Watch 7 clips from 'Batman v Superman' featuring Batman, Superman, Bruce Wayne, and more

Warner Bros. has released 7 clips from Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice today. Some of these we've seen earlier this week while the cast was promoting the movie on TV interviews, but some are new too! Others are longer versions of clips that have been previously released as well.

Is it me, or does Bruce hint at Selina Kyle in the first clip below?

There's also a seventh clip that Warner Bros. hasn't released online yet. Diane Lane was a guest on The Late Late Show and brought a clip featuring herself and Henry Cavill's Superman. Check it out below.

Saw Man of Steel again last night. I love how MoS itself stated how the World wasn't ready for Superman. The real world wasn't ready for Superman either, and Superman was still described as he was depicted in the Donner movies.
Three years later, I hope this movie makes people realise that that movie was actually amazing. Love the softer mother-son dynamic between Ma Kent and Clark, and the argument between Alfred and Bruce.

Damn. I just can't wait.

The scene with mama Kent looks beautiful. Just showed my GF the Watchmen directors cut last month and we compared some of the cut styles and framing with some older art films and I gotta say, Fong and Snyder really know their stuff.

Snyder and Fong needs to do a bioshock movie. Also, Justin Lin will do very well with Aquaman I think. I'm just picturing watching Atlantis in 3d

Oh man, that scene with Clark and Martha is so good!

Now I'm more comfortable about what I can expect from Superman in this movie, the idea that he could being seen always like a villain bothers me a lot, but I could see in this scene how he was uncomfortable with all that situation, cause c'mon, he is Superman, one of the greatests symbols of hope and light to inspires humanity.

I'm very excited for this movie! March 23th, here I go! We are almost there, I can't expect less than a masterpiece =D

Look at it this way, she's his mother, she doesn't want to see him hurt or worse killed. She knows his potential for good and how he can help change the world, but also knows that the world could take him from her. So she's saying this as advice, it's up to him. Out of context guessing, I'm assuming he asked her a question or is feeling conflicted about how people are reacting to him. She's just saying that it's up to him. It's not her job to make him a martyr/savior, Clark has to make that choice.

I'd much rather see a more nuanced approach to a character that I haven't always enjoyed in the past. Seeing Superman battle with his identity and existence in Man of Steel was infinitely more interesting than any Superman material I've engaged with before. Furthermore, that's his mother. It would be absurd (to me) if she said "Go save them all, go put yourself in harm's way (not necessarily physical harm of course) and give your life up for them."
That sounds a bit crazy.
A mother would tell her son that he doesn't owe the world anything. He has a right to be there, to have a life of his own. That he has a choice. A mother would be afraid for her son's 'public image' for lack of a better term. Afraid of what the world will do to him. There's a lot of subtext to the scene if you take it at more than just face value. It's really not about temptation to be selfish. It's about having a choice. And what makes Superman great is that choice, of his own, to be good.
Isn't that more valuable than a boy scout who is programmed to be good and has zero struggles about it whatsoever?
I love the scene. It's more of what, for the first time, made Superman interesting to me on the big screen.
And I don't get your argument because this Superman hasn't been portrayed as anything but a good person. Yet also someone who is out of his depth, needs help, has internal struggle and isn't as one-dimensional as the 1960s.

  I agree that the tendency of DC to make things seem really dark overshadows that a bit, but I believe that this framing of Superman has been intentional in the marketing because of the way the world is viewing him in the movie. To them he IS this God/titan that should be worshipped/feared/hated/rejected. While the trailers certainly haven't shown us the good hopeful Superman - and there you have a very valid point that I can understand - I believe it was done to illustrate the world's reaction to him, and I quite like that.
  We all *know* that Superman is the hero and the good man. I have little doubt that the movie won't forget that Superman is a good person, but as we know the entire nature of this movie is one of conflict, fear and uncertainty.
  He is still shown saving people in the trailers and coming across as a saviour to the people, so that quality of his is absolutely there, and he's still shown seeking help from his mother and comfort from Lois Lane.
  People forget that this is his journey to becoming Superman. Lois is clearly telling him that his symbol of hope means something, while his mother tells him that he has the choice to be their hero. He is not devoted to being Superman yet. He is still *trying*. He is still learning. He is still growing.
  That, right there, is what makes him interesting in these films. We know what he is and where he's going to end up, but this whole journey, this struggle, of him getting there is absolutely fantastic in my opinion - and what better character to challenge everything he stands for than Batman himself?

Because anyone who has read the comics knows that it's exactly how Ma Kent is. Go read Birthright or pretty much any Superman story. They encourage him to do whatever he wants but at the same time show their lament for losing their son to the world. Jesus, sick and tired of people criticizing Snyder when he clearly understands the character and mythology behind Superman better than any director who has done him before.

I never said you can't have criticisms of Man of Steel or Snyder himself. I said that I am tired of people complaining or implying that Snyder does not know the character when anyone reading the comics knows that he indeed does know the character. Never said you can't have that opinion, doesn't mean I can't grow tired of hearing it. Especially if I strongly believe it's not true.
And I would like to add that I am not a Snyder defender. So stop generalizing. And yes, I will be the first to criticize Snyder if the Superman in BvS is anything like the Superman in TDKR because that is not Superman. So drop the childish act, don't expect to have the authority to express an opinion but not allow others to disagree with that opinion. I never said you couldn't have that opinion. I merely stated my fatigue with hearing it.

Only for those that are heavily bias and completely bent on picking apart every piece of dialogue simply to find fault with Snyder. She's simply stressing to her son that if he's going to commit himself to the plight of others then do it completely and whole souled or don't do it at all.

You make it sound as though Superman is intrinsically good. Clark's values and morals have been shaped by the Kents. You seem to be enthralled in some ideal silver age sensibilities of both Superman and the Kents. Heavily rooted in the nostalgic and dated idea that Earth would gladly accept and embrace a being like Superman and the hesitation the Kents would feel about Clark revealing himself.. Since Snyder is approaching the DCEU in a more realistic tone then the way those characters interact and react to situations should properly reflect that.

Great. I'm glad that you're glad. Even if how I personally felt was inconsequential to my main point, but I digress.

No kidding, that goes without saying. However that doesn't mean that the world around him, the people and the consequences of his actions therein isn't meant to reflect realism. Superman himself (and a great deal of the heroes/villians in the DC world) may not lend itself to "realism" that doesn't mean that the people around them can't. Snyder has chosen to juxtaposed these two elements within the DCEU and we get to see how humanity would react to the knowledge of god-like beings and larger than life characters existing in their world.

Then he never "ceased to be Superman". He didn't need coaxing to save a bus full of children or an oil rig full of workers. He didn't need convincing to perform the numerous heroic and anonymous deeds he performed throughout MOS. He did it because he wanted to. He did it out of the kindness of his heart. And clearly this same trend of heroics continues in BvS. That's why I found your statements rather baseless and inaccurate to the facts depicted. And for some strange reason you also seem to be under the impression that Clark's goodness and selfless nature is also inherent and that his view of humanity isn't a result of his upbringing by the Kents, since according to you they're selfish for acting like parents would when it comes to their kid.

    Exactly! In MOS we witness Clark reconciling his alien heritage and humanity. As Jor-El told him, "he can embody the best of both worlds" thus we see a fledgling Superman and not a full realized one.

      Yep, people constantly forget that in Man of Steel, and BvS, he isn't Superman yet. He is still on his journey to becoming that. It's literally plastered all over these BvS trailers in conversations with Lois and his mother, and even in the new (Gotham TV) trailer where Clark says "Superman was never real. Just the dream of a farmer from Kansas."
      How interesting would these movies be if Superman just woke up and decided to be Superman - in all his infinite goodness?
      I have this nagging suspicion that after BvS a lot of people will change their minds about Man of Steel.

I really don't want to diss Marvel but, to people who want to smear DC for Marvel's sake I say this. how many great, accomplished well-known and artistically free screen writers Marvel has. Even biggest Marvel fans criticize Marvel for snappy one-liners and lack of good villians. There is only Red Skull which Hugo Weaving refuses to portray again and Loki who has been milked for three movies. This has been an easy cash grab business for them without competition. Like how SW Force Awakens raked all that money with relying fans' sense of nostalgia without giving anything substantial or innovative in return. I am not pitting these two against each other (like some idiots do) but lets be honest with DCEU finally established Marvel will have no choice but up its game.

Im super excited about Lex and his "use" of
kryptonian technology, clearly the building with lightning in the
trailers is the genesis chamber ship that Supes destroyed in Man of
Steel. looks like it has been covered with structure but left on site of
the crash, does the military own it? or is it Lex?, Doomsday being
"born" in this chamber, also Lex is presenting his "Lex/os" systems and
who knows what else, and im very sure that plays a big part of the plot.
And finally, in the scene "If god wont kill man the devil will do it"
you can see Lex, Superman and behind one of the flying droids/helpers,
but clearly serving Lex, that should be fun to watch!... Cant wait!
