on Black Manta is the villain in Jason Momoa's 'Aquaman' movie

Black Manta will be the villain in Jason Momoa's Aquaman movie, according to The Wrap.

In the comics, Black Manta is Aquaman's most famous (and deadliest) villain. In the latest version of his origin story, Aquaman killed Black Manta's father in retaliation for a murder he committed. This puts the villain on a path for revenge.

Aquaman is being written by Will Beall, based on a draft by DC's Geoff Johns and director James Wan. The movie is currently scheduled to be released in July 2018.

Who do you think they should cast to play Black Manta in Aquaman? Let me know in the comments below.

Well King Shark is another, though I doubt they'll use him since he was on The Flash TV show.

Yeah so? The joker is better than ras Al ghul doesn't mean he is a bad villain that can't be in his own movie

Just keep it simple WB, no need for 7 different versions. Stick to the comics, don't overcrowd it, make a coherent plot, minimize those damn flashback scenes, and we should be golden.

Not a fan of the tubes on BM's helmet, they look like too easy a target. Hopefully they go for the Young Justice look. It's just a little more streamlined.

Was there ever a question that his arch Nemesis would lead the charge, no offense to Orm. He can be build up for the sequel. Aquaman is my most awaited solo film due to the director, the cinematic "freshness" of the property and the lack of true underwater films. Wan wants to have a horror vibe btw. I chose Lance Reddick. https://www.youtube.com/wat...

All that video does is imply Samuel L. Jackson should play him.

he would be 63 in 2018, he could do 2-3 more, beside him Idris would be great but even if his contract with marvel run out i don't know if he would want to be in another comic book movie( i would like him to be John Stewart) , maybe David Oyelowo or Michael K. Williams he was great in wire...

Well I thought Nate Parker would be a great choice for John Stewart/Green Lantern but if not that, he could make for a good Black Manta

I like that choice. Billy Brown would also make a great John Stewart

It could be a white dude for all we know. They should get Mel Gibson. Get a stunt double to do the action, he'll be wearing a helmet 90% of the movie anyway.

One of the oldest and iconic black villains shouldn't be white washed. The ire alone would be bad, but dude is deeply rooted in black culture.

Well Bond is Ian Fleming's ideal scumbag hitman yet sociable gentleman spy. Appearance wise he has NEVER been truly reflected apart from a few. People treated Connery like Ledger at first. These days bond is a rotating moniker that doesn't bend to a single identity. Batman is rotating but we know ideally he should be white but we hired a Welsch dude to play him. Batman's race only depends on what you intend for him. His wealth is important and not many other races can pull off coming from aristocracy however not all incarnations come from that.

I agree 👍 I think I don't doubt idris would kill the role but James bond was written as a politically incorrect character.

I'm down for that! Though I'm sure Denzel would want to be in a multiple contract if he was interested.
