As promised, Will Smith, Jared Leto, Margot Robbie, and Cara Delevingne took the stage at the 2016 MTV Movie Awards to premiere a brand new trailer for Suicide Squad!

YO. First of all, the color scheme for this movie is DOPE. Second, Joker looks crazy as hell. and was Batman carrying Harley in that one shot?? Half of Joker's face burned?! This movie is looking up to be so much fun man, I can't wait.

In the animated series, Batman is sympathetic towards Harley, considering her as someone he knows he can save from The Joker. My guess is The Joker made a run for it and Bats decided to save Harley instead of chasing after the Joker.

Batman cameo for every single DC movie from here on out! :P I'm curious to know if he'll be able to outshine the Joker though. The Joker has literally stolen attention away from Batman in every film he's been in. Let's see Batman steal some attention back :)

HOLY CRAP, BATMAN DIVING AND CARRYING HARLEY TO THE BATMOBILE GIVE ME REASONS TO LIVE!!!!
It's sad that a CRAPPY Batman diving off a rooftop and carrying a CRAPPY Harley to his CRAPPY Batmobile in a poorly directed and overall CRAPPY looking film gives you reasons to live.
May I suggest the original Batman Animated Series (or even the Arkham games) which featured an AWESOME Batman, Harley, and Batmobile, not to mention numerous rooftop dives.
OR you could just experience Batman perfection and revisit The Dark Knight Trilogy.
I really hope it's as good as the trailer, and this is a GREAT trailer because i have NO idea what the plot is, but it has me intrigued in the characters
Not revealing a plot does not make a good trailer. A key feature that does however is making a good film, hence why this trailer sucked.
P.S. - Not giving away the plot was not the intention so much as masking the fact that the film probably won't have much of one. But as the trailer has shown, be prepared for heaps of superficial, forgettable and retreaded punch-lines, action scenes and pretty colours; this movie has it all.

But he's more slim than in BvS,which confuses me.The army guy at the beginning mentions Superman and what's stopping him from going into the White House and killing the president,so Suicide Squad might take place between MoS and BvS,but why don't I believe that's Batman who's taking the plunge after Harley?
Makes more sense if it's Batgirl and she gets crippled by Joker,which would then show up in the BvS Ultimate Cut as Oracle.
Still,I didn't see any boob shapes on the chest,so I'm really not sure what's going on.

Care to show me a link? I have seen absolutely nothing that confirms when the movie takes place.Most of the rumors said it was Before BvS,which makes sense considering the slim looking Batman shown in this trailer aside from the one that's sitting on top of the car.

dude superman is dead, that scene of talking about what would happen if he decided to kill the president tells you that he is alive, so obviously the movie is placed before bvs
Unless he is using it as a hypothetical because Superman's existence means there are others. Also, it could be a flashback scene. In either case, the clip certainly doesn't imply that the primary story in SS must come before BvS

I believe the scene thats shown with him here is a flashback. I could be wrong though.
Could be,since it shows Harleen falling in the water and Batman jumping after her,but in the other trailer they showed Joker jumping after her,so the editing is deliberately done to through us off.
Well Joker jumping in is a different part I believe. The Batman diving scene seems to be after the car chase but I believe the Joker diving scene was before during a moment from the New 52 where Joker throws her into the same chemicals he fell into years before.
Yes,I understand that.It's just the look of him that I find a bit confusing.The suit looks darker than the one in BvS,but that could be from the lighting.It certainly tends to be a younger Batman that's maybe part of a flashback scene.

Now to get back to the topic of discussion,I did pause the video and the Batman that jumps in the water is not the same as the one from BvS.He doesn't have the grey costume and is not as bulky.
Lol it's the same costume and it definitely is batman from BvS. Since the timeline is already confirmed and we know that we wont have a second batman (duh) it is obvious that you are wrong.

My opinion is that he looks the same by looking at the size of his legs haha. It may very well be a flashback scene, who knows. But I think we can all agree that its the same costume and the same batman though.
Who cares if its slimmer or not? Its people nitpicking to this extent that got BvS pissed all over when it was an absolutely fantastic movie. I dont mean any offense but lets just lighten up and enjoy all the glory that is the DCCU! Can u guys believe this is finally happening and in our lifetime?!?!?! This is likely a much younger Batman. Slimmer and more toned. Also, the bat mobile is without the turret. So pre killing phase.
I'm pretty sure the film does follow BvS but it will be a non linear story with flashbacks for our villains, hence a younger slimmer Batman and some links to Harley's past with the Joker.

This could very well be a flashback from an earlier time in this new cinematic DC history. So, younger, slimmer (even faster) Batman could be incoming to a theater near you...

What do you think so far, Jay? Being as sober as I can be about this, I can't find any obvious red flags in either of the SS trailers. Which is good.
Other than my initial reaction to some of the design choices (which I've long since gotten used to), I've been pretty optimistic about the movie from the get-go. Like you, nothing has really raised any red flags, and I feel it's a "lower stakes" movie, so they can get a bit crazier with the comic booky stuff like Katana's sword and Enchantress'... well, everything. It could, of course, be one good trailer and two great trailers cut together well with an end product that's a lemon, but as it stands this looks to at least be a good entertainment that balances the gritty action and irreverent tone it seems to be going for.
And Batman using a rebreather? That's a jam right there.

This proves that fun does not equal "funnier". This movie looks fun as hell without an over abundance of quips. Just the right amount of humor, and the correct type.
Well the critics are going to love this...I can already see 95% RT, and them saying Ayer should take control of DCEU....looks great by the way, very unique movie, can't wait! ;))

Suicide Squad look like a game changer.
Actually, the game-changer was Man of Steel.
It certainly has the potential to be being the first villain-centric comic book movie.
Thanks to Sony's Spider-Man world falling apart and no Sinister Six movie, DC is getting there first with this offering.
I'm still not sure about the Joker, I will reserve my full judgment until I see the movie.
