'Justice League' to shoot in a small village in Iceland

Zack Snyder and the Justice League cast have been filming in Warner Bros. Leavesden Studios in England since April, but they're about to go out into the world on location!

Visit Westfjords, the official website of an Iceland travel guide, says that Justice League will be filming in the Westfjords of Iceland in October or November. The Djúpavík village will be the primary location in Iceland, and is pictured above.

A crew of about 200 will be on set, and some well-known Icelandic actors will have minor roles in the movie, including Ingvar E. Sigurðsson, Kristbjörg Kjeld, Ágústa Eva Erlendsdóttir and Salóme Gunnarsdóttir.

Visit Westfjords mentions Jared Leto's name as part of the cast of Justice League, but they are probably just going off of online rumors, and not their own sources for that part of their article. Jared Leto was in London, home of the Justice League set, at the end of June.

  We haven't really seen a trailer yet. Footage prepared for SDCC has been released but it wasn't really a trailer, and it certainly wasn't a teaser.

        I hope it's good, but the schedule it's going to be released in simply does not let it. The more blockbusters come out within a given year, the more the market is saturated.

I have a hunch it'll be exteriors, etc. for the scene where Bruce is looking for Aquaman, as seen in the SDCC teaser. This village looks like a believable exterior for what we saw.

Per the article from the Icelandic website, "The movie is supposed to take place in a foreign planet"
This would be awesome. I have always insisted that the earth play ground was getting boring, MOS had a few fights there, BVS showed us Bats vs Supes there, then Bats, Supes and WW vs DD there. Showing other places off earth in other places of the galaxy would certainly open up the universe. if this is in fact true, I am psyched.

Looks like he's not given up on his role as Joker. THANK GOD. He still has more to offer as The Clown King of Gotham. I also have a feeling that if not in JL next year but the next JL, we might see Joker and Luthor team up. I hope to God that they remake a scene from the Superman cartoon where Harley and Mercy fight. :)

        Awww. Well, at least Leto's not giving up as Joker so that's a plus. He has a chance to explore more depth of the character in more movies. Nicholson and Ledger did phenomenal with their one time performances, I believe that like Romero that Leto will pull more out of his head now, method acting or not.

        How do you think Leto's Joker along with Eisenberg's Luthor would work together? As we seen in BVS and SS, I think they own personalities will be even more while weird, worthwhile and exciting.

        There's still a chance that Mercy may be back, small chance though. I think in the Young Justice cartoon, she was a cyborg. So in the DCEU, if she comes back, she may be a full robot.

    Exactly, Leto is not a bad actor by any means and with the right script he can be the best Joker to date. There were only small things that I didn't like about him which is easily fixable, cut the love crap with Harley, the cancer voice and purring sounds needs to go and stop with the hipster clothing, give him his basic purple suit look.
    Eisenberg on the other hand, yeah no, they fucked up big time and there is no way you can fix Lex unless you bring in his father and kill Eisenberg's piss poor version.

      Here's a problem with Leto -- he is not an improviser. Of all people, how could they hire a guy who doesn't know how to improvise, for the role of the mothafukin Joker?! He is all about improv! So the only way he can be good in this role is if they hold his hand and tell him exactly what to do in each scene.
      Ayer clearly did not do that in SS -- probably just told him to do whatever the hell he liked.
      As to Eisenberg, I say just move on and forget what happened. No need to complicate matters further with some father. Just recast. Call James Mcavoy -- he looked cool bold as Prof Xavier. Doesn't matter, he can do 2 franchises.

  If Leto look more like a traditional joker, he would have been liked by the majority of the public, the dislike for him is more aesthetic, than portrayal wise in my opinion.

        10 minutes of screen time is more than enough to make a judgment. I knew I loved Heath and Jack's Jokers within the first minute of them appearing on screen. There is simply nothing about this Joker that makes me want to see him again.

Since I'm from Iceland I'm glad another "Batman film" is being shot at Iceland :) Great place to shoot all kinds of scenes.
