That's a wrap! Gal Gadot's 'Wonder Woman' movie heads to post-production

After six long months of shooting, production has wrapped on Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman movie! Gadot made the announcement on social media today, thanking her "amazing cast, crew and phenomenal director".

Gadot doesn't get a break from all that hard work and Wonder Woman costume though. Now she'll head over to London where Justice League: Part One is currently shooting.

Wonder Woman began shooting in the UK in November, and was also shot in France and Italy. Now there's just over a year to get it ready for its June 2, 2017 release date. I would expect the trailer to be released at Comic-Con in July, but while we wait for that, check out the very first footage from the movie below.

I'm excited and cautiously optimistic.
The scope that this movie seems to be trying to encompass is enormous. This is a sword and sandal fantasy epic, a war movie, coming of age story, romance, and superhero origin put in one pack. Sounds promising, but definitely a risky venture. What worries me the most about this project is screenwriter Jason Fuchs. His track records don't exactly promise a stellar movie, though I haven't seen his works myself. Gonna rent Pan this weekend to see what's the deal with this guy.

  Pan didn't do well critically, but Fuchs' script was critically praised. In fact, it was on Hollywood's 2013 Black List, which is essentially a list of really good scripts that haven't been picked up yet.

In other comic "news": X-Men: Apocalypse is now starting on RT and it´s already rotten. I don´t really believe that though! Comic tv/film criticism is starting to turn a weird corner... Even Daredevil S02 isn´t certified, despite being the best life action comic adaptation to date. Look i haven´t see the film but still. Singer is incapable of doing a bad X film, so BvS is about to get company it seems. Urgh.

  Daredevil best live action comic adaptation?? hmm don't know about that. Season 1 was good (still had major issues in my opinion), but season 2 was absolutely uneven. Jessica Jones is a much better show

They de-powered Wanda and the Vision to the point of being pointless. Cap 3 isn´t a "bad" film but i expect it to finish last among the life actions films of 2016. The sweater though was golden and right out of the comics! Vision´s current comic (by future Batman writer Tom King) is Marvel´s best books on the stands.

  Comics Thor is powerful enough to make Loki and Avengers fiasco irrelevant, that's why they have to tone down him. Same with Supes

At this point, Marvel could literally release a 3 hour footage of a turd with their brand on it and be praised by critics. Oh and it has to be FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUN
Not saying that Civil War was bad though.

BOYS, BOYS, lets's not argue since we are men, right lol but let's not forget one thing, woman outnumber men 1 to 4, I believe and since this is the first, female super hero on the big screen, it might bring in lots of viewers. We seen superman, batman, and spider man movies and repeated so many actors over the years but this will be the first time a movie about WONDER WOMAN comes to the big screen. I personally watched Batman and Superman because of Wonder Woman not the guys lol and her appearance in that BvsS movie was such a great sneak peak of what is to come and I know it will be a big hit. I belong to the wonder woman's collectors club and men and women love wonder woman and we will be supporting our girl. lol

Saw BvS with my parents today. My dad is usually very picky about movies, and isn't too into the comic book movies. He really liked MoS and his reaction to BvS was, "Wow, that was actually really good." My mom liked it too, even though she was creeped out by it a bit lol. Neither of them know anything about the comics but had a lot of "Ah ha" moments when I explained some of the scenes to them.

I want an official confirmation on who Wonder Woman is fighting! I wonder if we will see Robin Wright as the bad guy? What if her aunt becomes Circe? Who are the villains gonna be d***it!!

I wonder if they're still using the Zeus demigod origin... I believe they're changing it back in the comics, and since her origin wasn't established in bvs it could be possible they changed their minds and decided to do her traditional origin, especially since her "origin" scenes on Themyscira have only been filmed recently.

Update for this: Patty Jenkins Tweeted an announcement this morning that the film has officially wrapped (and she thanked Gal, Chris Pine, and the crew). She also noted that it wrapped on William Moulton Marston's birthday!
