CBS just released a 6 minute trailer for their upcoming show, Supergirl!
It's not a bird. It's not a plane. It's not a man. It's Supergirl. In the new drama from the world of DC Comics, Superman's cousin, Kara Zor-El, embraces her superhuman abilities and becomes the hero she was always meant to be. This Fall on CBS.
Supergirl will go head-to-head with Gotham on Monday nights starting this fall.

She is technically older than superman, but I do not believe that he or Kal really age when in the spaceship. Because her ship took a large detour on the way to earth, he is older.

The narration from the main character has been a CW staple for a long time.
Not really a CW staple. More like something that is done in almost every issue of every hero centered comic book. Happens all the time in Green Lantern and Flash especially and even then it gets old.

Yeah I like that it has the same tone as Arrow. Screen Junkies who complain that DC is "all dark" can suck it now. Yet I do like their "Movie Fights" show on Sundays. But seriously, shut up Screen Junkies.
Wasn't liking it at first, and then all of a sudden it got great. Some spotty dialogue but the effects look brilliant and that kind of stuff irons out.
I like some parts of it, but after watching DareDevil I can't help but feel like CBS set the bar extremely low? Like "Teen-Drama" low?
Okay, Daredevil was good, but it does NOT NEED TO COME UP when discussing every show on television, particularly not light hearted superheroes on network TV that we haven't even seen yet. So overhyped, I'm sorry, honest opinion.

It's not even so much that, Daredevil is just massively overhyped. It was great, but people treat it like it was a heavenly gift which is factually better than every other show ever made simply because it's a dark Marvel property, which, frankly, it wasn't.
And it IS because it's a superhero/Marvel show. No one comments on trailers "wow after watching Game of Thrones I forgot shows like this could still be made" or at least far fewer do, because it's not as much as a bandwagon thing.
Don't forget Agents of Shield which lost to the Flash in ratings!

The action scenes look like they'll be really good. However, everything else appears pretty mediocre. Not sure if there will be enough to appeal to a 27 year old male or not. I will wait and see...

It's all opinion based, but Daredevil's overhyped- still really good- and because it's Marvel, and it's dark- but heaven forbid DC do that- everyone jumped on its bandwagon, which alongside the fanboys entailed hating every other show on air. The Disney way.

Can we stop comparng? They are different shows, all of them! The Flash rocks as a fun show, Daredevil rocks as a dark show, this Supergirl will rock as a comedy-drama aimed at girls, there's nothing wrong with that!
Same category, but totally different. The Flash is much lighter, which is supposed to be light, considering that Flash is more or less comedic character out of Justice League. Daredevil is, tactfully put, more serious and dark character. Or bluntly put, he's Marvel's Batman.
Daredevil is so overrated. I mean, set aside all fanboys wank, I watched one episode and it fell below my expectation of how "great" it's supposed to be. Not that the Flash is better, but Daredevil is certainly not the greatest tv show ever.
