The Walking Dead's Benedict Samuel is the Mad Hatter in 'Gotham' Season 3

Poison Ivy won't be the only classic Batman villain joining Gotham Season 3. Warner Bros. and FOX announced today that The Walking Dead's Benedict Samuel will play Jervis Tetch, aka the Mad Hatter.

In Gotham, Tetch is a talented hypnotist teetering on the edge of madness. He arrives in Gotham with an unwavering desire to find his sister, Alice, a young woman who went missing in the city years ago. It is anyone’s guess just how far down the rabbit hole he’s willing to go in order to find her.

Gotham's third season will premiere on FOX on Monday, September 19th.

  I've liked Gotham in the past and have just come to accept it for what it is and enjoy the ride while its offered. I really don't have any complaints. I liked his character on Walking Dead. Super creepy.

I mean, I know we should be expecting this kind of bs from Gotham by now, but wtf? Between the casting and character description the only thing this shares with the comic is in name. Don't get me wrong, nothing against this actor, he was fantastic in TWD. But how awesome would it have been if they had cast a dwarf actor? (and not Peter Dinklage, there's more than just the one)

Yeah just read Alice is his SISTER so i doubt it. It would make sense in a dark Batman film but not so much on CW i guess.

Huh... Not so sure about this casting but i hope to be pleasantly suprised. Aw! And Alice is his SISTER?! SUNNUVA BITCH! Had to go bk and read again to catch that. Disappointing... But then i guess CW isnt gonna show something like sexual assault type Hatter.
