I reeeeally hope Will Smith doesn't try to hog the spotlight in this film. He has a habit of doing it in pretty much all the films he agrees to do.

But we all know Margot Robbie and Jared Leto are going to steal the show anyway; I wouldn't be surprised if Smith doesn't return for a sequel.

I heard about 4 characters got about equal screen time. It's an ensemble movie, and he isn't the main focus or the director, so he won't "hog the spotlight". You wanna know how he hogs the spotlight in his movies? By being the only actor that people really care to see in a movie lol. I Am Legend, I, Robot, Hitch, Hancock, Seven Pounds...he tends to be in movies with much lesser known co-stars and have a lead role, so of course he's going to steal the spotlight or appear to steal it. He's mainly a lead actor, and aren't lead actors supposed to "hog the spotlight" since they have the main role? Lol. You're basically saying "Lead actors always have a habit of being the main character in a movie that's about the main character" haha.

    You see this is the problem, people will spin things any way they see fit to hate on the DCEU...and this is what needs to stop....they all said the characters were amazing, and one specifically says Leto was AMAZING...smh. Only one person out of all those reviews said that people are going to have their opinions about him, but that it fits the world perfectly....that in no way shape or form means that there is a doubt how great he was....smh, actually quite contrary. Anyways, so far the reviews have all been excellent from everyone, good news so far. Enjoy the positives dude, and stop trying so hard to find the negatives.

My hype is still over 9000 regardless. The DCEU hasn´t let me down so far!

    Ah yes. Random negativity towards something NONE of us can even judge as of now and confirmation bias links to anonymous catch phrases. None of them are negative though... Did you link incorrectly?
    Truly, constructive criticism for the age! Hating is always easy but having an individual opinion, that apparently became very hard. Yet i will undoubtedly show up during the opening week and so will most of us.
    MoS´s 660 mil. should be the goal everyone. No stopping till then.

  Bane is my favorite comic villain of all time (i even have an action figure!), so you have no idea how happy Rises made me and Chuck Dixon.
  TAS, Arkham Origins, Young Justice and maybe JL Doom (no drugs past the origin please) are the only good non-comic versions of him. Rebirth needs to "fix" him and DC´s toon films department should do a film trilogy based on Knighfall.

I think it's still too premature to say the DCEU needs saving. If Suicide Squad made between MoS & BvS (I think the chances of it grossing over $1 billion is slim), it'd be a successful. It'd all illustrate despite mix reviews of the DCEU (so far), it's doing well enough not to need saving.

  If only the plot is narrated in a coherent way then i'm happy that's why WB hired Batfleck now to be the executive producer of Justice League part 1. This is a sign that the DCEU is in some trouble for sure.

    I think it was more a panic move by them. I don't read too much into this or the Johns announcement. After all, Johns was apart of the GL movie & that one didn't fair too well.
    I think they should've weathered the storm a bit longer before they panicked.

      You have to admit that BvS was crammed with too many subplots, they could've done a better job if the movie had a runtime of 3 to 3.5 hours or that it would be split into 2 parts of 3 hours each. This is what i call building up a Universe that leads to JL in a coherent fashion. One thing is important, they should not be a copycat of Marvel.

      I was lukewarm to see it when last trailer came out. Plus, it came out when our son was born & I promised my wife I wouldn't go to the movies or events without her until her maternity leave was over. She wasn't interested in the movie.
      I've read enough articles, reviews, & had conversations with my friends who have seen it to wait until Netflix gets it.

      Thanks. I had suggested Bruce (my father-in-law's middle name) Wade (my father's first name), but my wife saw through what I was doing & vetoed the suggestion.
      Probably not. I basically only buy movies more then just I will watch; it's why I haven't bought Star Wars: TFA. My two minions are too young to watch & my wife has no interest in either.
      I can borrow a friend's, use Netflix & the Internet to watch the movie & content.

      Well let me tell you this, BvS was a real adventure in IMAX 3D but of course seeing it on home video is a different thing, still good, i only wished that the theatrical cut was 3 hours which might make the plot more coherent. We'll have to wait and see.
