Jared Leto did more than just cut his hair for The Joker in Suicide Squad... he bleached it blonde as well! Leto revealed his new look on Instagram:

Leto just spent a few days in Toronto with Suicide Squad director David Ayer. My guess is that he didn't just go all the way there for a haircut. Leto probably did some costume and makeup tests, as well as some photo shoots as The Joker.

Does this mean we're going to get a blonde Joker? Hopefully not! Comic Book Movie spotted another Instagram post from Leto's hairstylist which features some green hair dye. Going blonde first should help the green dye really pop!

Some fans have already pointed out that Leto's Joker haircut looks similar to the Joker from the recent Batman: Endgame storyline.

      He's well known for being very alternative so I think that nothing makes him hesitate in the case of a make over. He had some of the most extreme looks already in the past, so then green hair wouldn't actually be anything near extreme for him.

      So awesome, but he should not, in a million years become a blonde Joker. That would be a huge mistake for the franchise and future Dc live action. It would make fans rage all over planet earth. So I hope they still go with green hair. Well, praying is maybe a better word for it...

    So wait, did he dye his hair green do costume fittings/photos and then bleach his hair or have they bleached his hair in preparation for the green?

      the bleach is for the green color to stand out more, if they kept it black, it would look like dirty green or brownish (like ledger's joker hair), I guess they are going for a brighter green hair color

        I get that but if he was in Toronto only for a few days they would want to see how he looked with the green hair and maybe get some photos, so if they've only just bleached his hair to add the green later then they haven't shot any promo pics.

        Basically if they bleached is hair after the green then they have probably taken some pictures in costume

        If they bleach his hair before then chances are they haven't done a fully body look.

            The green hair is a given, bleaching the hair before or after just gives us a better idea of wether promotional pictures have been taken.

            The green hair dye pic was uploaded 2 days ago so chances are he bleached his hair after.

      Most likely is a temporary green color. The base of the hair is bleached to have a brighter green color, but the green color itself its not permanent and most likely only applied when he shoots or for test and promotion.

    My theory is that he went to Toronto and got all dressed up as the Joker for a promotional photo that will be revealed soon. He had his hair dyed green for that shoot and had to bleach it afterwards so no one would see that it was green.

    I wonder if this is the actual Joker hairstyle he's going to where in the film or we're just seeing it slicked back and not styled, since he's at fashion week right now. I feel like WB/Jared Leto/David Ayer would want to keep the final style a secret until they officially release it.

          Actually as I said earlier, the hair is slicked back with gel. Its actually raised, spikey and crested to give the original Joker impression.

    The blond hair will be just the first layer, than he will paint on green. What is very cool actually, i think is the first actor to really paint his hair for the role (or am i wrong? Ledger did it too? I dont know). Also, using Snyder's Joker as base, with the terrific Endgame look? YES. FUCK YES.

      Yeah,heath did dye layers of his hair green for his joker but,I see with leto there going for a grounded but,keeping the more comicbook elements that wouldn't have worked in Nolans universe.
