'Aquaman' producer says director James Wan is a serious fan (video)

Just when we thought Collider's video interviews with DCEU producer Charles Roven were over, they hit us with one more! This time Roven gave an update on Aquaman.

"We’re very early days. We’re just starting with the screenplay. He’s making The Conjuring 2 now, so he’s had his hand in the creation of let’s just call it a working document from which to write. But he’s directing that film [and] he’s got his hand ever so slightly in the development, but he’s really gonna throw himself into it after he finishes shooting Conjuring 2. And we’re planning on it being his film after Conjuring 2. He is a serious Aquaman fan."

It's great to hear that Wan is a big Aquaman fan. It was recently announced that he'll be working with his The Conjuring 2 writer David Leslie Johnson on the script for Aquaman. The movie starring Jason Momoa is scheduled for a July 27, 2018 release.

And anyone who heard Zack Snyder's call-in to that Detroit radio show will know what a fan of Aquaman he is as well. Not sure how they all got to be fans of Aquaman unless it was when he had the cool harpoon hand, but at least they're enthusiastic about the project.

I honestly can't wait to see James's take on aquaman but,it's great we are going to see the character in bvs and jl part one before his solo.

I can't wait to see all this Aquaman greatness on the big screen, especially with Momoa as Aquaman. James Wan doing the Trench for the solo could be awesome!

  You mentioned a list of marvel movies that sucked and claimed the directors were fans of those characeters or 'into them' even though there WEREN'T and you just pulled that out of your ass. The Daredevil director admitted not being into making that movie, and Josh Trank wasn't interested either.
  So, obviously you're full of shit as if that was evident to us by now.
  Of course everyone's in it for the money, they even make movies for the money. That come off as a surprise to you, trollboy? Just because they get paid for it doesn't mean they can't enjoy film making, or be fans of the characters they're working on.
  Everyone here has enough common sense to know when someone in an interview is faking it, and clearly Charles Roven had NO reason whatsoever to claim James Wan is a 'serious Aquaman fan' unless he really IS one. Only fake ass people like you think everyone else has that mentality.
