   Stop trolling because I know you are an Elfman cunt. Hans Zimmer is an Academy Award winner with over 10 nominations, four Grammys and two Golden Globes. He's the best contemporary composer out there. Danny Elfman is a jingle-writer compared to him.

   And he didn't score Batman because he thought it would show his collaboration with Nolan a finger in The Crimson. The phenomenal work he did with The Dark Knight trilogy is to be remembered as his titular Batman theme.

      Why do you have to trash elfman in order to praise someone else? Zimmer's the more accomplished composer across different genres and moods, but elfman put together a hell of a main theme that I still enjoy listening to and get chills from to this day. He gets a little samey with his themes now and again , as does zimmer, but the batman 89 march and the opening to Beetlejuice are awesome and inspiring to me.

         To add to that I think Zimmer does more with 5 minutes of a scene unwinding than elfman but if I want to listen to a rousing 60 seconds of timeless and instantly memorable theme id probably go with elfman or say it's too close to call. If that makes him a jingle writer then so be it.

         Zimmer makes different themes for different characters which all stand out yet appear unified, Batman and Batman Returns had the same Batman theme playing all the time. I love the theme but c'mon.

         Selina's theme was amazing though, when she was wrecking her home. I can listen to that all day.

   To prove I really like what I like I must first say everything that has been written by (Insert zimmer/elfman here) sucks.

   Joking aside this is great and I look forward to him donning the mantle that Zimmer and Elfman and Hefti had in helping define this new era of Batman.

      Just to add after listening to video number 2 (Sketchbook 4) I do believe that XL can help portray Batman's internal struggle and (for want of much better word) sadness, we've had heroic, gothic, iconic and lament (from Bruce's side) but nothing expressing the things that Batman has to do that sometimes he knows he has to do but would rather not, if you understand what I'm getting at.

      I don't think we've ever quite had that internal whirlwind building up, the machinations beneath the cowl being expressed through the music.

      Of course this all depends on a solo Batman film and the script as well.

   I never liked Hans Zimmer's work in the Nolan trilogy. I am partial to Danny Elfman's work in the Tim Burton Batman films that inspired the music for B:TAS. That music just pumps you up for the movie, similar to how the music worked for the old Superman movies. I do, however, rather enjoy the score for Man of Steel and think it is a wonderful, modern, take on Superman and feel the old music would not have fit the mood of the movie. I think the music in Man of Steel is one of the best things about it. Looking forward to seeing what is done for Batman in this movie.

   Sorry, but I think this is a mess. At best, it sounds like a fan score, from a Zimmer fan. They must be very good friends, which is very fortunate for Junkie XL. I truly hope I stand corrected, after seeing/listening to "Dawn of Justice".

   As much as I love Ben affleck as batman, I can't imagine batman kicking superman's butt in dawn of justice because that's impossible. Never going to happen
