Ever since we saw the suit of a dead Robin in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, fans have debated as to which Robin it actually was. Jason Todd was the obvious choice, and now it's official! In a new video from Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, tour guide John confirms that the dead Robin is in fact Jason Todd (1:33 mark).

Update 05/22/16: For some reason the video was pulled from their Facebook page, but you can read the full quote below.

"This was one of the big things from Batman v Superman, right across this way. The Jason Todd Robin suit. Spray painted on the front 'Ha ha. The joke's on you Batman'. Those of you that know the storyline, know what happened to this Robin," John explained.

In the comics, Jason Todd's Robin is killed by the Joker. He was eventually resurrected and came back as the Red Hood, an antihero who isn't afraid to kill. It's rumored that this Red Hood storyline could be used in Ben Affleck's solo Batman movie.

          Ehh I used to like Damian but now that DC is shoving him down our throats in the animated movies and comics it's making me like him less. I wouldn't mind him dying at all. He's going to led the teen titans in the rebirth comics soon and going to be in the son comics with superman son. That's two comic series with him as the main. Tim drake will only be in the detective series as a new sidekick, ohh how I miss the pre 52.
          Jason and dick get there own solo series so did Damian no Tim. 🙁

    Noticed when looking at the pictures of the Robin suit, if you close up on the mask it looks like it has foam on the inside, possibly as if it was designed to be worn. We shall see soon with the ultimate cut I hope. People already thought the movie was too dark(not me) if they had Robin getting murdered with a crow bar, I understand why that's a bit much for the average movie goer who isn't up on comics.

            I didn´t even have to use google, as i have read over 1000 Batman issues. I even have a Bat-signal earring. Bruce also regularly tortures and cripples people, like basically every month and you could allow Ra´s to die in Arkham Knight.

            The ONLY cinematic Batman who never killed is Clooney (Forever is worse btw.), as even Adam West killed 1 goon in the 66 film. Cloony = best Batman? Lol.

            Golden Age Batman killed for like less than two years until the code was instituted.
            Mike W. Barr. = Batman year two= irrelevant. And Ra's Al Ghul never really dies
            TDKR: nope, just nope. "I believe you" is left to imaginations and is pretty ambiguous, I don't consider it kill.
            Technically, he didn't kill him, he left him to starve. Again, I admit the 80s had an effect over the nature of comics.
            Grant Morrison, it's not certain if the events were real in that comic because it has a lot of Bruce flashbacks and dreams, so it's ambiguous. And darkseid isn't human, I'm okay with that. My ideal is, a vigilante who doesn't kill the criminals, who leaves that part upto the law.
            Parademons and talons are non-sentient, and technically they're already dead.

            And they were sand creatures, a lot of them, so it's not killing really.

            I already showed you the picture of the crippled goons from the New52. Damian even melted people...
            DKR Bruce basically tortured a man to the edge of death with broken glass, bounced back grenades and rockets to kill a lot of teenage-mutants in the mud pit (he even smirks about it!), forced the general to commit suicide in the toon film adaptations, crippled the Joker and how do any of us know if hight frequency rubber bullets don´t kill. He further shot a teenage girl with a high caliber rife that can cut apart jeeps (i was in the German military for 2 years) @ point blank range. She is beyond dead. Year One is the ONLY Miller Batman with no kills but he viciously hospitalized a S.W.A.T. cop for nearly killing a cat!

            The comic code was from 1954 (i did a school paper on it) and he killed during the code too. The one rule code stuff is from the early 40s but he still continued to kill. Especially if Japanese saboteurs were in involved!

            I can also list dozen of comics where Bruce himself used proper sniper / assault rifles (or power suits) for all sorts of reasons... Tec´ 710 has a very memorable scene! How i miss Chuck Dixon.

            Parademons are sentient, just read Secret Six. Talons, as Calvin Rose / Strix, can even be "turned back". Look, every member of the Trinity is a killer if shit get´s real. Get over it.

          Little batarangs are supposed to be Batman´s ninja stars. Many times Batman is depicted throwing a full hand of those at once. In Batman Begins you can see Bruce Wayne sharpening the metal...

      It isn´t a real weapon. It was only used it as a point of reference (i have actually read the guide), and Jason killed at least 1 person before his death in the comics.

        Thanks for the clarification. And I don't mind the killing aspect I was actually a big fan of this new batman iteration. But that weapon just looks too gruesome for robin. Lol maybe its just me.

          Fun fact: Dick Robin actually murdered people in the 40s and he nearly
          managed to kill the Joker during his first appearance in 1940 by
          throwing him of a roof! But editors decided to "save" Joker from being a one-off villain and Batman himself caught him. Lol.

    I highly doubt that a guide dude has accurate knowledge about that precise plot point. It's more likely that he, as any other fan, expects that suit to be todd's and he just slipped

      not necessarily. Nobody has officially stated that there have been several Robins in the DCEU. Just because there were several in the comics does not automatically mean that the same applies to the movies. Jason could have simply been the only Robin in this universe. They are not bound to the comics canon. They already took heavy liberties with Doomsdays origin (if that even was Doomsday), the portrayal of Lex and changed Batmans no kill policy in the movie. Not too mention that they made Diana come out of retirement after 100 years and made Batman 10 years older then Superman, both of which are things that deviate heavily from comics canon.

    only recently I got the "Batman: Under the Hood" paperback collection which collects the whole Jason Todd saga. I already loved the animated movie, but the comic version is still on a whole other level. Judd Winick, Doug Mahnke and Shane Davis created simply one of the best Batman stories of all time, which every true Batman fan should have read at least once in his life.

    I guess we may see Red Hood in the Ben Afflick Batman movie. Never wondered way the "Joker is Jason Todd" thing took off. Why would you become the guy who killed you? I know Jason's persona is based on who Joker supposinly was but wouldn't he want to kill him and stick it the Batman to show his fatal vigilate style is better?

    That could be an interesting point to build up with in the movie. But since both characters have a penchant for lethal force I wonder how they would argue over methods.

    It might just be more of Batman taking on non super beings, which will make it more awesome, as we saw in BvS where he takes down those goons it was his best scene....I think we'll be getting a lot of that in SS.

            Exactly!....I'm glad to know at least someone gets it.....that's what I think the difference was with the TDK trilogy, they were serious but not depressive which is why people loved it. Zack does not seem to know the difference. Anyways, can't wait to see SS, for I will not only be looking at the movie in itself but the differences in tone compared to BvS..super excited!

    Oh well...It's not like they can just kill off Dick. He's too famous, too well-liked, too awesome to be killed. Plus, he's Nightwing (I'm all for a Nightwing movie ;D). They wouldn't use Tim...since his death probably wouldn't be as impactful. Jason is the obvious choice. He's Batman's greatest failure and his change into Red Hood is a very compelling story to tell.

      A magazine said it was 100% CGI but that was false. It was a real suit that Ben Affleck wore.
