Ah, Alfred. Where would Bruce be without you? Where would any of us? I've got to tell you, folks—seeing our faithful friend don the cape and cowl and stand up to Gotham was probably the highlight of my week in comics.
We also had a few #1s, with decent debuts from Batgirl and the Birds of Prey and Suicide Squad. I even got to review an issue of Superman—something I've actually done a few times in the last several months, but never tire of. All-in-all, it was another solid week for DC, and we liked most of what we read. How about you?

Batgirl and the Birds of Prey hits many of the right notes, but it’s a messy arrangement when the “song” comes to a close (largely due to the art).
