the full black suits of old.

            I love the BvS colour scheme but totally agree that the new suit looks better overall. The more I look at the new suit the more I like it and I recently seen a photoshop of the Tactical suit with goggles and it looks really cool.

      Most remember the Reeve films wrongly (and only I + II) but Cavill´s journey has to be payed off at some point. 3 films in sounds about right. He went though enough shit (in all sorts of ways) to be elevated to something greater. The films also pay many homages to the past and deserve their place in the DC pop culture legacy. Reeve´s wasn´t the first either and Cavill won´t be the last.

          Watch the opening act of the first film. He spends a decade inside the Fortress of Solitude watching holo-videos. WTF? His father dies and teaches him an important life lesson, yet he then just plays god in the end. Twice due to the DC of II! He is bullied after loosing his powers and then goes back to violently beat that man after getting them back (!). He straight our murders a human Zod and allows Ursa to @ the hands of Lois too. I can go on... I + II ultimately work but good Zod are they a mess.

            As long as he smiles to the camera, all is forgotten!....;)) This is the issue, you can have all these events, but with brighter colors and all-american smiles, people will forget and really not care. When you have such a dark tones in color, for a character that most people know as light, you will have backlash, as did MOS. They just have to have him smile and show many day time scenes with the sun out and bright day, and poof!!.....Superman is fixed. No snapping of necks either.

            No snapping necks, only drowsing and throwing people into a nuclear reactor (!) is allowed...
            You can fool people into nearly everything with a film as long as it "looks" right. MoS wasn´t dark until the 3rd act but Snyder played it for real there and the film is now seen as a grim-dark, or whatever, thanks to that. It´s really wasn´t though.

            I've always felt that what made Man of Steel's neck snap so jarring was the attempt at realism. The "violence" in the Christopher Reeve films was cartoonish and played for laughs. Superman throwing Nuclear Man into a reactor had about the same tone as Elmer Fudd blowing a hole in Daffy Duck's beak. Because Man of Steel had such a serious tone, people took the violence more seriously, and many were disturbed by it.

      Snyder is so anti-humour he didn't have a laugh track in the Jon Stwert cameo! It sound so weird him making the jokes on TV with no laugh track. I'm glad if the studio is trying to go full marvel, he'll naturally balance some of that out just being himself.

      The stand looks more like the "regular" / modern version than the Miller one. I would try to go for a balance myself. The current suits does a lot of things right and that take is only a few years younger too. It´s clear that DC is going for a strong corporate synergy right now, i can dig it:

    Saddens me every time when the Justice League is shown and GL is not part of it, if they really wanted a little bit of diversity then they should have just went with John Stewart rather than boring Cyborg.

      Oh no doubt, someone from the hospital probably bought the kid the shirt and has no idea and the kid probably has no idea as well. It's funny to think he's a super DC fan boy though, and they're like we couldn't get the JL but we got the next best thing!!!!..... Seriously the kid looks super happy and it's awesome that these actors do this kind of stuff regardless of DC/Marvel BS.

      It´s good that most humans have no idea. A label doesn´t make a comic story good or bad. It´s just branding in the end. My mother doesn´t know what the Batman symbol is and she never saw a comic film besides From Hell. She still wakes up each day just fine.

    I love every member of this cast so far, but especially Cyborg. Ever since Ray Fisher started his #Borglife thing he's just been so wonderfully enthusiastic and happy to be in the role. I was curious how he would look in the movie, and judging by that cutout, he is going to look pretty sick.

    Cavill is without a doubt MY Superman. Affleck, Gadot, Miller, and Momoa are looking great. Great time to be a DC fan, and a comic book fan in general.

    In the shield of Superman, you see two lines in the s symbol. In Batman v Superman there was only one line in the symbol. And in Man of Steel there was no line at all.
