The Flash director Rick Famuyiwa is wasting no time in researching the character, ever since it was announced that he landed the vacant position. Last night, Famuyiwa shared a photo on Twitter of a huge stack of Flash comics and joked "today was a blur".

Last week after the news broke that he'd be directing The Flash, Famuyiwa sent out a couple of other tweets, including a GIF of Flash's cameo from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

The Flash starring Ezra Miller hits theaters on March 16, 2018.

    Great that Famuyiwa directs! Ezra Miller looks great, can't wait to see his other cameo in 1080p ;) I guess we'll finally get to see him in the suit this Comic-Con

        I don't watch that show but I'm sure Ezra is very talented, he got range. I think he's going to nail it.

    I like this guy even more now..feel way more confident about Famuyiwa directing this film and giving it its own identity than the other bloke.

    Yes...I like him already. That "too soon" must be hinting at the Flashpoint Paradox...this is going to be so awesome.

    I remember when Ayer was about to start filming Suicide Squad, reading the comics and the source material. I get the same vibe.... of greatness to follow.

    Wow. There's, like, six or seven years worth of comics stories there. That's the tip of the iceberg to a venerable character like Barry Allen.

    I'm pretty sure he has a good knowledge with comics in general. Although Dope was autobiographical it seemed like he put himself in the characters, geeks that read manga. Would love it if he managed to get Pharell Williams along to do the soundtrack

    None of these appear to be written by Mark Waid (just read the last Flash news), but these reprints will come out at a later date. Hm. The NEW52 ones are the weak link here, but that run only fell apart after the photographed compilations.

    Rick Famuyiwa´s Dope (9/10) is a better film than the 2 DCEU films, in their current form, and the film has very kinetic direction and editing. The complicate message is very good and the film masks the dark narrative though a positive overall energy. Just what we need! Check the film out true believers and his matter of fact Confirmation (8/10) is worth a watch too. I am now off to watch his The Wood and Talk to Me.

    But I still think it'll be Wally West over Barry Allen. I hope he gets inspired by the NEW 52 ones as well because F. Manapul & B. Buccellato did an awesome job with it. I still dream of that one part where he vibrates a whole plane T_T

      That plane scene would rock on the big screen (though I would love them to show the Flash having to catch someone while falling out a plane and then save them like Wally West had to do once in the Messner-Loeb series)

    Kinda worried that the pile is largely nu52 stuff, hopefully this wont just be a nu52 show like the CW series (which I love). Can we please get some classic SA stuff please (hint hint no dead mother/dad in jail)!

    My kind of guy, reading the novels and not single issues! Don't know why, I've just always enjoyed the books more, even when they get to the end of an arc in the issues and put them all in one book.
