Sorry Val Kilmer and George Clooney, Chris O'Donnell reveals his favorite Batman actor

Chris O'Donnell was the Robin to Val Kilmer's Batman in Batman Forever and George Clooney's Batman in Batman & Robin, but neither are his favorite Batman actor. O'Donnell revealed his favorite Batman in a new interview with FOX411.

FOX411: Being you starred in the "Batman" franchise, who is your favorite actor to play the title character past or present?
O’Donnell: For me it will always be Adam West. I loved the show. I just watched a documentary about him and his career and facing the challenge of being Batman. I worked with two very talented actors: Val [Kilmer] and George. We had a lot of fun George and I, but the film was a disaster.

Adam West was flattered by the news, and shared his thoughts about it on Twitter:

I like how pretty much everyone involved with Batman & Robin admit that it was a mess. Makes a nice change from directors, actors, and writers trying to defend their bad films.

Adam West would've been my very first introduction to Batman when I was old enough to even hold my head up. It was goofy, but I still have a soft spot for the old 66 show.

Your Daddy and Thea being the same person was the last thing I expected. What's odd is that if you look back at our confrontations with Your Daddy, Thea was never present. She came back later. If you look back, you will not find Thea and Your Daddy commenting at the same time.

I love Christian Bale-Batman but Val Kilner was always the total package. Both an awesome Bruce and Batman. Still love the Schumacher films. Me and my little brother loved that relationship between Batman and Robin. Chris O'Donnell was an excellent Robin.

It has always been about personal choice and preference for Batman actors, some we're decent some weren't. Also I think it's a generational thing as well, older generations tend to like Adam West more than younger generations. For me Kevin Conroy is still my favorite(even though he's just a voice), Keaton is still my favorite live screen, Bale is a close second.
Now the thing with Bale though, I always felt he was a really good Bruce Wayne, I liked him less in the suit. However all this might be a moot point if Affleck turns out as good as I think he will, than Ben might be taking my top spot.

Lets set the record straight. Objectively Bale is the best Batman actor. Sure his Batman is not accurate (so were the rest). However, he gave a really good tortured and charming performance if required. I agree he is a better Bruce than Batman. Plus Ben is better than Bale based on the trailers for BVS alone.
For now, Bale is still the reigning champion. Everybody happy?

  Don't shit on Bale man. He portrayed Bruce Wayne to perfection to every territory possible considering the vast tonal shifts in each of the three films.
  Bale was beast in Begins. When he interrrogates "WHERE ARE THE OTHER DRUGS GOING??" if that's not Batman I don't know what is. He fought pretty well with the Assassins and his TDK/TDKR suit hindered a lot of movement. Know this, Bale practiced actual keysi for TDK.
  And no car chase is as epic as the Tumbler mowing skylines, with Bale skilfully at the helm.
