Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill are back in first 'Justice League Action' sizzle reel

Straight from San Diego Comic-Con we have the first footage for the upcoming animated series Justice League Action.

The sizzle reel features plenty of exciting footage of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, as well as a wealth of cameos and intriguing teasers (a Superman robot? What?) It's still uncertain how this series will be structured, be it standalone shorts or episodic arcs, but any show that features a fight between Lobo and Space Cabbie is worthy of attention.

The series, with an all-star cast including Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Diedrich Bader, Tara Strong, Lacey Chabert, Carl Reiner, and James Woods is expected to premiere some time later this year.

Uhg, terrible animation with cheesy lines... Pretty much everything I hate about what DC has done lately with their animation. Whatever happened to the good stuff like Young Justice where the animation was great and the dialogue and storylines even better? DC has been slipping ever since Flashpoint.

  While I think TTG! is an okay show, but not as bad as people seem to think, the art direction is really amazing. This clip alone is wonderful and I always love when they do references to things. Dammet, TTG! Don't suck me back in!

    Still the best episode. This better than the old show, due to a unified tone and style. The old show also got 2 finales, due to the film. Enough is enough.

Hell yeah! It looks kid-friendly enough to be able to get decent ratings (like Teen Titans Go!), while still having some mature comic booky elements in it (unlike Teen Titans Go!).

Great to have Kevin and Mark back, but is it just me or has the animation in most newer DC based animated TV shows gone to shit? They seem to lack detail and depth. Looks like they're going for cheap, quick, and easy.

I agree wholeheartedly. Most recent DC toons look cheap and lazy, and as a massive DC fan it pains me that I can't get enthusiastic about any of their animated stuff.
This Justice League Action thing looks pretty good, though.

First off, I know that we here are not the target audience for this show. This is for children. But regardless, Cartoon Network cancelled good shows like Young Justice and Beware the Batman and all that remains are the dumbed down shows like Teen Titans Go and now this. More crap for the ADD/cell phone generation that can't handle plot or serialized storytelling. When we were kids, we got quality. It's a shame. But let me guess. Fans will eat this up because OMG Kevin Conroy and Mark Hamill!!! Again, I know this show is for children. But I still miss the days when cartoons with these characters could be enjoyed by all, and weren't catering to the little kids who only want bright colors and flashing lights in small doses. Screw this show and Cartoon Network.

I'm looking forward to it because of the variety of characters they're using. The writers clearly did their homework, using obvious picks along with more left-field choices like Plastic Man, Swamp Thing, and Space Cabbie.
As far as storytelling, it's a sizzle real so we don't really have any idea how the plots develop. No matter what, it's nice to have some new DC animation.
Saying that, I hope Netflix takes notice and enough people watch so we can get more Young Justice and soon.

I feel like Conroy and Hamill wouldn't have done this if it was only a cheesy Justice League, kiddy show. So based on that, I'm excited. They certainly have the "Action" part in the show.
