New look at Batgirl from 'Batman: The Killing Joke'

Warner Bros. Home Entertainment publicist Gary Miereanu just shared a new image of Batgirl from Batman: The Killing Joke. She's voiced by Tara Strong.

Since the source material isn't long enough for a full feature film, an original Batgirl story will serve as a prologue to the movie. This way fans are more invested with the Barbara Gordon/Batgirl character before her big turning point with The Joker later on.

Batman: The Killing Joke is available for pre-order now. It'll be available on Digital HD on July 23rd, and Blu-ray/DVD on August 2nd.

should be the origin of this costume. It´s still basically her original 60s costume. The one-shots Batman and Robin´97 birthed were all very good. Weird, eh?

  Batman´66 XXX also hired the show´s original costume designer, but i could barely get through the trailer. Cringe.

Fun fact: They reused that costume on Bird of Prey (never forget...) and the repainted version looks great. The original Alica version also had a cowl and BaR had a very good toy line.

    Check this out, apparently this guy thinks Suicide Squad was a lot better than BvS, and that even Batman's portrayal was better.....I honestly hope Snyder gets replaced if this turns out to be the general consensus.

      I'm not lying, i'm just saying what i've heard, those people could be wrong and i hope so of course, SS should save the messy plot of BvS, MoS was good but that was just focused on one Superhero but a movie with a lot of Superheroes in it is a different thing, it needs a good and coherent storytelling.

      Jesus! Thats freakin awful! Disgusting. And yes it is. Ur absolutely right and its pathetic. Almost makes me believe in the apocalypse and end times w as bad as its gotten. But then it always seems to happen w great empires and societies, and well that usually is when things begin to fall apart, so in not so necessarily a biblical sense it could still happen i suppose. I mean to each their own beliefs. I personally would really love a new age of enlightenment to turn it all around, but that doesn't seem to be anywhere near. :/

Glad to see they added her to the story, I hope her part is very important to her character and not just filler.

Glad about her costume, I more happy for the classic look instead of the doc martins pseudo-Halloween costume she currently wears. The *clears throat* chest design is really not important to me as much as the classic black and yellow returning.
