Rumor: Ben Affleck's Batman movie to feature Red Hood and Joker as villains

Ben Affleck is reportedly directing, starring in, and writing his very own Batman movie. And while it's not 100% confirmed at this point, Affleck did admit recently that he would love to take that project on. Now Joblo claims to know story details about the movie commonly referred to as The Batman.

To put it simply: Red Hood will play a major role in it, especially for Bruce Wayne/Batman. A while back Latino Review ran a scoop that Red Hood was a "priority" character and that lines up with what we've heard as well. Our sources indicate that Red Hood will be a key player in the first new solo Batman film, which is said to be adapting both the "A Death in the Family" and "Under The Hood" storylines from the comics. Essentially, Red Hood is DC’s answer to Marvel’s Winter Soldier; former sidekicks gone evil and seeking a chance at redemption.

The rumored storyline for The Batman is that Jason Todd, a former Robin, comes back from the dead (Lazarus Pit?) and pretends to be Batman in all the wrong ways, making him look like a criminal. He leaves clues about his true identity for Bruce Wayne to find, leading up to a confrontation that will include Batman, Red Hood, and Jared Leto's Joker. Nightwing will also be a main character to help Batman even the odds.

Take this as a rumor for now, but I thought it was worth sharing because Joblo just nailed a major Marvel scoop. It's possible they have sources in high places over at Warner Bros. as well.

Okay, I know this might be a bit of a stretch, but do you guys think that maybe Jason Todd is already in BvS and he's the one going around making Batman look bad, which is what prompts the government, and Superman, to go after him.....and we find out towards the end of the movie, which sets up the Batman solo flick. I mean I'm betting that "You let your family die" was him, so that means he's already around trying to mess with Bruce and get back at him. The branding on that thug and the shooting with the Batwing could have all been Jason Todd. They could incorporate it as a minor subplot, and if well done can actually work without taking too much attention away from the Batman and Superman battle. What do you guys think...

Will they still keep parts of the Crisis on Infinite Earth's post storyline, and will they create Crisis on Infinite Earths in the future. That's not a carbon copy like the Watchmen movie, but it has the overall idea like 1970s Thanos War and Adam Magus and the Universal Church of Truth of 1000 worlds, 1990s Thanos Quest, Infinity Gauntlet, Infinity Watch, Infinity War, and Infinity Crusade with Avengers Infinity War parts 1 and 2. Crisis on Infinite Earths can be sort of a sequel and prequel because didn't Earth change a lot when being merged with other worlds. The Earth (Earth-One) in Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and Justice League Parts 1 and 2 can be the merged Earth, that merged with 4 other Earths that just combines programming while everything is rearranged like a puzzle, while they can get into the sequel prequel that is Crisis on Infinite Earths also to explain that merger. That's what I think would be an issue of the confusion of how that would happen when they want to work with the same world and Universe instead of changing it, except now they can do that because it's already been changed since 2013's Man of Steel. Superman before that event became Superman sooner, but Superboy Prime from Earth-Prime became Superman much sooner. That's also so they don't have to change the costumes and how the events take place in the Universe they currently have. Superboy Prime, post Crisis on Infinite Earths, could have already punched reality that lead to the resurrection of Jason Todd when Superboy Prime broke himself out of a dimension he was trapped in. Earth-One was originally the core reality, but rogue Guardian Krona fractured reality at the Dawn of Creation with forbidden Oan technology to create the Multiverse and the Antimatter Universe. Earth-Prime then became the center reality, but was destroyed by Anti-Monitor. Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, and Forever Evil/Forever Evil: Arkham War can come later to maintain Earth-One without it shifting realities again. Crisis on Infinite Earths can be released as a two or three parter in 2020 to 2021, or 2020, 2021, and 2022 while having a combined production in 2018 after the success of a few of those movies. Crisis on Infinite Earths began the modern canon in the 1980s that led to DC's best stories from the 1980s and 1990s, but also that canon goes into the modern stories to now like Batman's newer stories of Damian Wayne, Sensei, Red Hood, the new Court of Owls with Talon, Suicide Squad, etc. The Death and Return of Superman story arc came after Crisis on Infinite Earths, as did Emerald Twilight and Final Night, Knightfall trilogy, Azrael 100 issue run, Superman/Doomsday Hunter/Prey, modern Justice Society of America, Thy Kingdom Come, The Kingdom, and Kingdom Come. There's two to three parters, and for other story arcs they can create combined productions that could play in the same year or within a few years if it confines it too much for two parters in one series, when they can use different series such as solos to attach to other franchises to develop a big story arc without it interfering with their timing. This way they can get in a lot of major stories in much less time to have a powerful movie canon. That could be created after the 2020s.

Ra's Al Ghul is more like a mentor to Bruce Wayne than his enemy. Ra's Al Ghul could have killed off Bruce Wayne a long time ago like what Talia Al Ghul showed Bruce Wayne when she surrounded him in the bat cave with their ninjas. Vandal Savage would be a bigger threat than Ra's Al Ghul, and Vandal Savage is much older. Vandal Savage is more of a Justice League enemy. Batman sticks to his more mortal strength when he goes against Gotham villains, but he has scientific equipment and tools when against the most powerful enemies as a Justice League member. Ra's Al Ghul will pit his skills against Bruce Wayne, and with those Ra's Al Ghul recruits he pits against Bruce Wayne such as when Ra's Al Ghul mentors Bane. Whenever those of the League of Assassins like Ra's, Sensei, and Talia challenge Batman it's also apart of teaching Batman. They appeared again to Batman after he had several close calls with Azrael, The Sacred Order of Saint Dumas, and Bane. While the League of Assassins appeared as enemies to Bruce Wayne when they entered, they did it to continue to teach him and train him as adversaries. Bruce Wayne had to get more training from the assassin Shiva after he recovered from his broken back with paranormal healing from a paranormal specialist. The League of Assassins doubted that Bruce Wayne could stand on his own going into Apocalyptic times where mankind was headed. Bruce Wayne developed to be able to handle those times, but only after his experiences with League of Assassins. The League of Assassins had a lot to do with Bruce Wayne's foundation in how to thrive and survive. Bruce Wayne's challenge against the League of Assassins are his skills and his internal challenges because he considered he might have to resort to their evil in the future, but he was able to prevent that with expert sharpening.

If they don't get into Death and Return of Superman story arc by Justice League parts 1 and 2, they can create Crisis on Infinite Earths (not a carbon copy) to play in 2020 and 2021 (or 2020, 2021, and 2022), followed by the Death and Return of Superman story arc, Emerald Twilight, and Final Night that gets into the 8 other power sources of the Green Lantern Corps. Infinite Crisis, Final Crisis, Flashpoint, and any other major Omniverse changes could have already taken place in the near future for the Warner Brothers DC Omniverse, other time alterations could have already taken place, and the current Universe they have for the movies beginning with Man of Steel can already be modified from those other Omniverse transformations. When those other events take place, it can take place with previous Omniverses. This makes it to where continuity for the Warner Brothers DC movies can be more fluid, and it's really cool that all of those complex changes have already taken place that gives a much deeper science to the movies. It makes the movies a lot more flexible. Kara Zor-El died in Crisis on Infinite Earths, but it was reset where she is alive when everything is changed after the 5 Earths merged. Crisis on Infinite Earths can show that more archetypical heroic Superman and Supergirl, but with the current movie canon beginning in Man of Steel it explains why they're much different in this reality. You can also see all out Supergirl for Crisis on Infinite Earths, because it's going to take longer to develop this reality's Supergirl since they haven't introduced her yet. Even though those Omniverses no longer exist, as it's now of the manifestation of the reality they've shown since Man of Steel, their stories are still highly relevant as it led to the manifestation of the reality they'll be showing for the Warner Brothers DC movie canon. Because those events of those previous Omniverses took place as a gradual evolution in the Omniverse development, that explains how the modern Omniverse since Man of Steel has developed like an Omniverse transformation history. Time alterations happen in the same way where the time alterations have already happened for the modern reality but there was a linear process of clocked alterations, and time also has an age to it for the linear time alterations. That gives more time to figure out where to put characters and why. The distinct personalities of the different Omniverse transformation stages give a lot of different sides to the heroes and villains that can't always be shown in one manifestation version.

I would explain that New 52 is the interaction of 51 DC alternate realities (alternate Universes) with eachother and with the other 1, the DC center Universe, of the DC Omniverse/DC Observable Universe that gets into the deeper science of their interaction with other dimensions in them, but that there's from 1000s to billions of DC alternate Universes that compose the DC Omniverse/Observable Universe. That's also based on the science I've looked at with NASA, where I think the Universe is much smaller in the center as a blip in a photo of the Observable Universe, and the rest of the Observable Universe are thousands to billions of alternate Universes that clock algorithms with time alterations for the center Universe to be optimal. I think at most a Universe will have 1000 galaxies including dwarf galaxies currently, mostly dwarf galaxies with up to 28 spiral galaxies, and that the top secret government has removed parts of the photo that would reveal most of the formations of each Universe. The center Universe is in the center of an Observable Universe as a blip in size compared to the Observable Universe. The Observable Universe itself is said to have atleast 500 billion galaxies, but it's of question of the equipment can pick up on all of the light in the Observable Universe to capture a picture of all galaxies to know for sure if there's only 500 billion galaxies. If an Observable Universe has 500 billion galaxies, then there could be 499,999,999 alternate realities and 1 center reality but that's a rough estimate if each of those have 1000 galaxies in them, mostly dwarf galaxies with 28 spiral galaxies an alternate Universe and in a center Universe. Possibly there are copies like alternate Omniverses where I've heard of a similar idea of DC with alternate Multiverses. would be great to finally see a full gotham city cast; i mean sidekicks, villains and all. we have yet to see a batman in his prime on screen. i hope they focus less on the surprise (cause it's not a surprise anymore) and more on a good action story.

The whole "Red Hood is DC’s answer to Marvel’s Winter Soldier" part in the rumor is probably the best reason why they shouldn't even brother with this. I mean, can't they just do a story from Batman's 75 year history that can't be defined as "DC's answer to Marvel" by the inevitable trolls.

I hope this isn't true.

No matter what DC does the trolls will always find something to say and relate it back to marvel. This should not stop the DCEU from making a quality story with Red Hood just because of what marvel trolls might say. Besides, once the DCEU starts rolling next year, marvel will be seen for what it has mostly been and that is mediocre at best, and their also diluting their cinematic universe with so many subpar movies. If the trailers of the BvS is any indication of the quality in its product, the DCEU will surely be seen as the blue print for a comic book cinematic universe.

  They also water down their powerful superheroes (such as Thor) and villains (Ultron) because they don't want to bother doing it the hard way and finding ways of fitting them into their CU alongside characters like Black Widow and Hawkeye, and then put out FALSE, misleading trailers. Zack Snyder deserves RESPECT for establishing characters TRUE to the comics. Superman will be nearly as strong as his comic book counterpart, and I'm sure so will most heroes and villains. DC didn't do it the easy way by weakening their characters and also took on the challenge of introducing them in a realistic world. The only people who complain about DC's cinematic formula of introducing most of the JL before their solo movies are marvel fanboys who're pissed that DC has the advantage over marvel of utilizing their characters' popularity and use that as a shortcut.

This would be great. But that last addition to the rumor "Red Hood is DC’s answer to Marvel’s Winter Soldier" sickens me. DC can be announced without the use of the word Marvel. Besides, both stories came a month apart. Who and the frack can steal anothers idea and release them months apart? Still, Marveldudes will say DC has stolen this story concept.

I think a Red Hood movie would be fantastic and not rehashing another batman vs his rogues, It would really flesh out this Batman further and emphasize why the justice league is not important in this movie, because this would be batman's story a private affair. It would also be bad ass to see an established Dick Grayson and Tim Drake and how they deal with the idea of a rogue Robin trying to prove that he is the better and exact his vengeance against Joker... I would just hope that this adaption of Red Hood wouldn't be like the Arkham Knight and attempt to treat us like Idiots, waiting to the last moment for a reveal everyone saw coming from the first 30 minutes in the game... Make the reveal early but make it a surprise for the people who still have no idea... And I would hate for a retread of the Under the Red Hood Animated Film, surprise us!!!
