Sneak peek at Zsasz from next week's episode of 'Gotham' -- "Penguin's Umbrella" (video)

Cool. Calm. Collected. Unhinged. Zsasz is coming, and has Jim Gordon in his sights on next week's episode of Gotham, titled "Penguin's Umbrella". Get a sneak peek at Zsasz in the video above, courtesy of FOX. Here's the full episode synopsis:

As violence between Maroni (guest star David Zayas) and Falcone continues to escalate, Penguin reveals a new element of his manipulative strategy, forcing Gordon to deal with the consequences of his decision to spare Penguin’s life in the all-new “Penguin’s Umbrella” episode of GOTHAM airing Monday, Nov. 3 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.

Let's do some math:
"The Rogues Gallery" have members that are in their mid-twenties, tops. If we add ten years, give or take, that's in their mid-thirties. That's not old *at all*.
Bruce Wayne is 12. Let's add 10 years. That's 22.
Plus or minus ten year difference: I'd say that's perfectly acceptable.
I swear, I'm not just nitpicking on you, its just I've seen so many people say exactly the same thing, and I don't understand their logic.

Not trolling. Just saying I'm not a big fan of the actor being in two superhero shows as different villains, which is ironic because I'm fine with Chris Evans being Human Torch/Captain America and I'm fine with Ben Affleck being Batman despite him being Daredevil too.
Maybe it's because these shows are playing at the same time.

      I'd rather they came up with their own characters though, rather than just Smallvilling it. I have a friend, who thinks he's a Superman fan, because he watched all of Smallville. I've offered him comics, but he won't have it. I hate to think of a generation of Batman fans, based on watching Gotham

So there going with the BB route having Zsasz be a hitman.. It just seems bizarre to me, Zsasz is supposed to be this totally unhinged maniac who kills because he hears voices in his head, having him act out these killings for a mob boss, it just doesn't work.

    I take it you're being sarcastic. Anyway, maybe it was added later because I honestly don't remember that being the case in the issues I read with Zsasz. Regardless, it's not like it's integral to his character. The enjoyment of killing and the scars are far more important.

      In the ARKHAM video games, Zsasz was very off the wall psycho, and did say some things about the voices speaking to him, telling him to "free" (kill) the poor souls inside people. Something like that.

am i missing something, i thought after school (age 18) bruce left for 7 years to train to become a vigilante? meaning he returned to gotham when he was about 25, so did he not take up the cape and cowl when he was 26, latest 27. Thats 15/6 years from where bruce is currently in Gotham. So why is everyone saying that these villains will be 60 by the time batman appears?

I don't understand this whole age complaint everyone has. Batman starts his career in his 20's. He's 12 in this show and many of the villains are in their 20's. When he's Batman, they'll be in their 30's. That's not that old folks. When he's in his 30's, the villains will be in their 40's. Guess what, you can still be a serial killer in your 40's and still hire young 20 year old henchmen to fight Batman for you. Same goes for when Batman is in his 40's and the villains are in their 50's. It's simple math. Do you know how to math? This is a stupid complaint and it's not real, its fiction and it makes for good tv so come up with something else or just enjoy something and stop nitpicking.

Lol I just read a whole article that was explaining that the Ra's al Ghul in ARROW is not the same as the Ra's in BATMAN BEGINS. It went on forever explaining that it's the same "character" but not the same "version" of the character I was like "...thanks." I thought it was a stupid pointless article written by some girl who thinks she understands comic books well.
I know not everyone's into comic books but I think the general public knows how comic book movies work. I don't think anyone was scratching their heads when they saw Captain America: "Wait....the Human Torch became Captain America? Is that in the comics?"
I think the general public understands the "different interpretation" spiel better than people realize.

The show is too lazy to portray and show what a real bad city looks like and explore what causes crime in a bad city. So they just shoot it in New York and make everything grayer and darker in the hopes it'll "look" like a bad city.

The show is also too lazy to come up with original villains that Gordon can face and would rather just take from the canon even though every other interpretation has done a better job with those characters. Don't worry you'll see the 50 year old Mr. Freeze soon.

And they definitely don't want to show Gordon as a young cop, before he becomes a detective, living his day to day in a bad area and being broken down by the average muggings and rapes he comes across as he works his way up the food chain. So instead they make him into an action hero/prodigy who bangs a heiress in a clocktower and gets all the cool cases and is so important that the mafia who is supposed to work with discreet and professional assassins decides to send a murderous psychopath into a police station to gun him down and then backflip out of a window. But I'm guessing Gordon chases him down, disarms him and roundhouse kicks him into a squad car immediately afterwards. Why does Gotham need Batman again?

The writers suck. The show is on fox. And the 50 year old english tool who created the show doesn't know anything about real crime or what makes a good Batman story.

It's a below average show that's fun to watch when there is absolutely nothing else on and if you like Batman. But keep in mind it's made for kids so I'd cut the show some slack.

There's a lot to like about the show: the look is powerful, I don't find the storylines "below average", and I think Camren Bicondova is an amazing physical actress (and decent at line delivery). When you say, "the show is too lazy to portray and show what a real bad city looks like and explore what causes crime in a bad city," what "bad" city are you thinking of? East St. Louis? Detroit? Camden, NJ? Cheyenne? They aren't trying to remake "Homicide: LOTS" or "The Wire". They're trying to make a show about a place where in 10-15 years people will be willing to believe that a giant bat is flitting around the tops of the skyscrapers preying on criminals.

  Well you see, you don't find the story lines below average because you are an idiot. And the look is only powerful if you are a person who cries when viewing pictures on instagram.
  Gotham doesn't look like a bad city. It looks like gentrified Manhattan. And gentrified Manhattan doesn't need a Batman. The producers wanted to replicate 1970's Manhattan but they failed. Their city doesn't look like 1970's NYC or like a current city Gotham, should resemble such as Newark or Detroit. Again it looks like a gentrified New York. All of the great comics and even Tim Burton knew how a bad city like Gotham should look. Dirty Gritty. Something resembling Manhattan, Detroit, or Newark with some Gothic architecture here and there. Then fill the streets with lots of garbage, lots of minorities, weird people, and realistic looking street gangs that appear to be apart of an actual, authentic criminal economy. It should look like an actual bad city where at a glance it looks like low level street crime could be a rampant thing. Gordon shouldn't be able to park his car when he drives through the place. For a show called Gotham, it misses one of the fundamental principles in a Batman work. Gotham city needs to be a character. The city should be a character but it isn't . It's a city that has been watered down for Fox. It's a PG-13 city with PG-13 criminals that pretend to be rated R.
  By explore what causes crime, would be to do what Frank Miller, Denny O'Neil and all the other great Batman writers did. They explored the essences of the problem that Batman was up against, not "oh no it's another eccentric psycho to stop." The villains are all one dimensional cartoon characters. None of them are authentic. Even the Animated Series created characters with more authenticity, depth and logic than this retarded show has come up with.
  And why would you think the people in Gotham need 10-15 years to believe in a Batman? Right now a guy exists who can just walk in a police station, shoot it up and then backflip out of a window. Batman's almost a tame idea when you put him next to that. There's no need for escalation since right now in the show all the eccentric criminals exist and they're operating in Gotham.
  The show as of now is about a super-cop in a generic city chasing down over the top, cliche and unbelievable criminals in it. It's like McDonalds. Food that idiots love.
  . In the show's current gotham assassins run into police stations and shoot at cops before backflipping out of windows. It's already a nutty city.

  At the end of the day Ben is a double Oscar winner. There is very few who won Oscar two times. He is one of them. Bad films make every actors. But i like the film. Yes,it is bad film no doubt. But i like it. At least liking this is not any big thing where people can love Bieber etc piece of sh*t.
