Cineplex caught up with Margot Robbie recently to talk about Suicide Squad, which hits theaters this August (it's so awesome to finally be able to say that).
โHarley is creepy, violent, crazy โ all of the things that I aspire to be!โ Robbie jokes during an interview at a suburban Los Angeles hotel. โNo. Itโs the fun of living vicariously through someone who is doing things that I would never do in real life.โ
Robbie was really excited when she found out she'd be working with her Focus co-star Will Smith again, and even tried to peer pressure him into taking the Suicide Squad role.
โI enjoyed working with Will so, so much that I was overjoyed when I heard that we would be working together again,โ she enthuses. โI actually texted him when I heard he was in negotiations to be in Suicide Squad and kept peer-pressuring him, โYouโd better be taking this movie!โ He obviously signed on for his own reasons, but I was so incredibly happy that we got to do Round Two. Heโs awesome on set and awesome off set. Heโs just a really, really good person.โ
Cineplex also caught up with Superman himself Henry Cavill who had a few words about the mixed reaction that Man of Steel received.
โThe reception of my first Superman movie, from what Iโve read, was fairly mixed,โ the English actor says via phone from New York. โEveryone Iโve spoken to enjoyed the movie, but [not] unlike if youโre going to meet a stranger in the street, theyโre not going to badmouth you to your face. Thereโs no intentional move, I donโt think, in Batman v. Superman to address any issues that people had with Man of Steel. Itโs just a continuation of that storyline and they continue to develop that world and introduce new characters.โ
