Dwayne Johnson sings about Batman, Bane, and Michael Caine in SNL monologue (video)

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson hosted Saturday Night Live for the 4th time last night. Johnson was the top grossing actor of 2013, and some online outlets gave him the nickname "Franchise Viagra" because of his ability to give struggling movies an extra boost at the box office. The Rock took to the SNL stage last night to sing a song about being Franchise Viagra.

What about the new Batman? "I can play Bane. I'll even play Bruce Wayne. Hell, I'll even play Michael Caine!" The Rock sang. Words don't do it justice though. Check out his funny SNL monologue in the video above.

The Rock will help Warner Bros. launch a DC Universe when he stars as Black Adam in Shazam.

Casting Dwayne Johnson as Bane in The Dark Knight Rises, would've made logical sense. But Nolan had a unique vision. So he cast a medium-sized 5'10" actor, to play a character that's "supposed to be" A LOT bigger than Batman. And Tom Hardy ended up doing a solid job. Sometimes the fanboys should shut their mouths, know their roles, and let the creators create.

  That's actually not true at all. The two characters wouldn't have existed in the same universe. So for instance, Tom Hardy playing Rick Flag, would've been fine.

    I know.. but that's why Tom Hardy opted out of Rick Flag. Since he's already popularly associated with Bane (and he likes to remain it that way), he has no qualms about letting go Flag's role.
    You know how Nolan works. He likes to cast extremely method actors, he's worked with Hardy before, he was ripped in Warrior and because he's brilliant. The way he conveyed his fearsome expressions through his eyes as Bane, no one could have done it better.
    Hardy wore 3 inch heels to look eye-to-eye with Bale. I felt he was bulked up and proper as Bane.

      My first para ? Well Tom Hardy threw away his Rick Flag role, which I believe is the role of a lifetime, and ditched it for Alejandro González Inarritu's next film about bear hunting called "The Revenant". If he hadn't played Bane the first time, he would have given it a second thought.

      Yeah, Hardy did a good job. My point was that no one would have fancasted him for the comic book version of Bane. Especially considering Hardy's height. Even with shoe lifts. So Gal Gadot playing a slimmer version of Wonder Woman, and Jesse Eisenberg playing Lex Luthor, could POSSIBLY (most likely will) work out.
      As for Hardy pulling out of the Suicide Squad movie, because he had already played another DC character. I haven't heard that before. And I'm sure that's not the case. Had he not accepted the role in the first place, then that theory would make sense. But regardless, him playing two completely different DC characters from different cinematic universes, would've been accepted by at least 99.9% of movie-goers. Apparently you'd fall into the 1%. LOL

I agree it wasn't really struggling, but The Rock completely boosted the franchise. It was getting stale, I speak for myself when I say The Rock is the reason I started caring again with Fast Five. He boosted it's success which probably allowed it to last this long. Without him I doubt Fast Five would have been as good or performed as well as it did in the box office.

When Teth Adam becomes the president of Egypt he can dress like that when he's not in battle. He can't switch out of his Black Adam form, but he could probably change clothes into a suit. If he switches out of the Black Adam form he'll disintegrate as he's been in the Black Adam form for 5000 years. The Black Adam form doesn't age, but the human form does age. He should be Teth-Adam and be separate from Theo Adam. He can have the genius of the ancient times, and Theo Adam can have the genius of the modern times where they make a great team. Theo Adam brings him to the modern times while also being a close representative to him in Egypt. Theo Adam should be very genius too but those aspects aren't really looked at. There's a certain woman in the modern times that's also a great support to Black Adam. That's from him transitioning to evil and enraged, where even as doing evil he has a lot of good intentions. I guess then he wouldn't be evil in the textbook term. Then he becomes the anti-hero and as a twist Captain Marvel Shazam fights for the side of evil with Lex Luthor, but Captain Marvel does it as good where he just sees that Lex Luthor's side while choosing evil does so much good. Billy Batson is only an adolescent child and Lex Luthor also manipulates him. Billy Batson's blood family should all get Shazam powers who he had never met before but they wouldn't be nearly as powerful as him. Their role is to support him, bring the family concept to the abilities, and to also self study magic to bring their own knowledge to it as a study group Wizard Shazam puts together for Captain Marvel Shazam Billy Batson. The lines get blurred where to some Lex Luthor is the hero who brings great benefit to the world, and good and evil aren't so clear. Black Adam aids Justice League while they also have their indifferences. There could be a transitionary process. Another interesting part is the Egyptian Gods, and Black Adam can bring them into the picture developing them into the story. He can bring his ancient royal Egyptian science, his Olympian science, and the Egyptian Gods into the picture which would be very cool for bringing that ancient history in ruling Egypt with Theo Adam who has the modern knowledge. Theo Adam has no powers. Theo Adam should stay a separate consciousness so that Teth Adam has a framework to work with in a family sense where he sees his legacy in his descendants to also get a picture of what he can offer to the world today. He can also learn more about Egyptian royal ancient science such as guidance from the Egyptian Gods, and Theo Adam finds that subject very interesting himself to also aid in his modern Western analytic skills. The Egyptian Gods had a lot of plans for Teth Adam before Teth Adam was banished, and that process can begin again to bring that to being a president of modern Egypt. Theo Adam can be sort of a vice president or however Egypt does that. Or if he's not a vice president he's a close support figure to aid Teth Adam in developing into modern times as a family member while there's other professionals in their positions for other things. Theo Adam's role would be very important for this as there's such a large gap to fill and Teth Adam has so many indifferences and reacts so much to where someone would need to be a close family member to help support him from those problems.
