on New footage of Superman's trial from 'Batman v Superman' featured in Holly Hunter interview

Holly Hunter plays Senator Finch in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and new footage was shown during an interview she did today on CBS Sunday Morning. In the footage, we get an extended look at the Superman trial scene which takes place at the US Capitol Building.

Hunter revealed that she doesn't like superhero or action movies, but recognized how popular they are and how crazy it'll be to walk the streets of New York City knowing that most people would have seen her in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

    I'll be the only one who is in shock with the cinematography in every shoot that they releases??? It is really amazing!!! better than any other superheroe movie ever. Larry Fong really knows how to do this!!

    I don't think this trial has to do with the events of man of steel exclusively. I think superman is on trial for an event that happens in this movie. I can't really justify why I think this other than the fact that he literally saved the entire planet's population in the last movie. Several high ranking military officials knew about what Kal-el did in man of steel. It doesn't make sense that he would be on trial for that.

      I think you're right about that. I'm sure something happens in this film that he answers for and it's likely the MoS events are referenced. Isn't Lex supposed to initiate some sort of killing spree to make supes look bad and kick everything off?

      Yes, exactly. The trailers were edited in a way to make it look like this trial happens so Superman can answer for the events n MoS, but this movie takes place years after that event.

    Oh my goodness, That is so Zack Snyder in the corner stating behind his camera. F.Y.I Zack Snyder does have a cameo in this movie he said its in one of the destruction scenes. so keep your eyes peeled for that one.

    This courtroom scene looks so well written and well realized, just like the rest of the movie. Did you notice how Senator finch points to mcnairy's character as a way of showing what kal el caused unintentionally while he busy busy rescuing mankind. Mcnairy's character has no limbs, and the way he looks at kal el (pure hate). Maybe metallo? Who knows, I'd prefer him to be just a normal character who hates kal el like many should (even though kal el's not to be blamed) after the climactic battle in MoS.

      I haven't seen any of the Marvel films, but the thing that got me in the ads for AoU was that this was supposed to be the biggest Marvel film yet, and yet that Hulkbuster armor looked so cartoonish! And this was in the commercials, that are supposed to attract people! It was like they put all their design and rendering budget into Ultron and (probably) Hulk and didn't follow through on making the rest of the film look real.

    The only thing I am hoping for are properly established battle scenes. I would really love to see each character fighting his own way and different style. What I mean is that standing in one line and running towards the enemy (Avengers Age of Ultron) is just dumb.

      Hopefully DC will handle that power. As we all know, power corrupts...

      I already know my life won't be the same anymore. There is nothing I would be waiting so badly for. Perhaps Justice League movie but still... it is going to happen in already established universe, so it is difficult to at least imagine anything more awaited than BvS.

    The closer we get to BvS, the more excited I'm getting about Justice League.
