on Exclusive: Jared Leto's Joker to be featured in Rick Ross and Skrillex 'Suicide Squad' music video

Last night, Jared Leto put his Joker costume back on and shared some pictures on Snapchat, Twitter, and Facebook. This left fans wondering why. Were there very late Suicide Squad reshoots going on? Was he in London for Justice League? The answer to both of those theories is no!

Sources tell Batman News that Leto was in Miami shooting a music video for Rick Ross and Skrillex's new song (don't know the title yet), which will be included on the Suicide Squad soundtrack. Apparently the music video will feature the Joker himself!

The song premiered earlier this year at WAV Nightclub in Atlantic City. It's hard to make out all of the words, but you can definitely hear "Suicide Squad", "Gotham City", "Killer Croc", and "purple Lamborghini", a reference to Joker's car in the movie (though it's not actually a Lamborghini, it's a custom Vaydor 35).

Take a listen below and be on the look out for the music video featuring Jared Leto as The Joker. I'll get it posted here on Batman News as soon as it's released.

Update: The Suicide Squad music video drops on July 1st, according to Atlantic Records EVP Kevin Weaver.

          What? How is Forever worse? Same kind of shitty villains, but at least it tries to be semi serious with Bats and his Bruce Wayne persona. I guess Batman and Robin does have that kind of 'it's so bad it's good' appeal. Both movies are attrocities, though.

            Val Kilmer forgot his own backstory and the whole tone made no sense.
            Cloony´s assigned nonsense can at least be seen as a somewhat fun camp gay musical / toy commercial. Forever 4/10. B&R 5/10 and the toy line wasn´t bad. Especially the comic accurate Bane toy i still have.

          Batman Forever has a superb Soundtrack album, B&R has a couple of cool tracks mixed with some cheesy ones Now to say Forever is a worse film than B&R is really awkward to me but hey, you´re entitled to your opinion!

      I kinda miss those songs that came out of the Schumacher series, as bad as the actual movies were. At least the songs were good and has lasted till this day. The DCEU should pick that up again - the Dark Knight series badly missed it imo.

          I was referring to the fact that Deadpool using that song in its marketing that DMX gained a bit more popularity again after falling out of favour in the rap genre

      and Superman vs The Elite have similar enough songs the opening credits and WB is using the toon films as a testing ground, so i expect to hear the song after the prologue.

        Hey, they actually did say the merchandise for this movie will be aimed at adults! Also, this song sounds like it's gonna be pretty explicit.

          There's a difference between merchandise and tie in promotion. And last time I checked there wasn't any explicit language in the longer version.

    This song is 🔥🔥🔥🔥, Definitely a banger for the summer. Ross/Skrillex fit the Gangster meets punk aesthetic perfectly. Purple Lambo, tatted up, nightlife. I can see it already. Ayer is a genius!

      Those mix reactions Reports are only assumed by the crowds reaction when the flim ended ,which doesn't indicate the crowds true feelings for the flim .

        Yes. I've never understood people gauging the success of a movie by how many people clapped in the theatre.

        When I saw Batman v Superman some people clapped at the end. A friend told me that her theatre cheered and hollered during the entire Doomsday fight, especially when Wonder Woman showed up. No one cheered in the theatre I was in.

        When I went to see X Men Apocalypse, the crowd cheered and clapped through a lot of the movie. And when Wolverine showed up the place went wild.

        That never happened when I went to see Civil War. In fact most of the people coming out of the theatre were complaining that the movie was too long, but funny. Same thing with The Force Awakens. You could have heard a pin drop by the time the movie was over and everyone was filing out. If I was to gauge the success of these movies by audience reaction in the theatre then Civil War and Force Awakens should have been the films taking a critical thrashing.

        I've never clapped after a movie was over even if I truly loved or enjoyed it. Seems strange to me, to clap. A play, yes, clap. The actors are there to appreciate it. But a movie? No thank you.

    Suicide Squad...The Fast & Furious of comic book movies, lol. Just kidding, I'm sure this will be just end credits, which makes wonder about the finale scene...it has to be energetic in order for this song to come up towards the end.
