On Monday night, we saw Suicide Squad set photos and videos that showed the Batmobile chasing The Joker in his purple sports car. During last night's shoot, it appears that Batman finally caught up with him!
In the newly released set videos, you can see Batman on top of The Joker's car as he speeds around the city. Check out a HD video of the action above, and another of Batman in between takes below.

I've seen lots of videos of this shooting. Suicide Squad is really generating a lot of hype!
I'd love to see someone piece everything together just before the movie comes out and see if it matches the end product.

If Superman deserves a CGI cape, so does Batman! (Plus, then you can have the enormous Jim Aparo-style cape that's the size of a car cover.)
YH, that's what i was hoping for, and hopefully we have a shot where bat is covered head to toe in his cape with just his face showing

I think that is the main reason for a cgi cape in this scene. As long as it looks real then no probs.
Im ok with a CGI cape, but I think when they can, They should always use a real one. For instance in this scene, They could have easily used a real cape. It would have added another element. That actually really stood out to me in TDKtrilogy, The real cape in a lot of scenes. But this isn't TDKtrilogy is it;)

They're taking a Snyder approach, the cape usually is edited in after shooting, Man Of Steel Henry really didn't have a cape on in any of the action shots
yeah there's another video of him on top of the car with the cape too so it'll probably be a mix between practical and CGI. Seems to be the approach for most of this movie which I like

They were able to use real capes during the truck/ Bat-Pod chase in The Dark Knight without any problems. Shame they have to go the CGI route now.

there are some shots of this scene with the stunt batman WITH a cape while riding on the back of jokers car as well. so i think it will be a mix of real and cgi. possibly using the real as a guide of how it really flutters in the wind or something? i don't know. i saw it on Comicbookmovie . com

I'm preaching to the converted here, I know, but the hate for it astounds me. It's grounded in pure stupidity. Even without Leto or Affleck in the costumes themselves seeing that Bat costume perched on top of a car with a Joker with white skin and green hair in a white suit should be enough to give any Batman fan chills.

Some people just want a reason to be against it, so they kinda nitpick or find the things that they don't totally agree with and just rip them like they're the bases of the whole movie and will totally ruin it or something. I think its more a thing that they've already made up their mind and they're looking for things to support their hatred towards it -.-

Ehh not true. Don't get me wrong, I'm excited as you are, but there's certainly more leaks than usual compared to other projects like this.
1. We've seen deformed soldiers of some sort.
2. The Batman cameo's out of the bag.
3. There's been "Some" leaked audio between Joker and Harley, particularly we know just how thick Margot Robbie's accent is.
4. We've seen Deadshot flirt with Harley in those pics of him holding her (So love triangle essentially confirmed)
Compare this to the amount of leaked footage that came out of Nolan, Snyder or even J.J. Abrams' Star Wars. And the "Real filmmaking" thing only goes so far. Warner Bros was able to shut down all of Time Square down for a few days when I am Legend was filming, I think they could do something for F-ing Toronto.
The leaks are no doubt intentional. Suicide Squad doesn't have the star power of Batman or Superman, so this is a cheap and effective way to win the attention of general audiences.
1. Deformed soldiers - Yeah, so? Do you know what impact they have on the plot, or even what they are?
2. Let's be honest, you should have been expecting a Batman cameo in a movie starring the Suicide Squad, his arch-nemesis, and Arkham Asylum. If this "ruins" anything for you, that's likely a personal problem.
3. We've heard one line from Margot Robbie and seen Joker's mannerisms. Again, what impact does this have on the plot?
4. This is irrelevant as well. It was pretty much assumed that part of the reason they casted Smith and Robbie for those roles was their chemistry together.
Again, why would they want to shut down Toronto? This shit is already all over the Internet, showing people who have no idea what the Suicide Squad is that Batman and the Joker are in it, in addition to major players like Will Smith. The movie will effectively sell itself.
The key here is that they don't seem to be concerned about letting out leaks; if they truly wanted to, they could, like WFC said, shut down multiple blocks for filming. It's not really that difficult or impossible to avoid.
The Joker might also appear in BvS.

Haven't seen this fan art posted here before but it's great even if the face should be a bit more white. As someone who REALLY didn't like the tattoos at first I'm sold with this Joker, I think he's gonna be brilliant.

Aesthetically, Leto's Joker is also the best looking playboy type Joker than any other incarnation of Joker. Will be interesting to see his character development in this version.

If Ayer and Warners were smart though, all the leaked shots should be used in the first trailer. Just show us a higher quality version of what we've already seen and nothing else. Keep the rest a mystery. No need to blow their wad with the rest yet.

I think I'm more shocked than angry about it. I think after Nolan, Snyder and various other directors' mystery about their projects it's practically otherworldly that we're seeing this many leaks.
Last time I heard it'll supposedly be done around late July/ early August.

Yeah, except the Miller Justice League was going to be 100% CGI because the special effects weren't good enough a decade ago to do it in live action. The same was true of Fury Road, a decade ago it was going to be a CGI animated film instead of live action.
There's a rumor WB will use Miller on Justice League and keep Snyder on Man of Steel 2, but nothing has been confirmed. Probably still trying to figure out if they want to make a sequel to Mad Max or not. If anything, George Miller will be serving in a consulting role for the DC projects. He was spotted on the Suicide Squad last month.
Some years ago I read somewhere that the script of that JL movie had leaked. Is that real? Anyone read it? Was it good?
I've read a synopsis. It was heavily influenced by the Brother Eye storyline. Maxwell Lord was the villain. The script was never actually completed due to a writer's strike, but there was a draft circulating online a few years ago.
This site linked to a leaked draft of the script back in 2013, but it was quickly pulled by the studio. Reading through some of the comments makes me think we dodged a bullet. The script was apparently pretty awful, but then again the script was never actually finished, which is one of the many reasons the movie got cancelled.
1) There are 3 more Mad Max movies coming g up all 3 are confirmed.
2) They just can't push aside Snyder like that, he has already made truckloads of brainstorming and pre production of JL movies and DCCU.
3) Maybe George Miller might helm Justice League Dark (as Del Toro said he's not sure if he might direct it)
4) Or he's just one of the brain trust member of DCCU.
1) Miller and Hardy are both contracted for three more Mad Max films, but nothing has been confirmed. It's looking likely though, since the box office continues to be strong globally.
2) They wouldn't be pushing Snyder aside. They would either assign him to Man of Steel 2 or get Miller as a co-director (theoretically). And honestly, the studio can do whatever they want. They've already pushed aside David Goyer from the DCCU in favor of Chris Terrio (at the request of Ben Affleck). WB is generally pretty loyal to their talent, so they'll be very generous to Snyder no matter what happens.
3) George Miller could direct anything in the DCCU if the Mad Max franchise doesn't continue.
4) Yes! That's my hope, that Miller is brought on as a creative consultant on all the DCCU projects. Just having him on set for a few days to inspire and challenge the cast the crew.
I don't think Zack Snyder will be taken out of the directors chair from JL movies and by the looks of it Mad Max franchise will be continued for sure.
So Miller is most probably one among the key players in shaping DCCU.
Hopefully he'll replace the brain of David Goyer who disrespected one of DC Comics most beloved characters, Martian Manhunter.
If I ever meet Goyer I'm calling him out for that. I've got this whole thing planned in my head.

What seemed illogical? I watched the YouTube video posted above. I loved the part where the Production Assistant told the crowd, "You have no idea how lucky you are right now." I loved that part so much that I jokingly referred to him as "my new hero."
Seeing the raw footage of Batman riding on top of the Joker's car is really cool to see, to the point I was willing to get hyperbolic with my excitement.
In my book, any film that has the Batman chasing after the Joker and then riding on top of his car is the very definition of "quality."
I might be in the minority with that opinion, but I can't imagine that opinion would be controversial or cause for a rebuttal on Batman fan site.
If you head to comicbookmovie.com there is another vid with his cape on. Think this was a practice run.

Agreed. Batman catching Joker and Harley and sending them to Arkham. It could even be a quick montage at the beginning showing how each of the Squad was first arrested.

The reason I think there will be flashbacks is because of Will Smith with the little girl doing some Christmas (?) shopping. That gave me the indication that this film will have flashback scenes. The Harley/Joker scene with her in regular clothes as well as this chase scene also look like flashbacks.
Totally. I think that scene with Smith in his pedestrian clothes is probably when he's retired and enjoying civilian life, but the Squad forces him back into service.
