Gal Gadot impressed everyone in the room during her Wonder Woman audition for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but she almost didn't have that chance!

While speaking to Israeli website Xnet, Gadot spoke about how important karma is in her life, and she gave a very revealing reason why! Here's a rough translation via Bing Translator:

When I was 4 months pregnant with (my daughter) Alma, I got an offer to play the villain character in Superman. If I wasn't pregnant I'd take the job, and there's no way they would take me now to be Wonder Woman.

Faora-Ul

Based on Gadot's comments, it sounds to me like she was offered the role of Faora in Man of Steel. A role that ultimately ended up going to Antje Traue instead.

This just goes to show you that everything happens for a reason! If Gadot wasn't pregnant, she would have taken that Man of Steel role and never had a chance to be Wonder Woman -- a much bigger (and more lucrative) part.

      They must have really sucked. We all cried too. Gall's only the second worst casting of all time though and was the second worst audition out of who they looked at.

      Snyder murdered Superman, now he's doing it to all of DC.

      It's really too bad Antje wasn't Wonder Woman. She'd have been world better than Gall Gagot Waifer Woman. Looks more like the character, easily, and is a better actress, easily.

    Stories like this always intrigues me because their so abundant in Hollywood. I mean if Henry Cavill landed any of the many roles he missed out on (James Bond, Edward Cullen, Superman in Bryan Singer's Superman Returns) he could never have been Zack Snyder's Superman.

    And Antje Traue was a badass Faora so we fans didn't lose out on that thankfully.
