The Daily Beast just published a new interview with Jason Momoa, who will play Aquaman in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and Justice League: Part 1, before starring in his very own Aquaman movie in 2018. That's quite the schedule! Momoa talked about how lucky he is as an actor to have so much work lined up over the next few years.

“It’s awesome as an actor to know what your future is going to be because I have children and I’ve busted my ass to put food on the table,” he says. “It’s awesome knowing that I’m going to be in Justice League because my son is the biggest Batman fan and my daughter loves Wonder Woman. It’ll be cool for them to see me in something because they’re not going to be watching Game of Thrones or Red Road anytime soon, but now they can see Daddy kicking ass in IMAX.”

While it hasn't been officially announced yet, IMAX cameras were spotted on the set of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice last year. Momoa's comments seem to confirm that the movie will open in IMAX theaters.

    Apparent there will be a scene where Aquaman gets tired of living life in the ocean and decides to work in a fish and chip shop that will eventually be well known for serving the best halibut. Take this with a HUGE grain of salt.

    Still interested to see how they are implementing IMAX in the Wayne murders. Not the type of scene you'd expect to be shot with IMAX cameras.

        That's an interesting theory. We could also be getting up close to the bullets hitting their bodies. That sort of fits into Snyder's style. I'm also expecting slow-motion, like in Gotham.

    Im sick off his race talk. He always has to stress out that hes proud of his heritage. We get it... And the way he talks about aquaman being blonde just shows me how much he cares about the character.....
    EDIT: and i thought he said in an earlier interview that he would NOT be in batman v superman?

      And I'm sure Momoa cares plenty about Zack Snyder's version of Aquaman. That's ALL that matters.

        Theres nothing wrong with it at all but if a german for example states that hes proud of gernany etc everyone would call him nazi etc. Lets just skip that cause were all humans no need to stress where ur from in almost every goddamn interview

    I'm pretty sure that every comic book movie not directed by Christopher Nolan, will be released in BOTH 3D and IMAX. The movie studios gotta at least TRY to reach that 1 billion dollar box-office mark. Momoa's Aquaman will be BAD ASS!

Hopefully this awesome character will finally earn the respect of the general audiences.     A nice perspective. The dude knows he's working a job, unlike anyone else and job security is fickle in this industry. Prima donas all over Hollywood get so uppity about signing long-term contracts. Sounds like Mr. Momoa has a practicable head on his shoulders.

    Aquaman kills if he has to, apart from Batman & Superman he is an eligible candidate to lead the JL.

    I wouldn't be surprised if he viewed himself as the leader.

    Apart from seeing Affleck as Batman this is the most exciting character see come to life for me at least. I loved JM in GOT and am looking forward to seeing him as Aquaman, I was never that interested in Aquaman until I read the version of him in New 52 which I loved.
    I'm looking forward to seeing how ZS and JM bring him to life.
    What am I hoping for? Ultimate badass King of the Seas.
