FOX releases 'Gotham' Season 2 poster, plus first look at new villains

Gotham returns for Season 2 on Monday, September 21st, and today FOX released the first poster and photos of new villains. The poster features all your favorite characters from Season 1, including a look at Bruce Wayne and the Batcave, but it also features some new faces.

Those belong to new villains Theo Galvan (True Blood's James Frain), a billionaire who claims to want to save the city from itself, and his sister Tabitha (Gracepoint's Jessica Lucas), who may be better known to comic book fans as the supervillain Tigress, says The Hollywood Reporter.

RDJ was rushed to sign ridiculously big contract to appear in Cap Am 3 after WB announced BvS, so yeah.
DC puts a piece of paper announcing their entire movie slate, Marvel makes a whole presentation as a counterpart...

  She means BvS is not officially a sequel to MoS. It's an expansion as Zack said, and Superman will get another standalone which will be MoS 2.

      If we do get a sequel to BvS, it can't be versus, it'll be more along the lines of a full on team up and can be called "The World's Finest."

  Why do you even bother? Marvel fans need to grow up someday and then possibly realize that Avengers are nothing more than colorful and childish portrayal of what they've never even read about.   Can't say the same for Superman... Jessie...I just can't see it...
  The little dialog we got isn't bad nor is his acting in general ... It's just, I feel, that's not the role for him. When he spoke he didn't sound menacing or anything... Just cringe worthy from my end...
  He also seemed so out of place... Alfred, Bruce, Clark, etc. all seem right except Lex...
  Should have cast someone like Matt Damon to play the role of Lex 'f--king' Luthor, man.
  Someone like Matt who's a great actor especially when playing the villain, but Jessie?
  I just don't see it. Maybe I have to wait for the film... but that's bad if he hasn't already won me over through a trailer, you know? Anyway, awesome picture.

The thing is (and a lot of people already pointed that out to you) that you mention only the financial gain of this franchises, which has nothing to do with quality. Also, you are forgeting that when WB was realising their movies 30 years ago, it was much harder for them as they were viewed as "kids' movies". After 30 years they managed to ultimately make the world understand the potential depth and quality of this movies, but by then Marvel showed up and tried (and sadly succeded) to reverse this process.
  Now, if you want to say thay Marvel-Disney is more financially successful than DC, then ok, they made more money. You win! BUT, you are forgetting 2 things. A)DC didn't have the chance to prove you what an amazing Extended Universe she can have and B) a large part of the DC movies (Dark Knight Trilogy, Vertigo Imprints, MoS) isn't aimed towards children. Their movies' sole purpose isn't to please kids (who make most of Disney's box office) but to produce good movies.
  So yeah, MCU has made more money than DC (8,8>5,6 billion), but you gotta ask yourself as a normal moviegoer and not a Disney shareholder: "Is it really all that matters?"

      Then, for the 100th time, MCU began making superhero movies AFTER THEY BECAME MAINSTREAM! There is no way one of their movies won't make any money as there is no way any of the upcoming DC movies won't make any money.         You can't even accept how bad thor2, IM2,3 and other MCU films are. And I don't think that the studio that made the dark knight trilogy, v for vendetta, watchmen, a history of violence, etc is a family-friendly.
        Unlike Disney and their abomination of a franchise that is afraid to even kill off ONE FUCKING CHARACTER because the kids will start crying. Now go on and live your life with your brain switched off, thinking that the only movies that are worthy of our attention are mindless action flicks like Age of Dultron and Transformers (and I really wouldn't be able to tell the diferrence between these 2 films if RDJ wasn't in every single frame of the former).

Gotham is definitely one of the happiest surprises on TV for me. I went in with almost zero expectations and it delivered more and more as the season progressed. Good casting, smart writing and a slick modern married to Gothic vision of the city have done the job.

  I agree. Gordon, Bullock, and Penguin were the stars of the show. It was really great to see Morena Baccarin join the show, when Arkham Asylum was introduced. I've been a fan of her ever since Firefly.

  Superhero movies and mega franchises are super big right now in a a way that they weren't 20 or 30 years ago. That's cool.
  There's a reason Marvel couldn't launch a mega franchise until 2008- it wouldn't have been possible before then. There's a reason Disney went all in with their Marvel mega franchise (and why they're now going all in with Star Wars)- they needed to recoup their five-billion investment as quickly as possible.
  I get your criticism and your analysis, I just think it's faulty until you consider the social and economic factors involved.
