Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill appeared on Good Morning America early today to talk about Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. We didn't get the "surprise announcement" that GMA teased last week, but we did get an interesting interview.

When asked about the pressure of a huge movie like this, Affleck replied "I really care about it and I want it to do well. I got to work with some really talented people and I’m really proud of what we were able to do."

This part wasn't included in the video interview above, but was in GMA's written piece. It sounds like the armored Batsuit isn't 100% CGI after all. Affleck explained that he was envious of Cavill's lighter Superman costume.

“I had like the plastic regular suit and then the metal suit on top of it and I was fighting Henry and I would just see Henry like having a coffee with his just really nice comfortable Superman suit,” Affleck said.

GMA is also hosting a "Real-Life Super Hero Contest". The winner will win a trip to the premiere of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. You can learn more about that contest here.

    I'm sure that Batfleck got the most screen time in BvS. As long as that character is received well by most people, the movie should make Warner Brothers plenty of money.

    According to this graph, trailer #2 (which is technically the 3rd one) generated more interest than Civil War's 1st. Wow. In fact, so did the teaser trailer and the Comic Con trailer by a long shot.

    I am interested in seeing what kind of reviews Batman v Superman will get. I wouldn't be surprised if it unfairly gets a lot of bad reviews due to the overwhelming unfair bias that a bunch of people have towards DC.

    I still remember reading some of the reviews MoS got, I mean, i'm not saying it's the movie of the century but 56%? Not even close. Especially when some of these reviews included people giving it a bad review even though they said they enjoyed it or the bunch of reviews who gave it a bad review just because it isn't like the Donner Superman, yet they go and give a boring ass movie like Superman Returns a 78% because "oh the nostalgia"..

    Hopefully some of these reviewers are a bit more professional when rating the movie. If the movie is bad then by all means, give it bad reviews, but don't give it bad reviews because it's the current trend to "hate on DC" or because it's not Donner's Superman or Nolan's Batman. I can already tell Donna Dickens from Hitfix will give it a bad review. It's people like this who are clearly hating on the film for the sake of hating it that piss me off. It's painfully obvious that she is already hell bent on giving it a bad review even though it's not even out yet.

      It's the good and the bad with the increase in technology and access. More people reading/watching means more opportunities for more people to write, whether they're truly well equipped to from a professional standpoint or not. Just have to take the good with the bad and get ready because this movie will kick some major ass.

      I think the film will be as Divisive as Watchmen, but will get the extra bump due to Affleck and Jessie's performances as Batman/Wayne and Lex Luthor respectively. Look at social network, movie was a sleeper hit because people heard that Eisenberg was great in the film. Same with alot of Affleck films.

      I can see it beginning with high 70's RT rating but eventually getting a high 80 or possibly low 90's rating

      What really scares me is the fact that Star Wars: TFA STILL has a 90% on RT. A movie with a rehashed plot of the first one and played things safe. I thought critics would be leaning towards bolder change-ups in films, but it seems that after Roger Ebert passed, critics really don't like to think outside of what's been done. Roger Ebert gave Watchmen 4/4 btw and praised it for breaking the average superhero mold. The very thing that we expect/want BvS to do.

    Guy Latino Review posted an article about this whole shabang. It states that while BvS may not be bad, it will be as polarizing as MoS. I know LR is not a good source at all.....but still starting to feel a bit shaky in thr knees.....I just wanted this movie to be good

      films going against the grain get polarising opinions. without them the genre they represent wont grow. i personally would choose watchmen(65% on rt) over gotg(91%) 10/10 times. many would state the exact opposite. polarising or not, when it comes to art critics and opinions are worthless

        I find it funny how James Gunn compared GotG to Deadpool. He actually thinks his movie was a new take on the Superhero genre. It is one of the most cliche'd, formulaic movies I've seen.

          I kinda agree. GotG did take a big risk in getting unknowns onto the big screen, but there was nothing really advanced conceptually with the film and they really forced the whole "hey we're assholes" a bit way too much. It was enjoyable though, and sometimes safest is best.

          yea. it's the most lazily written film in a while. all the back-stories and explanations were done through exposition. characters were made to explain everything happening on screen. pretty clearly it was aimed at kids. aaanddd the lead actor being chris pratt didnt help

    I remember Synder (or someone) mentioning how there's still humor in the movie. Not farce, I don't think, or rapid-fire wisecracking (ahem), but I'm sure they've sprinkled some in to ease tension in places. A little goes a long way.

    60% critic rating and 85% audience rating. That's my prediction for BvS. Critics can hold onto their beloved "opinions". In Perry's voice, "You don't get to decide what's right for movie fans".

      Funny how audience score can be so much different than critic score. Man of Steel got 56% based on critics score but the audience score was the same as the first Thor movie at about 75%. Odd that such a "divisive" movie can have 75% of viewers enjoy it.

      Should do more than that. Superman and Batman are the most popular heroes, and them fighting is worth a lot of seats! Besides the fact that the previous 2 Batman movies made over a billion, and Bats is currently the most popular hero across every single medium (video games, animated movies/series, comic books, etc.). The reception will be crucial to this movie's success. It needs the good reviews to have the legs.

        It's that last part that's key. I believe a less than stellar word-of-mouth is what prevented MoS from hitting $1billion. Even TDK Rises barely broke a billion (which was a perfectly decent film by most standards), but here's hoping this film is up to snuff.

      From what I see, the hate comes from a loud-mouthed minority. Normally people would check this movie out by the name alone. Hell, even my grandpa, who has no clues whatsoever about DC or Marvel or the current superhero trend, wants to see this movie because it's Superman and Batman. Mind you, those haters will go see the movie. Fans are definitely going to see the movie. And hardcore DC fans like us will see it multiple times. Btw, if this movie turns out awesome like i think it will, word of mouth would get more and more people to see it. And no ways in hell this movie can flop at the oversea box office. Believe it or not, foreigners aren't too infatuated with rumors and hating on things like movies based on critics and shit. No ways this movie is gonna flop. Worry not friend!!! ^^

        Well said!.....your comment reminds me of a guy I met who was from Germany, and we were talking about Superhero movies. I showed him both the latest BvS and Civil War trailer and he said he liked both, but was very much more looking forward to BvS due to Superman and Batman being on screen for the first time. He never once mentioned any type of criticism. Mind you, I showed him the trailer where Doomsday appeared, and he was very well aware of who Doomsday was. It is very likely most foreigners feel the same way about BvS.

          Devin Faraci and Mcweeny are the sources of this current hate. People (especially writers on many websites that need topics to write about so they can get more clicks) believe them readily because DCEU isn't as established as the MCU.

          There's no point in reading these articles. Most of these people thought DC will be doomed 3 years back when Affleck, Gal and Jesse were cast in their respective roles. You couldn't go to a single CBM website without seeing DC hate. The tables have turned now, but some idiots tried to stir up more shit. They'll be proved wrong again.
          Just stop wasting your time reading their baseless crap, it'll only get you down.

            Hate to kill your buzz, but yes while more people will want to see BvS, the ratio of people who will see/won't see favors Civil War by a good margin. But this also means that WB doesn't have to worry about large scale turnout. They'll get their money back.

          Because Deadpool and Civil War have nothing to prove its DC/WB who is hanging by a thread thanks to the MoS fiasco.
          Marvel has proven itself over and over minus some setbacks (yeah looking at you Iron Man 3),hard to believe DC/WB wasnt smart enough to get rid of Snyder when they saw what Snyder did with MoS.

      By continuing to talk about and pour over negative stories like this with little substance to them you can create a self-fulfilling phrophecy and make the movie do worse in theaters. If all the word of mouth and chatter about this movie is this doom and gloom, oh no what if it sucks?!! talk then you will effectively kill all positive buzz for this movie in the mainstream and underground news. So since we have the power to control what gets put in the spotlight and discussed ad nauseum about this movie, let's use it to anticipate the movie with an open mind and perhaps a pinch of excitement if we can muster that seeing these two and Wonder Woman share the big screen for the first time. I'm telling you, if we keep discussing this rather than talking positively then all the media will report is like "Doubt continues to grow concerning BVS" etc. We as fans sharing thoughts online have a bigger effect on a movie building momentum to its release than many realize, so keep that in my mind fellow Batfans.

    Chris, or someone please educate me how sites make money. I get that clicks equal money but how far fetched would it be that you could research what gets the most views on the web, develop a website, and then post something about said topic- all in an effort to cash in on the film. Or at the same rate, if I own a website, can I see what is getting the high traffic over the entire web and then just copy and paste an article to get hits? Is this how it works?

    I just don't get it. I have never seen anything like this. It's like the entire internet from Yahoo, to MovieWeb, to whatever.com has declared war on this film and it makes me sick.

      Nah, I came to a conclusion.
      Some weeks ago they came up with hype based on social media and Batman v Superman is 500% above those after it in interest. The clickbaiting people heard.
